Shiketsu high was a powerhouse school who specialized in basketball. The boy’s teams and the girls make it at least to nationals every year. Many believe it to be because of their alumni. Retired pro’s as coaches would give you that sort of advantage.
When they entered the arena, the crowd rumbled and hollered. If the level of praise was any indication, you’d think that they were already pro’s. The cheering was so loud no one even noticed the home team enter.
The U.A. 's basketball team was nothing to sneeze at themselves but blatant ignorance by the crowd would be enough to kill even the highest of morale. Izuku Midoriya was the captain of the team and tried his best to get everyone fired up again. Honestly, it was a miracle his speech worked so well the first time ‘round. But hey, it’s easier to claim victory when you can’t see your opponent’s warm-ups. Normally, U.A. wouldn’t have even accepted this match, it was clear to even the most inexperienced player that this wasn’t fair.
But Izuku had been planning. Well, Izuku and his friends, Kirishima and Todoroki, but he only let them in on the plan so he’d have someone to blame if it went wrong. Hey, don’t blame him. He’s here on a scholarship he can’t very well afford to mess up and those idiots were rolling in it.
Sweat began to drip down his neck as he thought back to his talk with Kacchan earlier.
“Kacchan!” Izuku cried as the blonde proceeded to pretend not to see him sat next to her locker. “Nerd? Whaddya want now? I already told Shitty hair I want no parts of your stupid karaoke night.” She scoffed, clearly unimpressed at being bothered.
Izuku himself knew nothing of this so-called “karaoke night”. He made a point to bring it up with Kirishima later, maybe he’d have him run some suicides during practice for trying to monopolize his Kacchan’s time.
For now though, he had more pressing matters to discuss. So swallowing his pride, he said the one thing that would get the girl to listen to him.
“Kacchan.. I need your help.” It was almost hilarious the way her perfect pouty lips fell open into a gape and her lovely red eyes widened to a point of concern. Her shock was understandable, Izuku’s lack of need to crawl at her feet was one of the main reasons the two didn’t get along.
It wasn’t hard to notice Kacchan’s need for power, Izuku thought. If one only took the time to listen to the words she was constantly screaming. It could be because his mom is a psychologist but he figured it was an obvious case of narcissism. Izuku, of course, had no qualms using this to his advantage. One day he would slay the demon inside his beloved Kacchan that made her act in such a vulgar manner, she really did used to be such a sweet girl. But for now, he’d let her believe she won.
If the look on her unblemished face was anything to go by, he figured he had succeeded. For once Kacchan composed herself, her head was held higher than ever. He wanted to take a picture to show Shinsou, who swore the girl couldn’t become more arrogant. Izuku never understood why people thought they knew Kacchan better than he did, who thought they knew what was best for Kacchan more than he did, they were constantly proven wrong anyhow.
“Of course you need my help.” The girl replied haughtily, completely unaware of her slow descent into Izuku’s carefully knitted web. She’s always been bad at planning, and in turn, bad at noticing when others are planning. Izuku likes to think it adds to her charm.
However, as the boy slowly explains his plan, Kacchan’s brows begin to furrow.
Contrary to popular belief, Katsuki actually considers herself quite smart. She knows dumb Deku likes to ignore this aspect of her, in favor of keeping his creepy ditzy blonde fantasies intact. She sees the strange glint in his eyes when she’d forgo studying to shop. The longing that seems to always be there, is seemingly amplified when she acts more like feminine. Frankly, she finds this weird considering she could’ve sworn Deku liked boys. Whatever.
The point is, she knows where this is going. His plan is insane, for lack of a better word. He expects her to convince her fellow cheerleaders to set aside their pride to feed the spank banks of two whole basketball teams and an audience full of eager spectators. It would be one thing if it were to simply increase their provocativeness, she’d actually been considering bringing up the idea of playing into their sexuality a bit more, it was common in cheerleading. But the nerd wants them to literally strip, a distraction, he calls it.
Katsuki understands how important winning this game is to the team, she DOES. But she can’t justify that. Especially not when she knows principal Nedzu did not approve such a thing. She highly doubts the broccoli head even asked Midnight like he said he did. Realistically, Midnight being the cheer coach means even without Nedzu’s permission, so long as they have her’s it’s fine. The thing is Katsuki knows Midnight, she’s been around her whole life, teaching her the things her dads could not and she would never approve this. Oh yeah, and her dads. That’s a whole other issue in and of itself. It took tears and guilt trips to get them to allow her to wear makeup and they still are against any of the heavier stuff. If she even considered bringing this idea to them, she may as well be signing her own death certificate.
