Work Text:

Cherry blossoms.

Spring breeze.

Flower bouquets.

Wedding decor.

White lace.

Soft music playing from a nearby pianist.

An aisle, filled with a trail of petals.

Soft whispers of people he knew. From past teammates, to family, and friends, and everything in between.

He watched as they stood. One by one. They looked at him each smiling, some close to tears.

He didn't mind though, because straight ahead was the love of his life.

Waiting in a black suit, and a red carnation pinned to his left side.

Yellow, curious eyes, full of love.

It was just a short distance away.

His Mom came up and they linked arms.

The bouquet of flowers held tightly in his hands as he stepped slowly.

Passing everyone, he only saw the one that waited for him.

Waited, like he always did.

8 years total. They waited 5 years, to see each other. A year of highschool and 4 years of college.

Then another 3 to propose.

They were here now. As his mother handed him to the love of his life.

"Keiji."

He smiles at the sound of his love calling his name. He responds, "Koutarou."

Akaashi hands his bouquet to his best man Kenma, who takes it carefully.

He turns back around to his soon to be husband.

The preacher begins to read, and they hold each others gaze. Not once stopping other then to blink. The world could be ending, and they wouldn't even notice.

The ring bearer, who was Hajime and Tooru's adopted child, Haru, handed them the rings on a plushy pillow.

Akaashi's ring held a topaz gemstone. Resembling Bokuto's eyes.

Bokuto's ring held a dark teal sapphire, resembling Akaashi's eyes.

Written inside of each was their initials.

"I love you, Keiji." Bokuto whispered as he slipped the ring on Akaashi's finger.

"I love you too, Koutarou." As he did the same.

The preacher began to speak again, before Bokuto began repeating.

"I, Koutarou Bokuto, take, Keiji Akaashi, to be my lawfully wedded husband. To have and to hold, from this day forward. For richer or for poorer. In sickness and in health. To love and to cherish. For as long as we both shall live.

Akaashi smiles as Bokuto wipes away a stray tear, and leans into his touch.

The preacher speaks to Akaashi next, before he repeats.

"I, Keiji Akaashi, take, Koutarou Bokuto, to be my lawfully wedded husband. To have and to hold, from this day forward. For richer or for poorer. In sickness and in health. To love and to cherish. For as long as we both shall live.

Bokuto smiles as the preacher gives permission to make any further vows.

"Keiji," Bokuto smiles. "I feel like I've been waiting my whole life, for this exact moment. To be standing at the alter with you. I have never felt more loved by someone. You are my definition of happy. There is no one I rather spend the rest of my life with. No matter how many fights, or how many hurtful words we say, whether we mean them or not. I'll always choose you. It will always be you Keiji."

Akaashi smiles and he swears he wants to burst into tears of happiness.

"Koutarou," Akaashi rests the palm of his hand on Bokuto's cheek. "I don't think I'll ever be able to say that enough. There are not enough words in all the languages out there to describe how much I love you. How happy you make me is unbelievable. I'll follow you where ever you go. When I can't, I'll have this ring to remind me. To remind me of the look in your eyes everytime I see you. So know that when you're emotional, and you need someone there I'll always lend you my hand. For as long as I get your love in return."

The latter just smiles softly. "You will always have my heart Keiji. Always."

They say their I do's before finally the preacher says, "You may kiss the groom."

Both smile as they lean in and seal their love. People around them stand up and cheer.

Koutarou picks Keiji up and spins them in a small circle, before setting him back down.

"Keiji Bokuto-Akaashi." Koutarou smiles.

Keiji smiles. "I love it." They kiss again ignoring the continuous cheering of the spectators.

It's blissful, and soft.

When they part, and their eyes meet it's like as long as they have each other... Nothing can hurt them. For they are not afraid.

Notes:

I think we can all agree that these 2 deserve happiness. As you may have noticed if you read my Iwaoi story, The Letters You Never Sent I used Haru again. Just this time under a happier situation. You can check that out if you want.

Anyways thanks so much for reading this. I hope you enjoyed this fluffy BokuAka fic. Don't forget to stay safe :)
