Chapter Text

The plan was simple, go to the club, hack into the computers, get the information and destroy the competition. He'd been waiting for this chance for months, what could go wrong?

"Are you ready?" His best friend, Tubbo asked. Tommy flashed a confident smile towards him.

"This is going to be easy" Tommy said, grabbing the handle to open the door "We've been planning this for years, nothing can go wrong"

Loud music filled his ears as soon as the door was opened. Flashing lights of various colors decorated the dark room, the shadows of people dancing on it's walls.

To the right was a bar, filled with people. Drinks were being made left and right, the bartenders could barely keep up.

"Just act normal" Tommy whispered to himself, blending in with the crowd. He walked towards the bar, having to push some drunk people out of his way.

Tubbo was sat on a couch, on the other side of the club. Tommy watched as he grabbed his phone, starting to set up everything needed.

They were at their correct locations, now all they needed was to find a way to get in.

According to the club's blueprint, there would be a door right next to the bar. But, Tommy couldn't see a thing. Why did they have to choose the busiest day to do this?

He scanned the room, trying to find the door.

When his eyes finally found it, he was unsurprised to see security guards in front of it. Their dark clothes made them blend in with the walls.

The flashing lights hit the security guard, and Tommy noticed something shine in his back pocket. If his guess was correct, it was a key.

If they caused a distraction, Tommy could pickpocket the guard.

On the dancefloor were his other friends, Jack and Wilbur, who were responsible for the distraction. They would pretend to get in a fight, which would grab the guard's attention, giving Tommy enough time to grab the keys.

He mouthed a quick "Now" to them, indicating for the distraction to start.

Wilbur grabbed Jack by his shoulders, shoving him away. Jack tumbled over a person next to him, causing a fuss between the crowd.

"Fuck off, dumbass!" Wilbur yelled over the music, with fake anger. Jack steadied himself, before charging towards Wilbur.

Apparently, that was enough to get the security guard's attention.

As the guard walked over to the distraction, Tommy quickly ran behind him. Quick fingers entering his back pocket, grabbing the keys.

First part of the plan was done, four more to go.

He walked away from the guard, not wanting to attract suspicion to him. Putting the keys away, he went towards where Tubbo was sat down.

"So?" Tubbo asked while Tommy sat down next to him "Did you get it?"

"Of course" He replied, eyes gazing towards the dancefloor, where Wilbur and Jack were getting kicked out by the security guard "Now we just have to wait until their shift ends, when the other guards start their shift"

"That's thirty minutes from now" Tubbo said "We could buy some drinks if you want to"

"And waste all of our money on some shitty alcohol?" Tommy scoffed. This club was the most expensive one to get into, since it was owned by a prestigious family. The alcohol was too expensive, just like everything else. After spending so much money getting into it, they couldn't afford to spend any more.

"To be fair, it would be better than sitting here doing absolutely nothing" Tubbo argued.

Just as Tommy was going to argue back, he saw someone that grabbed his attention.

"Shit, he's here" Was the only thing that came out of Tommy's mouth.

Standing next to them was the son of the club's owner, Ranboo.

Ranboo, as far as Tommy knew, was spoiled brat that always got whatever he wanted. His parents were dangerous people, heads of the most notorious mafia in the city. With the important status, came the money, which allowed them to own the club, along with some other things.

Getting involved with the mafia wasn't something Tommy wanted to do. At least for now, he'd been staying far away from anyone involved with it.

If this plan worked well, they'd have important information on Ranboo's family. Information that could get them into prestigious places, even political ones.

He'd known Ranboo since they went to school together, a few years ago. To say they hated each other would be an understatement.

It wasn't his fault that Ranboo hated him, Tommy just seemed to attract drama like a magnet. That problem had gotten him into some very bad situations. If he had known Ranboo was a mafia kid, he would have stayed far away. But, things like that aren't really possible to notice.

Right now, he just wanted Ranboo to go away and not notice him. Picking up a fight would not be good for their plan.

"Tommy?" Tubbo's voice took him out of his thoughts "Are you ok?" Tommy nodded, making a signal with his hands for Tubbo to look at Ranboo.