The most important thing to her, however, is Deku’s back up plan. She had no idea why he figured she’d be okay with placing the blame on two of her closest friends. Probably, because he’s an idiot. His reasoning for picking those two could be easily guessed, they both are pursuing Katsuki. No matter how many times the girl tries to explain to him that no Deku, she’s not interested in dating ANYONE and yes Deku, that includes you. The boy still seems to have this fixed idea in his head that she belongs to him. He’s deluded for sure but she seems to be the only one who notices it.
So she just nods her head along, agreeing easily with an air of nonchalance. She’d let Deku think he won. Despite it burning her insides, she knew if she were to flat out reject him that the boy’s back up plan may be worse. After they discussed the details and fail safes, Katsuki made her way to her Aunt Nemuri and her wife Emi.
“Hey there, pretty lady!” Ms. Joke enthusiastically greeted the blonde. They weren’t as close as she was with Nemuri but they were still pretty much bound at the hip. Constantly bonding over successful female comedians. Katsuki wasn’t the biggest fan of stand-up but powerful women was something she was always for.
“Hi, Emi. Hi, Auntie.” The girl set her bags down on the purple love seat in the teacher’s lounge. It didn’t match any of the other furniture or decorations but Joke had insisted on having it which meant Nemuri had insisted on having it. Not many people go up against Midnight and survive.
“What’s on your mind, kid?” The dark haired woman asked, always being able to sense when Katsuki needed something. It was damn creepy.
“It’s Midoriya,” She started, making her way to sit next to her Aunt. There wasn’t much room so she slung her legs on top of the woman’s, snuggling up on her side. “He’s scheming, again. This time, he wants the cheerleaders.”
With that, Katsuki set about recounting her conversation with the green haired boy. She made sure to include the obvious manipulation tactics he used as well. By the end of her tirade, Nemuri was practically fuming. One easy way to piss off a good portion of the teachers in this school, was to piss off Katsuki. She grew up with almost all of them, her dad’s only retired from the school a few months back so they still had most of their work friendships intact. They were family, automatically making the young blonde family too.
“The absolute audacity.. Okay, Katsu. What do you need us to do?”
When Katsuki entered the gym with her fathers and the principal in tow, Izuku was fucked. Not only was she fully clothed, the rest of her squad wasn’t there. Aizawa and Yamada were glaring daggers in his direction, which wasn’t new but somehow felt different. It felt as if their eyes were yelling “this is your fault”, he didn’t understand. Did the girl tell her fathers about the plan? Did she actually confirm with Nedzu? Did the rest of the squad not agree?
He glanced at Kirishima and Todoroki, maybe they knew what was going on.. Ah, nope. They were looking at him.
When he turned back in Katsuki’s direction, she was heading to the court. The adults had gone to the stands, sitting next to.. The rest of the cheer squad?
His confusion was damn near palpable at this point but he figured he’d get some answers soon. Considering Katsuki was heading straight for the court and all, but once again his hopes were dashed, stomped, and pummeled into the ground as the blinde walked right past him.. Right to Shindo Yuu, the captain of the Shiketsu team.
They exchanged a few words, and much to Izuku’s dismay, a few smiles. Then the girl was making her way to the sidelines of the opposite team. She stood next to their cheerleaders, exchanging greetings and more smiles. Sometime in this process, she had removed her sweatsuit, now she stood proud in Shiketsu High cheer outfit garnering many wolf whistles of desire and whispers of envy. The Shiketsu uniform had a shorter skirt than theirs and the top cut just a tad bit deeper leaving little to the imagination.
All of that could be ignored, though, had to be ignored. Because when they began dancing, it felt as if they were naked.
Shiketsu high was a powerhouse school who specialized in basketball. The boy’s teams and the girls make it at least to nationals every year. Many believe it to be because of their alumni. Retired pro’s as coaches would give you that sort of advantage.
Today, Izuku Midoriya learned the real reason.
Their cheerleaders.
Beyonce’s “Dance for you” blasted in the background wonderfully accentuating the rocking of their hips. The way they caress their own bodies had one’s own hands echoing the movements.
Tonight I'm gonna put my body on your body
Boy, I like it when you watch me, ah
Tonight it's going down
I'll be rockin' on my babe, rockin', rockin' on my babe
I'll be swirlin' on my babe, swirlin', swirlin' on you babe
I wanna put my body on your body
Promise not to tell nobody
'Cause it's about to go down
Suffice to say, U.A. lost.
