Chapter Text

A cyan painted being ponders to himself, as he stands at the entrance of the giant floating sanctuary he had just finished creating, furnished with walkways, conveyors, star themed decorations, and even a pool.

The stage is set. A threat is evident, and a hero is needed.

There's just one problem.

No one is compatible.

No one fits my requirements to be the new savior.

At least... not in this universe...

I see now, I must look elsewhere... how about here?

After searching for countless hours, the being has yet to find the one. Despite the worthy candidates, no one has passed his final test.

Eventually, he finds himself at a relatively normal world. Yet... something feels off about it. He decides to investigate.

The being is drawn towards a small town labeled 'FARAWAY Town.' More specifically, a tiny section of the town, where there is only a park, a supermarket, a church, and a multitude of houses.

He focuses on the park entrance, where a group of 3 are chatting. A pale, blonde boy with a bag of various gardening equipment, paired with a tall, tanned boy and a pink-haired girl, both carrying a bag of fertilizer. The girl seems particularly fatigued.

"Thanks again for helping me, guys. Those bags can be really heavy sometimes."

"It's no problem, Basil! They're not too bad to carry around, anyways."

"Spe... Speak... for yourself... Kel. What.. what do they even put in these things?!"

"Oh, come on Aubrey! It isn't THAT bad. Just remember to lift with your legs, not your back."

"That's what I'm doing!"

"Uhh, that looks like lifting with your back."

"Oh, we've got jokes now, Mr. Funnyman?"

"Hey, I'm just trying to help you, you know!"

"Uhhh... guys? P-please don't fight..."

As the the two continue their arguing while the blonde boy attempts to interfere, the being focuses his attention on the tanned boy named Kel. He looks into his past... and the results are astonishing.

Persistent enough to knock on a friend's door for weeks, in the hopes of seeing them again.

Caring enough to do whatever he can to snap his brother out of a depression.

Determined enough to mend a long forgotten friendship back together.

Forgiving enough to accept others when they have made the worst of mistakes.

Clearly, he is someone who would is willing to accomplish anything if it meant helping their friends.

He's perfect, The being declares to himself. He's everything I need in a new savior.

Now, to test him like the others.

Before he can become the savior, I must see if he has the spirit for adventure.

Kel wakes up, only to see that it is pitch black outside. He looks at his clock. 1:30 AM.

Why did I wake up in the middle of the night? Come on...

Well, since I'm up, I guess I'll get myself something to drink.

He begins to tiptoe out of his room when he remembers something.

Oh yeah. Mom, Dad, and Sally are at Gramma's right now. What am I sneaking around for?

That reminds me, It's annoying how hesitant they were with leaving me behind. They need to know I can be responsible! Its not like I'm gonna burn the house down, or vanish from existence! 

After a quick swig of water, Kel heads back up the stairs, ready to go to bed. Before he succumbs to sleep, however, he notices a very peculiar light from his window.

'What... what is that light? And why is it coming from the treehouse? Sunny's old house is still on the market...

I swear, if it's one of the hooligang trying to pull a prank... I need a closer look.

Kel, now ready to whoop someone's ass, quickly grabs a flashlight and some pepper spray, and heads towards the tree house.

As Kel walks towards the treehouse, the light intensifies greatly, shining out of all openings.

"WHO'S THERE?!" he shouts. No response.

Guess I gotta come in.

He begins to shiver as he approaches the ladder. A tinge of doubt circles through his mind.

Maybe... maybe this isn't a good idea. There's a LOT of red flags surrounding this situation right now. I can still turn back...

...Buuuut that's what they'd want me to think. I bet in there is Mikheal recording me on his phone right this instant, hoping to get some reaction of me being scared or something. Well guess what Mikheal! I AIN'T AFRAID!!!

The air around Kel turns colder with each step he takes up the ladder, while the light reaches almost blinding levels of instensity. Its almost unbearable when he reaches the final step.

And then he walks through the door, to find...

No one. The light mysteriously dissappears, and the air almost instantaneously returns to normal. Nothing about the tree house has changed in the slightest.

Except for one thing.

"What the..." Kel asks himself as he looks towards a cyan and white striped six-pointed star floating directly above the center of the table. It rotates at a slow, yet constant pace.

Why does it sound like... it's calling to me? It feels... calming, somehow?

...

I shouldn't touch this.

Despite Kel's thoughts, he reaches out to grab the object.

So why do I want to...?

He touches the star...

Static.

Static.

Thats all the boy can remember.

What... What happened? Where am I?

