They both don’t remember when did this beef between them started.
Dahyun thinks maybe it was when they were in flourish and blotts the month before in their second year. When she got caught by Mina ripping a page from her favorite book. Dahyun can still remember the horror on Mina’s face.
For Mina, she thinks maybe in their second year during herbology class when she pulled Dahyun’s earmuffs which caused her to faint because of the mandrakes terrorizing screams. Dahyun was being an ass to her so she thought maybe giving her what she deserves. At the end of the day Mina apologized to her anyway but that just made Dahyun hate her more, for sure.
Way back during their first years well they still don’t know each about other’s existence but except for Dahyun, she’s a known pureblood Slytherin of course everybody knows her, everybody knows about her family.
Mina is a half-blood, a timid person, a nerd, a nobody, people only started paying attention to her when she was the reason why Ravenclaw house won the house cup during in her first year.
And it boils Dahyun’s blood that they won, Slytherin house were only a few points behind.
During their second year, Mina decided to have a self-upgrade. New school year new her that's what she thought before stepping into the Hogwarts train. She decided to be brave and modest. She is in fact the only student who’s not afraid go on Dahyun’s way whenever she’s about to do something stupid. She steps up for other students and that rose her popularity. She got her own image.
The miss perfect Myoui Mina. The one who got the beauty, brains, and bravery. Their savior (according to the lower years). Everybody wants her. But of course, Dahyun will always be there to ruin her image, Dahyun just doesn’t care who is she.
And suddenly the tension between Kim Dahyun and Myoui Mina becomes everyone’s favorite everyday cup of tea and even at each level, whether you’re a freshman or a senior.
Now that they are in their sixth year, they still got each other’s necks.
“what's up miss Myoui you got something on your face” Dahyun said as she got up from her seat. They are having a lunch at the great hall and their tables are just a few meters away from each other.
Like a reflex, Mina wiped whatever on her face right away and Dahyun just laughed.
“its ugliness” Dahyun just continued laughing with her friends as they went on their way.
Mina isn’t affected at all. “tss what a childish act” she just said while enjoying the last bits of her porridge.
When you think of Kim Dahyun many will probably think she's a troublemaker, a spoiled brat just because her family is one of the most respected people in the ministry and of course Myoui Mina’s nemesis.
But actually, Dahyun is a playful girl and a ball of sunshine if you ask for her friends to describe her. She has this soft side that not everybody knows, well maybe mostly her friends and some of the slytherin people only knows.
She might painted herself a bad image (for being a troublemaker in her early years) but as years pass by her annoying attitude keep on reducing for good. Mina calls it maturity.
Even Mina noticed that in Dahyun. She's not that annoying compared to their younger years. Maybe she's just annoying but in a playful way.
Sometimes Mina likes it when Dahyun annoys her-
“aw!” Mina softly mumbled as she look for who throw that paper to her, as expected Kim Dahyun is her number one suspect whose sitting in a table next to them.
Dahyun looks like an innocent pup listening to what their teacher says. Mina just looked away and brushed it off.
Then another paper was thrown at her. She looked at Dahyun who is now reading a book, when their eyes met Dahyun just winked at her.
Mina felt something weird in her stomach and she thinks maybe it's just her starting to get annoyed.
And then another paper was thrown at her and another and another and when she turned her head it was at the right moment when Dahyun throws the paper.
It landed to her face.
“wHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM DAH-“
“miss Kim Dahyun and Myoui Mina will you two stand up” their professor calmly said
Dahyun stood up in full confidence with a little smirk painted on her face.
“stand there at the back while facing the wall until the class is over” their professor commanded.
Mina went there first followed by Dahyun, Mina just crossed her hands and went out a sigh.
“you love being with me don’t you?”
This is not the first time they got called into the class, in fact, this kind of scenario happens at least twice a week.
“of course I don’t” Mina answered coldly, Dahyun just chuckled.
“it's okay Mina just admit it-“
“nO I DON’T! WHO WOULD WANT TO BE WITH SOMEONE WHO IS ARROGANT AND CHILDISH?!” looks like the bomb in Mina finally exploded.
Everybody caught their attention. Dahyun just glared at her and stepped a few inches away from her. Dahyun got hurt with those words but of course she won’t let herself lose.
“wow then shut up! its not like i want to be with someone who is...” Dahyun thought about it twice before saying it. “…wHO IS A HARLOT AND A USER-“
“enough you two or i’ll deduct 50 points from your houses!”
