Work Text:
Yuma has just made a new friend.
His name is Yusa Shoma and they dueled until the sun set.
Yuma didn't win any of the duels, but that doesn't matter. It was lots of fun.
He came very close to winning a couple of times, with Shoma having less then 500 Life Points left. But in the end he has lost all of them.
Now Yuma and Shoma are sitting on a bench.
Yuma sits there reversed. With his head where his feet are supposed to be and his feet over the back of the bench.
Shoma just sits there normal with his hands on his legs, not really knowing what to say.
Yuma's relaxed moment comes to an end when his stomach growled. The thought crosses his mind: "I missed dinner. Akari is going to kill me."
He jumps on his feet and Shoma looks at him confused. He is a bit hungry too. He didn't notice because he was busy dueling and the adrenaline distracted him.
Yuma vaguely gestures to the setting sun "Sorry, I have to go now, my older sister is probably worried because I promised to be back by dinner. And well..."
Shoma looks puzzled for a moment, then he says "I should probably go too, my sister should be back from work by now."
"You have an older sister too !?" Yuma is surprised. Finally someone who understands what it is like having an older sister.
"Yes?" Shoma replies, not understanding what Yuma means.
"What is she like?" Yuma prods.
"She is nice." Shoma replies.
"I see. Mine can be a nag sometimes. Most of the time she acts as if she is my mom since my parent are away a lot. But I guess she is nice. Don't know what I'd do without her." Yuma overshares.
Shoma is silent at that. He knows what Yuma means. He lives alone with his sister now after all, not that that was better then staying home dueling alone.
"Anyway have to go" Yuma says "see ya!"
"See ya" Shoma replies. It is nice having friends.
Yuma got lectured thoroughly by his sister when he came home.
