Work Text:

Sitting at his favorite spot in the library the hour was getting late, Remus had finished all his assignments. Except of course the one he had been procrastinating on. Remus had considered skipping that essay completely but he didn't want his grade to drop in Defense Against the Dark Arts. Besides, It wasn't like he hadn't heard it all before.

With the sensation of bile rising in his throat Remus opened his copy of Defense Magic to reluctantly write an essay on Werewolves. He turned the page to find the chapter completely covered in graffiti.

Chapter 24

Werewolves, also known as lycanthrope, are extremely dangerous [Sexy].

Werewolves could be easily distinguished from regular wolves by their shorter snout, [adorable nose] more human-like [dreamy] eyes, the tufted tail, and their mindless hunting of humans whilst in wolf form.[3] [need for tea.]

A werewolf could not choose whether or not to transform and would no longer remember who they were, and would kill even [prank] their best friend given the opportunity once transformed.[4] Despite this, they were able to recall everything they had experienced throughout their transformation upon reverting to their human form.[4] – [this one's true, remember when Prongs got his antlers stuck in a wire fence, so you gave him wire cutters for Christmas!]

The monthly transformation of a werewolf was extremely painful if untreated and was usually preceded and succeeded by a few days of pallor and ill health. [Treat with lots of gentle hugs and chocolate.] The werewolf could display irritation towards friends.[3] —[no comment ; ) ]

Without any humans [boyfriend] nearby to attack, [Smother in kiss] or other animals [books] to occupy it, the werewolf would attack itself [pout] out of frustration.

Remus turned the page. The rest of the chapter was torn out of the book; only part of the blacked out conclusion remained.

Most importantly when encountering a werewolf one needs to remember that . . . [your condition does not define you. You are a dedicated student, a patient teacher and a caring friend. Your ability to see the potential in people never ceases to amaze me. Your dry witted humor always makes me laugh and I can't wait to see you every morning. You are treasured by your friends and family just the way you are. Close this book. We've already written your essay for you.]

P.S. we tried to make wormy do it but he kept mis-spelling ''Wherewolf"!

Remus shut the book and wiped a tear from his eye. With a full heart he tread the steps up to Gryffindor tower and his four poster bed where his three sleeping friends would always have his back.
