Work Text:

It happened all too quickly for the demon's liking. Time passed so slowly sometimes, but Leviathan felt as if the one person who understood him was being ripped away from his hands. Why did the human realm have to have his Henry? Why now? He wasn't ready for them to go yet.

The avatar of envy began to question who would spend time with him. Who would talk about Ruri-chan with him? Would Ruri Hana miss y/n too? Would anyone else watch anime with him? He knew the twins had a liking to video games, most demons did nowadays, but he wasn't sure he could find another Player Two quite like you.

Little did he know, you were feeling a similar way to him that night, and you wanted to get to know him better. A year wasn't enough for you to be close with your gamer boyfriend. You were trying to convince Lord Diavolo for a longer stay, but he just couldn't arrange at this moment. He promised he and Barbatos would arrange for another time for you to come visit, which is that what you really wanted. Clearly, it made the crowned prince happy that his exchange program went so well.

Anyhow, you had made your way to Leviathan's room. The third born was not expecting some big goodbye, but he ran to the door when he heard you call his brain. You were expecting the secret passcode; Leviathan unexpectedly open the door all the way. "Levi?"

"Y/n! H-hey. I thought it was you. Come in." Leviathan commented. It was odd to have him be so open to company, but he didn't feel like being reclusive tonight. No, tonight he wanted to breathe in and enjoy every single moment he had with you. He wanted to share the same air and let you know he enjoyed it when you were his. "What's with the sudden visit? I thought you were spending time with the twins. Not that I mind! I just wasn't expecting-"

"I wanted to spend time with you."

"What...?" Leviathan was shocked. A dark blush had overtaken his face. He wasn't expecting this even though he had been with you these last few months in Devildom.

The purple haired otaku didn't speak much as you pulled him to sit down on the couch. You would've given him a kiss on the cheek, but you didn't want to overwhelm him. You did know you came here with a specific purpose though. The day before today you had gone out shopping with Asmodeus. He helped you find something that Leviathan might enjoy that he didn't already own. You wanted to hide it, but Leviathan saw the small boxes in your hands.

Leviathan tries to bring his eyes to gaze into yours. His heart fluttered again and he took a breath before speaking. "My sweet Henry, did you come here with a purpose?"

"Well, I wasn't going to come say goodbye empty handed." You comment with a small smile, but you see Leviathan's facial expression falter when you said that. "Hey, I don't leave until tomorrow."

Leviathan nodded glumly before looking back to you with the sadness wiped away from his face but it still remained in his eyes. "Right! Yup! Just you and me for now though, lol. Leviathan and his player two until you go." A nervous laugh had fallen from the otaku's chapped lips. "But what did you have to share? I always talk and I'm sure I'll take your ear off - nOT literally or anything. Haha..."

"Levi, honey?"

"Hm?"

"Breathe."

"Heh, right." Leviathan exhaled. He just shook his head and looked over at you again. He was getting much too carried away with all of this. He should be happy you're here right now! You. The human he mistook as the icky normie, the human who learned about TSL just to form a pact, the human who had become more important to him than any Ruri-chan event that could ever possibly happen. "So..."

"Right." You comment and then hand the box in blue to him. It matched the blue water that was in his tank and the glow in his room. You shrugged a little bit. "I thought you might want something to remember me by."

Remember you? Leviathan would never dream of forgetting about you! Even so, he would not reject a gift from someone who has come to be so dear to him. Leviathan opened the box and gasped as he saw it. You had gotten him a customized charm bracelet - each charm representing something important to the both of you. There was small things that resembled the anime you watched (both from the human world and the Devildom), the games you played, and the moments you shared. “Is this snake because of the labyrinth?”

“Yup! A nice homage to Henry 1.0!” You joked a bit. You opened the other box. You put yours on yourself as Levi was quick to put his on. “And we match!”

“Oh!” Were you trying to kill him? He was sure that jewelry was a normie thing,  but he absolutely adored the fact he was matching with you. He studied the little charms again and he looked over at you. “This is in-incredible! Thank you, b-baby.”

You smile softly as you watch him attempt to be affectionate. Apparently, he was still a little worked up from unexpectedly seeing you. “Well, I thought it’d be something nice when the game is all over.”

Wait. Game over? Is that what you thought this was? Leviathan had to swallow his nerves for a moment. He stopped studying the charms on the bracelet as he locked eyes with you. He suppressed his fears as he corrected your previous statement. “What?! This isn’t game over! Our story isn't over. Sometimes players have to separate on a forked path is all. It creates a divided story but then it makes the reunion even more sweet, and I will see you again, y/n.” Leviathan said the last part more determined than ever.

Before you could speak, Leviathan grabbed both of his hands. "You're just leveling up. I'll meet you on the next level, okay? I'll be there for you every step of the way!"

It was sweet - the way he would talk about these metaphors. It somehow came off as extremely romantic, but to some people he was speaking a foreign language. You understood him perfectly. That was something he'd always been grateful for.

There was a silence that came over the room. You two stayed close to one another. Leviathan, still feeling brave, leaned in and kissed you. He hoped it was alright, but he felt relieved when you kissed him back. Yes, he was going to miss his player two, but he could enjoy these last few moments because he truly loved you. Leviathan wouldn't want to spend time with anyone else. He just hoped you remembered how strong his love was for you as you went to the next level.

Notes:

Ah, another fluff fic! I was not expecting to write another one, but I did. This one is also for a friend of mine who requested some Levi fluff fic. This was also my first time writing a y/n fic. So I hope it went okay!