That warning shut them up.
But Dahyun’s words really went deep through Mina.
A harlot. A user.
In their fifth year, rumors about Mina sleeping with different Ravenclaws guys every night came out which baffled everyone like why would the miss perfect and elegant Myoui Mina do such things like that.
She doesn’t even have flings or exes and she’s not even interested in dating or being in a relationship at all.
That rumor slowly died down but another one was made, Myou Mina a user. Using professors to get good grades, the student and teacher disgusting relationship they were thinking.
That is a rumor that really made Mina’s blood boil but before she could even speak about it the next day, students just suddenly stopped talking about it like nothing happened. Mina wonders what miracle had happened that day but she just didn’t think about it anymore.
“I’m sorry” Mina spoke first but Dahyun just ignored her.
And they just ignored each other for the whole period.
After the class they were asked to stay. Their professor, Mrs. Park, gave them homework as a pair.
“i want you two to look for the meaning of Amortentia” Mrs. Park says as she is arranging the tools that they used earlier. “you can find about it in the library, that's all, now you two can proceed in your next class”
Mina bowed and said thank you while Dahyun just left right away. Mina followed Dahyun and walked at the same pace as her, a bit fast.
“so when are we doing-“
“im sure you can do it” Dahyun stopped in her tracks and faced Mina. “you read a lot of books and you know a lot”
Mina just creased her eyebrows. “so? this is a work for us two not just me”
Dahyun just rolled her eyes, Mina thought maybe she’s still pissed about earlier. “okay then meet me at the library after our classes” then Dahyun started walking again but Mina was left there still frozen on her spot.
“she’s the reason why we are doing this and now she has the audacity to be mad?? ugh!” Mina frustratedly sighed then started walking to their next class.

The last two subjects ended in a flash. Dahyun just behaved because she said she’s not in the mood anymore.
After the classes, Dahyun’s friends suggest they should go for a little ride with their broomstick and they all agreed. Well this is their favorite activity after class, ride their broomsticks and fly around Hogwarts.
Dahyun is having fun again and that’s what matters to her.
And she may have forgotten about the meeting she has with Mina.
It's dinner time and everyone looks like they are enjoying the dinner, especially Dahyun.
“oh hey Dahyun aren’t you forgetting something?” one of Dahyun’s close friends from the same house as her, Tzuyu, asked.
Dahyun just blinked twice. “nope.”
“oh wait aren’t you suppose to go with Mina after class and do both of y’all’s homework???!” Nayeon, also one of Dahyun’s close friends from the same house said in a worried tone.
“uhh yeah and what about it?” Dahyun just chewed on her food.
Tzuyu slammed the table. “after class was like hours ago! look it's already past 7!” Dahyun just continued chewing on her food. Tzuyu and Nayeon just looked at each other.
“Dahyun, aren’t you worried about her?” Nayeon said but Dahyun just ignored. “look she’s not even in their table and her friends are still there eating”
“well maybe she just finished ahead of us and we just didn’t notice it” Dahyun shrugged. Tzuyu let out a very long sigh.
“Dahyun, you’re not like this. I thought-“
Dahyun slammed the table with her spoon. Some of the people caught her attention and looked at her for a second.
“fine. I’m gonna go after her” then she put some bread in her pocket. “I’m still hungry you know” and drank her favorite pumpkin juice in one gulp before leaving.
She actually went first to their dormitory to check something.
Her marauders map that she got as a gift from her father during her third year.
Dahyun placed the tip of her wand then said. “I solemnly swear that I am up to no good” then all of the contents slowly appeared.
She first checked the library of course and there are Mina’s footprints going in circles.
“what is she doing? I thought the library closes after 7?”
After knowing that Mina is still there, she went there straight and hurriedly while making sure no one noticed her. Libraries and Classrooms are already off limits after 7pm as this is their time to take a rest.
Its already a bit dim as some of the lights were already off.
“alohamora” and the entrance is already locked, that’s weird so it means Mina got locked inside?. Dahyun slowly entered the library as she searches for Mina’s figure.
“Mina?” she called but no one answered. “Mina? Mina? Mina? Minaaa~~” she playfully called and a bit of a childish tone but still no ones answering.
“Mina~~ Mina-“
“shhh! they might hear us!” someone from behind Dahyun spoke.
