Lost in a Dream

Summary:

"When I was young, I was told to start a garden. My mother said to me, 'Alice sweetheart, you have this beautiful gift you should nurture it, see how it grows on its own. Why don't you start a garden?' I'm glad I took her advice."

Alice sighed and put their head on Rosie's shoulder, "You know, Sometimes, I wonder if we could leave this world and live in the ones I create. My perfect little worlds..."

or

Alice (they/them) can create little planets thus adventure ensues! I am writing this as fanfiction because I needed families and didn't have enough characters. Also because it is a fun easy way to implement multiple different worlds and versions of people.

*ON BREAK*

Notes:

Chapter 1: Alice's Garden

Summary:

Alice (They/Them) and Rosaline, mostly known as Rosie, (She/Her) enjoy time together under a tree and talk about Alice's special craft. Rosie is very supportive of Alice and admires how much they care for their craft. Alice wonders if there is more she can do with her talent.

Notes:

SW// Passerine

This is inspired by the dream state Phil was put in by dream (The Green God). I found it really cool when Phil was able to see different versions of Tommy from the other timelines.

This story is also inspired by what it feels like to to write stories. The idea that you have essentially have created multiple worlds with complex people living their lives.

I have made a lot of characters and this is the first story I will be using these two original characters. I've had these two characters for a while kind of just living their own lives and growing as people in my mind. I thought it was finally time to put their lives on paper.

I hope you enjoy this story of mine!! :3
Please do not reuse my characters. If you use this story please give credit.

Chapter Text

"When I was young, I was told to start a garden. My mother said to me, 'Alice sweetheart, you have this beautiful gift you should nurture it, see how it grows on its own. Why don't you start a garden?' I'm glad I took her advice."

Alice looked so radiant as they sat under the tree next to the greenhouse. Rosie couldn't help but smile, she loved Alice so much and greatly admired how much Alice cared about their craft, she could listen to them talk about it for hours and never lose interest. Rosie had heard this story before, but it was ritual for her to ask how it all started and how it works after Alice had told tales from their garden.

"In my garden, I don't grow plants, or flowers, or food. I grow plants." Alice's planets. Rosie loved them almost as much and Alice but, how could she beat the love a God has for their children.

"Instead of burying a seed, I start with the death of a little star. The remains of the dead star collide together to make a baby planet! I then water my baby planet to give it oceans. I nurture and grow these worlds until they flourish on their own and create their own life. From there it's kind of like writing a story. I can change the laws of reality for each world, make the people in these worlds live easy happy lives, give quests and adventures to those who want them. Not every world can be perfect though. I can't control everything the humans do and they have the power to ruin the precious planet I made for them. I guess to these little people I am their God, a kind, helpful God, that interacts with them somewhat daily." Rosie giggled, no matter how many times Alice told her this they were always bursting with excitement as they expressed their love for their creations.

"And I'm the co-God?" Rosie chuckled and gave Alice a quick kiss. She loved helping Alice in the garden. She was always so careful when handling the weather and kept a close watch on people she was worried about.

"Of course your co-God! You help me so much! I even consider some of the planets your creations because of how much you care for them." They both laughed and closed their eyes as they enjoyed the wind blowing their hair back and shaking the leaves of the tree. They sat in silence for a moment holding hands listening to the sounds of nature surrounding them.

Alice sighed and put their head on Rosie's shoulder, "You know, Sometimes, I wonder if we could leave this world and live in the ones I create. My perfect little worlds..."

Notes:

I hope you enjoyed this first chapter! I am very much looking forward to writing the rest of this story. I hope you will grow to love these characters as much as I do.

Also, I wonder if any other writers feel the same way I do. The concept of your stories essentially being little words you are creating.

Hey! I'm on twitter :D