He's very quick to take notes of his surroundings. Or rather, lack of them.

WHY AM I IN THE SKY? WHERE'S GROUND?! AM I DEAD? 

"Hello."

### immediately turns around upon hearing the voice. What he sees, is some kind of... person? Except their body is a gradient of cyan to white, and where a face should be, there is instead some kind of cyan six pointed star?!

"WH-WHO ARE YOU? WHERE AM I?!"

"Relax. You are not in danger. Allow me to explain."

"A-am I... dead?"

"Hahaha, do not fret, you are perfectly fine. Now, let me begin...
My name is Cyalm, and I am from a group of celestial beings called the Points."

"Ok..."

"I have summoned you here because I believe that you are the second coming of the Star Savior.

"The Star Savior?"

"You see, ages ago there existed an ancient blight of this world. Stratosfear, as they were named, had threatened to use the power of stars to destroy this very world. But thanks to the efforts of Star Savior, who was able to harness the power of these stars, they were defeated. Mysteriously, however, they had dissappeared shortly after Stratosfear's comeuppance.

"So why is a second one needed now?"

"The answer is quite simple. Recently, a new evil being who dons the name Celesteal has been discovered, and the world is in danger once more. You must collect the stars that are scattered across various areas of the world in order to increase your celestial power. This will help you gain the trust of wandering points."

"Are... you sure I can do this? This all seems a bit... daunting."

"I know you can. I wouldn't have summoned you here otherwise. Just think of it as a grand adventure."

"Ok..." ### responds, as a flurry of questions swarm through their mind. What is this??? Grand adventure? Celestial power? What do other points even look like? What kind of name is 'Celesteal' anyways?! And how dangerous are they?! What is happening?

"Now then, let us travel to the Sky Emporium, where you will be able to meet other points."

Magically, a clear cyan path forms infront of ###, where it points to some sort of floating fortress in the distance.

He takes a step, only to be sent speeding at an incredible speed.

"WOOOAAAAAAH! WOOOOOOO! THIS IS AWE-"

### is suddenly silenced when when he faceplants onto the Emporium's entrance.

"oooooowwww."

"Oh I'm so sorry! I didnt realize it would be that fast. Are you okay, savior Kel?"

"Nah- I'm fin- ow. I'm good. Just gimme a min- Wait. Savior Kel?"

"That is your name, is it not?"

'I... think so? I can't remember anything prior to waking up... when I try to, all I can think of is some kind of... static?"

"Oh dear... I fear Celesteal may be already attempting to thwart our efforts. They must've given you some form of amnesia."

"How is that even possible?"

"Celesteal's power is that great, I'm afraid. Even more the reason to defeat him."

"Do you think I can get them back?"

"Hmmm... my best guess would be star power. If anything can revert Celesteal's magic, it'll be that."

"...I see." Kel responds as he takes a moment to think to himself.

So... in order to recover my memories, I've got to go an this adventure while also simultaneously saving the world...

You know, it doesn't sound too bad when I put it like that.

Who... was I though?

Guess there's only one way to find out.

"I'm in."

"Lovely! Now, let us enter the Emporium."

"Kel?"

Knock knock knock

"Hey Kel?! You in there?! Why aren't you responding to my texts?"

Knock knock knock

"KEL! YOU BETTER COME OUT BEFORE I BUST DOWN THIS DOOR!! WE PROMISED TO HELP BASIL WITH GARDENING TODAY!!!"

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

No response.

I swear, if he's sleeping... I gotta throw rocks at his window, don't I?

Wait...

Aubrey tries to simply open the front door, in hopes its unlocked. It swings right open

This Absolute Moron. Forgot to lock his door.

...

Yeah, he's in for a rude awakening.

She stomps up the stairs towards his room. She knocks on the door.

"KEL! FINAL WARRING! GET YOUR ASS UP BEFORE I DRAG YOU OUT MYSELF!

...

No response.

...

Alright. Im done with his shit.

Aubrey slams the door open.

"KEL I SWEAR TO-"

All she sees is an unmade bed, the cover seemingly thrown to side, as if someone had gotten out of it.

"...Kel?"

Where... is he with Basil already?

She calls Basil.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Basil. Is Kel with you?

No, why?

"He's not in his house."

"W-What?"

"His door was unlocked and his bed is a mess."

"I'm coming over right now."

"Alright. I'm gonna call my friends, see if they've seen anything at all."

"Sounds good. See you soon."

"Yeah."

...

Where the hell did Kel go?