"Oh" Was Tubbo's simple reply "Don't worry about him, he doesn't stay here for long"

"How are you so sure?" Tommy hissed out, trying to not get any attention.

"I've gotten some footage from the last few weeks" He answered "He never stays in the club for long. He only comes here to check if everything's ok and then leaves"

"Well, I hope he doesn't decide to stay today" Tommy hopefully said. They've already gotten so far with their plan, Tommy would be pissed if it didn't work.

"You're focusing on the wrong thing" Tubbo sighed "If you get nervous about this, you'll probably get nervous about the rest of the plan"

Tubbo was right, he shouldn't be focusing on Ranboo. They had a plan, and it was going to work. No escape now.

He looked at his phone. Two minutes . Two minutes before he makes the riskiest decision of his life.

"We should get up" Tommy says, getting out of the sofa, Tubbo doing the same.

His nerves were almost getting to him, but he really didn't want to have a heart attack while walking towards the bar. Maybe some other time.

Like clockwork, the guards got out of the doorway right when the time was right. It was their chance now.

They sneakily walked over to the door, Tubbo watching Tommy's back while he opened the door.

Click

The door was open. That was way easier than expected. Do they seriously not have better security measures?

Whatever, Tommy wasn't going to question it. He just needed to get inside.

Walking inside of the room, he noticed how simple it looked compared to the rest of the building. A couple of computers here and there, some desks, a bookshelf and a coffee machine.

"Are we sure this is the right room?" Tommy asked, as Tubbo closed the door behind them. A look of confusion was on Tubbo's face, who was also wondering the same thing.

"Well, it's more...simple than I expected" He said, making an understatement "The important thing is that we get the information. Doesn't matter how the room looks" Tommy nodded, walking over to one of the computers.

He grabbed a pen drive from his front pockets, which would allow them to gather the information needed. Starting up the computer, he was surprised to see that it didn't need a password. Someone was getting fired for that.

"Is this a joke?" Tommy said, impressed by the lack of security measures. He slowly put in the pen drive, as if the computer was going to shock him at any second.

"This is really weird" Tubbo mumbled, getting information from the other computer "Why would they just leave these here without any passwords?"

It didn't make sense, a family notorious for their highly secured properties not having basic security measures on important things. Did they want people to steal their information?

"Does it matter?" Tommy sighed, he just wanted this to be over "As long as we get what we need, we're good"

"Yeah, as long as we don't get caught-" Tubbo tried to say, before being interrupted by the sound of a door opening.

Shit

Tommy looked back at the door, standing there was Ranboo, who had the angriest expression Tommy had ever seen on him.

An uncomfortable silence overtook the room, none of them knowing what to say. Still, Tommy wasn't going to just stand around and wait until Ranboo did something.

Inside of his right front pocket was a small handgun, already loaded. He raised it up, pointing it at Ranboo.

"Close the door" Tommy hissed. Ranboo closed the door, not wanting anyone in the club to know what was going on.

Tubbo mouthed something to him that vaguely looked like "What the fuck are you doing?"

"Look, we grabbed what we needed, now you're going to let us go" Tommy ordered with a confident expression, even though he felt extremely anxious.

"You know I can't do that" Ranboo said, looking more annoyed than ever "Give the information back, and I won't tell anyone you guys were here" Tommy shook his head, putting his hand on the trigger, pressuring Ranboo.

"I'm giving you one more chance" Tommy spat out "Let us go and nobody gets hurt"

This wasn't going as planned. They were supposed to be already out of the club by this hour. If only Ranboo was easy to negotiate with. Death threats didn't seem to work on him, which wasn't surprising, considering who his family was.

"You won't do it" Ranboo stated, with an unreadable expression "If you kill me, everyone will know it. My family won't stop until they've found who killed me"

As annoying as Ranboo was, he was right. His family could make news spread like wildfire, and their son's death wasn't going to be unimportant.

But, they had to get out of here, one way or another.

"I can't leave this place without the thing I came here for" Tommy argued "Tell me what your price is, and I'll pay it. I just want to get home safely"

"How about this," Ranboo started saying, motioning for Tommy to put down his gun "We could make a deal"

A deal? That didn't seem so bad.

"I'm listening" Tommy said, putting down his gun.
