Work Text:
It was nearly 2 AM. He'd been rolling over in his bed for the past hour and, yet his mind stayed wide awake.
He was staying in the bedroom reserved for him in the Avengers headquarters. It was only on the weekends and days when May had to work late.
He decided to get up and get a glass of water, which would often help him fall asleep. He went down the stairs, trying to be as quiet as possible. As he reached the kitchen, he took a glass and filled it up, but then he felt his stomach grumble.
Was it too late for a midnight snack?
Peter didn't think so. It was called a midnight snack for a reason. He decided to make an omelet since he'd watched some omelet videos before going to bed.
He always put the heat on high since he didn't have the patience to wait a ton just to finish eating it quicker than how long he cooked it for. Then he put in some cheese and mushrooms onto the omelet, the delicious smell wafting over to him.
He'd been humming "Make my Dreams Come True" the whole day, so he decided to run to his room and get his headphones.
On the way back to the kitchen, he spotted a lego piece on the floor. He must've left it out when he'd been playing around with them.
He walked down to the lab, where Tony and Peter liked to build stuff with legos. It was usually after working on homework or after helping Mr. Stark with some suits.
He put the lego piece back in the box and saw all the lego masterpieces they had built on display all around the lab.
He smiled as he looked around, the moments flooding his mind, and Karen startled him by saying, "There appears to be a fire in the kitchen.
"What?" He yelled, running to the stove and quickly shooting his webs, putting out the fire.
He sighed. "My omelet."
That's when Tony walked into the kitchen, as sleepy as can be with the messiest bedhead. "Kid, what the hell happened? It's 2 AM."
Peter stood there for a second, thinking of what to say. "Um . . .midnight snack?"
