|| 3rd POV ||
"Mama! Mama! Look at what I did!", a small girl said, running up to her mother, showing a picture she had drawn.
The mother looks at the picture and then looks at her daughter with total disgust.
"Er- Claire, I mean Chloe, that's is utterly horrid.", the mother said before going back to pampering her nails.
Chloe drops the paper on the ground and stumbles away, with tears nearly slipping from her eyes.
"I just want you to be proud of me...", she whispers under her breath, wiping a tear away from her face.
The young blonde girl walks into her father's study room. The father glances up at his daughter and smiles.
"What do you need Sweetie?", he says, putting his pen down.
"Can you play with me?", Chloe asks, walking to her father's open arms.
"I'm sorry Honey, I'm very busy right now.", the father said disappointedly.
Chloe looks away from her father, refusing to let him see the tears threatening to spill.
"Nobody wants to play with me....", she whispers.
The Mayor frowns at her daughter and then pulls a drawer open.
"You know, I have something that'll make you feel better!", he says, sifting through his drawers.
Chloe looks up to see what he could possibly be pulling from his giant drawers. The Mayor pulled out a bag and handed it to Chloe.
"Open it!", he says with a smile on his face.
The little blonde girl smiles at her father and opens the bag to reveal a small teddy bear inside. It was yellow bear with a black and white striped stomach and black button eyes. Her eyes lit up at the bear and looks to her father.
"Thank you Daddy!", she says with joy as she hugs him.
"No problem, My Dear.", he says with a laugh and picks up Chloe to put her on the ground.
The little girl runs out the room with her new companion. Together, they created the best memories of her little life.

"For the love of God Calista- I mean, Chloe. Why are you so utterly useless!", Audrey yells.
Chloe winces at her mother's hurtful words. The words that had shocked her out of her memories. This had been the fourth time this week that she had been yelled for something.
"Why on Earth did I leave New York for this ridiculous city.", Audrey mutters, strutting off to her room.
The young teenager looks away from her mother, tears beginning to form in her eyes.
"All I wanted was your love...", she thought to herself, walking to her room. The young blonde crumbles onto her bed and lays there. She takes her phone out and scrolls through her contacts. It's Senior year, and she has strayed far from the kids in her class. Leaving her alone.
Not even Sabrina stuck around. After her only and best friend had left, Chloe realized she was wrong. Being mean doesn't do anything for her except keeps her alone.
She scrolls down to Adrien's number and hesitates.
"Do I want to call him...?", she thought.
She bit her lip and thought about her choices. She wanted someone to talk to. And the only person who has really been taking her calls were Adrien. And she was starting to feel bad for using him as a shoulder to cry on, even though he didn't mind.
Finally she made her decision and pressed the call button. The blonde girl holds her phone to her ear, calming her breathing down before he picks up.
Hello?
"H-Hey..can I talk to y-you...?"
Yeah sure, lemme just tell Marinette I need to go.
"O-Oh! If you're out right now, I can't w-wait..."
No, no, Marinette will understand.
"But-"
No buts, where do you want to meet?
"The cafe a-around the block w-works."
Alright, I'll meet you there in five then.
"Thanks Adrien.."
After a second the call hung up and Chloe pulled herself off the bed and went to wash her face. She looks at herself in the mirror. In the last three years, she had changed a lot. Or what she hopes is change.
She wore a white jacket and a pastel yellow blouse underneath. Chloe had on white jeans and black flats. Her hair was let down, curls tumbling down her shoulders. She had stopped using the bright blue eye-shadow and stuck with more natural colours.
Chloe glances at herself once more before leaving her room. She checks her phone one last time and walks out. The blonde girl went down the halls and to the main floor. Jean was standing by the door and glances over to her.
"I'm just heading out, if my dad asks, can you tell him I'm out at the cafe?", she told him.
He nodded and gave Chloe a smile as she walked out. The blonde teenager noticed across the street, Adrien was leaning against a wall, waiting for her. The sight of him makes her smile a bit. He's all that this girl has left. Adrien looks up and waves to her, gesturing for her to come over. With the invitation she walks across the street to meet up with him.
"Hey Chloe.", he says.
"H-Hey.. sorry for ruining your hang out.", she says softly.
"It's fine, Marinette understands.", he says, rubbing the back of his neck.
"What did you need to talk about?", he asks, changing the subject.
"My mom yelled at me again..", she murmured.
"Does your dad know?", he replies.
"What could he possibly do? She's his wife as well, and demanding as hell.", Chloe muttered with a strained laugh.
"But she didn't hurt you right?", Adrien asked, with a bit of worry laced in his voice.
"Not physically, no.", she replied.
"If you need to, you can come stay over at my place. We have a guest room if you need to.", he offers.
"Thanks, but I would probably end up causing trouble at your place.", Chloe said.
"I don't mind.", he replies with a smile.
"What about Marinette?", she asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Marinette knows you've changed and wouldn't mind. She also told me to tell you if you need anything she's willing to help.", Adrien replies.
"Thanks..", she says quietly.
Chloe hears a soft notification go off from her phone. She picks it up and looks at it. Her mother had texted her. The blonde teen gives a sigh and looks at Adrien.
"I need to go.", she mutters.
"Oh, alright. Call me if you need me, alright?", Adrien replies.
Chloe nods and waves goodbye as she walks back to her place.
Her mother was standing at the entrance, a frustrated expression was spread across her face as her daughter enters.
"Where did you go now?", she asks coldly.
"I went to talk to a friend.", Chloe replies, keeping her glance down.
"And you didn't even say a word?!", Audrey yelled.
"It's not like you would've cared either!", Chloe yelled back, losing herself to anger at her.
"Don't you dare talk back to me like that! I am your mother!", Audrey argues back.
"Yeah! The mother that was never around anyways! So you're basically nobody to me!", Chloe yells back, tears threatening to spill from her eyes.
"God, why did I come here to such an ungrateful brat!", Audrey whines.
"If you don't like it here, you can leave. In fact, I'll prepare your shit for you to get the hell out of my life again.", the blonde teen snaps.
Audrey stares at her daughter, in shock at her snap.
"Alright. Fine. I'll leave, and never return!", Audrey replies, strutting to the elevator.
After the elevator with Audrey inside had closed and left, Chloe fell down onto the ground in tears.
"If only I could tell you how much this hurts me...", she thought to herself.
