Summary
Sylvain remembers that day vividly. More accurate to say he can’t stop remembering. A report about marauders on the outskirts of Fraldarius territory had come on the same morning their daughter had yelled at a tutor and run off. For nearly two hours nobody could find her, but Sylvain would have believed anyone who’d told him it’d been two weeks. Maybe longer: an unending hell.
More than once he’d thought, send someone to check the well.
The nightmares about Miklan have been plaguing him with ferocity ever since.
After many peaceful years with Felix and their family, Sylvain rediscovers an old trauma.
