   Summary

   Childe is insecure, but also roomies with Zhongli, so life is a-okay.

   He gets into fights a lot (only on purpose when it’s with animals) and he’s really stressed about college and the reports he needs to send back to the Tsaritsa, but it’s fine.

   He’s not spiraling out of control, he’s not self-destructing, he’s not lying to himself and he’s most definitely not in love with Zhongli.
   Because Zhongli’s one of his only friends and that would probably destroy their friendship.
   But he did accidentally stumble upon an evil organisation.

   Uh… whoops?

   Now here’s to hoping Zhongli has no connections to it whatsoever. And that dismantling this very organisation together side-by-side doesn’t reveal anything new and awful about the motivations behind why Zhongli, the person Childe is definitely-not-crushing-on, has chosen to befriend him in the first place…

   (Listen, I wanted a vaguely complex modern au and a chance to work out my atrophying humor-muscles again - so really, that's all this WIP is.)