“oh you’re there- wHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR BODY??!? WHY AM I SEEING YOUR HEAD ONLY?!?” then Dahyun pointed her wand at Mina’s while thinking of a spell that could bring her body back.
“no it's okay, I got an invisibility cloak wrapped around me” then she spins around. “see?”
“oh cool” Dahyun plainly said. But she really meant that it's cool cause it's her first time seeing something like that.
“is anyone still in here??” a voice echoed from somewhere that gave both Dahyun and Mina chills.
“quick come close to me!” Mina commanded but Dahyun seems to be deaf.
“what? no way!-“
Mina has no choice but to just forcefully hugged Dahyun so they can both hide the invisibility cloak.
Their body pressed together, they could almost feel their breaths. Dahyun doesn’t really mind about it all that she thinks right now is the fear of being caught.
But Dahyun can’t ignore the fact that Mina’s smell is intoxicating her yet it's also calming. Mina smells like lavender. Dahyun almost has her chin resting on Mina’s shoulder so she can’t help but also sniff on her hair. Smells sweet as Dahyun likes sweets.
As for Mina, she feels awkward. Their body pressed together well actually they are literally hugging each other, it makes Mina more anxious than being caught.
“oh I think it's all clear, you can let go of me now” but Mina didn’t hear it, all she can hear is her loud heartbeat. Why am I acting like this?
“hey are you deaf i said-“
“okay” Mina anxiously pushed Dahyun then she looked away. Her heartbeat is still beating like crazy.
“now its more darker than before, can we just lumos maxima here?”
“do it if you want to spend the whole night in detention Dahyun”

Dahyun just followed Mina from behind while finding the book they need. Well it's been minutes or maybe half an hour, they don’t know, no ones actually counting the time.
“oh I think this is it!” Mina exclaimed then she slowly placed it on the table. They both coughed a bit as it was so dusty.
“darn it! don’t they clean books every day here?!” Dahyun said then she started wiping the dust with her scarf which Mina doesn’t like the view of it.
“why are you wiping it with your scarf are you insane???”
Dahyun stopped and she took Mina’s scarf. “then I’ll wipe it with yours” she said then she continues wiping it. Mina took away their scarfs and put them aside.
“you can just blow it off you know?” Dahyun only gave Mina an ‘aaah’ then let her do the work.
Mina now started scanning through pages after blowing off the dust. Dahyun could only look at her while looking around, lets say she’s the guard if ever somebody caught them they both agreed on casting a freezing spell into them.
There are only silence between them except for the sound made by the pages while it's being turned. Mina stopped scanning the pages because she heard her stomach growl, Dahyun heard it too.
“you skipped dinner I know” Dahyun said then she took something out from her robe.
“yeah if only you came here earlier-“ Dahyun didn’t let Mina finish what she saying when she shoves a whole bread in her mouth.
“just shut up and eat Myoui” Dahyun said then she took the book and now she's the one looking through the pages.
For a moment Mina felt her cheeks heated up and turned pinkish so she has to look away but it's dark anyway Dahyun won't see, what a relief.
“so did you find it?” Mina asked after finishing the bread.
Dahyun shook her head. “no. I was just playing with the pages” if only Dahyun can see that Mina is giving her a deathly glare right now.
“turn to page 629” Mina said but Dahyun just looked at her.
“what? are you ordering me around?”
Mina just rolled her eyes and she just turns to that page herself. “I’ve actually already saw it earlier but then you shove me the bread so thanks for the little break”
Dahyun just nodded as if she’s interested of what’s Mina’s blabbering right now. “now go write it”
“what? are you kidding me? you want me to write the whole page? can’t we just rip it?” Mina looked at Dahyun with a ‘can you repeat what you just said’ expression, she probably had a flashback that one time they were at flourish and blotts.
“then only write the important parts?” then Mina took out her notebook and a magic pen that does not need ink anymore. It's a hot item these days for Hogwarts students to own one of these pens.
Dahyun just snatched Mina’s notebook and started writing. It hasn’t been a minute passed yet Dahyun is already done.
“that was quick what did you write?”
with a smug look on her face. “you said only write the important ones so I just write my name”
Mina swears if only this book wasn’t that heavy maybe it already touched Dahyun’s face.
“i’ll read, you write” Mina’s voice is suddenly sounded intimidating but it doesn’t frightened Dahyun a bit.
