Chapter Text
BAM!
Bam!
Bam, bam, bam, bom.
As their lives went, the orchestra was made of birds chirping and the wind, the noise of traffic and people on the streets, shooting cameras, the questions of kids and the coldest of breezes. But if there was a sound that was theirs, if there was a sound that united their youths, it was the sound of a ball slamming the floor.
Oh, that exhilarating sound!
It was the very same music that accompanied their very first meetings.
- October 26.
A day of joy for Suga, a win that held such euphoria and the feeling of accomplishing something, being better than the day before. Knowing the path you took, the efforts you put, all of that was worth it. This sole moment meant everything.
This sole moment meant everything.
So, now what? Time to say goodbye? No, not really… Well, actually, yeah. As Oikawa was thinking, he couldn’t help but feel the sourness. It was over. Even when not everything was over, this huge part of his life was.
Zip zap bye.
Oikawa never liked the taste of sour, his peers used to make fun of him for it, but despite his tries, he never quite got used to it. Not when eating umeboshi and definitely not now.
Losing, the feeling of being unable to reach. Knowing this was done, hearing tears falling and his teammates’ running noses. It was the end.
But not really.
They lost today, so, what about tomorrow?
Oikawa, knowing all of this, held his head high, eyes looking ahead.
Everyone in the Karasuno team had respect (at least, some form of respect) for Aoba Johsai’s setter, and as Suga was celebrating, he took a second to look at the other team.
It was then and there, when Suga saw Oikawa’s look, that he knew for sure: this person is amazing.
Then, as games pass by, wins and loses do too. As games pass by, time does too.
It’s almost too soon when the cherry blossoms start to grow again.
