The forest seemed peaceful. A gentle breeze swayed the blue tree branches. Some fairies were playing hide-and-seek in blueberry bushes. A unicorn went by, grazing at the blue grass, unbothered by the two men who were sitting cross-legged in the middle of a clearing.
One of them had mismatched hair, was wearing a grey school uniform, and seemed younger than the other despite being the same height. The other had black hair, was dressed entirely in black, and had various piercings decorating his face covered in burns. They were looking at each other, their eyes determined and serious.
"Draw four." announced Dabi, placing his card on the pile while smirking.
Shouto frowned a bit. He picked four cards from the pile. On his forehead, four horns began to grow. The horns were long and thin, two of them on his left side, and two of them on his right side. Shouto ignored them.
"I change the colour." Shouto said, putting a wild card down. "To pink."
Dabi's black hair slowly turned into a pleasant cherry blossom pink.
The two men continued playing for a bit, with no other twists. After a while, Dabi looked at his phone.
"It's almost time. We should get going if we don't want to be late. Endeavour's public beheading is at 5:00."
Shouto nodded and picked the UNO cards up to put them away in his pocket. He got up and rubbed away some blue grass blades that stuck to his pants. "Right, let's go. I don't want to miss it."
They started walking in the forest, chatting amicably.
As they walked, a shadow jumped from a branch to land in front of them. The newcomer had wild blonde hair and looked mad. He also notably had wolf ears and a tail. It was Bakugou.
"Stop right there ! I control this part of the woods !" the wolf-boy declared while growling. "If you want to go through, you have to pay the toll." His tail was swinging impatiently.
Dabi just scowled at him without saying anything, but Shouto understood. He thought about what he could use to pay Bakugou, and got an idea.
Shouto reached into his jacket, and took out a picture. He gave it to Bakugou, who snatched it and started inspecting it.
It was a picture of a plate of cheese.