“Amortentia is the most powerful love potion in the world...” Mina makes sure to make pauses. “...it is distinctive for its mother-of-pearl sheen, and steam rises from the potion in spirals.” Mina checked if Dahyun is still following but Dahyun just hide what she’s writing like a kid.
“... Amortentia smells different to each person, according to what attracts them. there done I think those are enough.”
Dahyun closes Mina’s notebook then she gently puts her pen on it. “alright. OUR job here is done let's go-“
“who’s there?!”
They both panicked when they heard hurried footsteps coming to them and a voice. Dahyun grabbed their things on the table (well it's just their scarfs) then was about to run when Mina hugged her again under her invisibility cloak.
Just like before their body pressed together again. Mina just gave Dahyun a ‘shush sign’.
“I swear I just heard someone talking here” it was their DADA teacher, Mr. Byun Baekhyun, who’s in here. Not actually an intimidating teacher, everybody loves him cause he is charming and fun.
“I'm gonna do something” Mina whispered in Dahyun’s ears.
“what?” Dahyun whispered back.
“is someone in here? students please its almost 10-“
“petrificus totalus!” Mina chanted in a low voice l while pointing the wand to their dear professor who is now frozen on the floor.
The two slowly walked away without making a sound. Dahyun chuckled and Mina is also holding her laugh while they are walking their way out of the library.
When they’ve finally made their way out. Dahyun was the first one to go out of the cloak.
“ahh air finally!” Dahyun gave Mina’s scarf back and just hugged it along with her notebook. “here and oh bye!”
Dahyun ran after that as she saw her friends from a distance. Mina just stood there because maybe she was expecting something else?
Like, accompany her to their dorm?
Mina shook her head. “whatever Mina what are you thinking??” then started walking off to their dormitories.
why would Mina think like that.

“DAHYUN HURRY UP I’M STARVING!” Tzuyu complains as Dahyun hurriedly put on her uniform. “I think Nayeon went ahead of us, well you see she is trying to flirt with that Gryffindor Yoo Jeongyeon..” they both just huff and laughed.
“oh my the weather is really getting cold these days isn’t it?” Dahyun was about to put on her last garment when she noticed something. “bloody hell why does my scarf looks different today??”
Tzuyu’s eyes widen as she touched Dahyun’s scarf. “this isn’t a Slytherin scarf mate, this is a Ravenclaw's!” then she gave Dahyun the biggest grin she has.
“what??!! h-how??!”
Tzuyu still has the teasing grin on her face. “what do you mean what and how? you were with Mina last night right?” then proceeds to tease Dahyun again with her grin.
Stressed and Hungry, Dahyun just put the scarf in the pocket inside her robe. “well whatever I’m not just gonna wear a scarf”
“well okay then embrace the coldness of hogwarts~”

Mina’s friends are now sitting at their table enjoying breakfast and waiting for her.
“so Sooyoung how does it feels dating Jiwoo the sunshine Hufflepuff girl” Jihyo asked.
Sooyoung fixed her hair. “well it's perfect!”
Just in time for Mina’s arrival, looks like she woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
“ugh pumpkin juice.. I’d rather have orange juice” then Mina started eating. Sooyoung and Jihyo just watched her eating with a smile. Mina finds it weird. “what?”
“ohh i wonder what happened between you and Dahyun last night...” Sooyoung asked while playing with her food. “when you went back last night well uhmm you seem tired..”
Mina just stared at Sooyoung like she’s waiting for something else.
“did you perhaps did some physical activities?”
Mina sighs and took a sip from her cup. “well as expected I know you would ask that-“
Jihyo now joins the fun. “then after these physical activities, you two might get your clothes mixed up. Myoui Mina why do you have a Slytherin scarf around your neck???” Sooyoung laughs while hitting Jihyo.
Mina just creased her eyebrows then she smelled her scarf, it doesn’t smell like her. “smells like pumpkin juice...” then she took it off and there she has it, she’s now holding a Slytherin scarf, well, Dahyun’s scarf. “what?! how-“
“MINA!” someone called her in a loud voice that almost everyone heard and turned their heads into them. “how can you not see the difference between a Slytherin scarf and a Ravenclaw scarf? you got ours mixed!”
Then everybody around them started whispering to each other, this is their Dahyun and Mina tea of the day.
“oh I saw Mina earlier walking with a Slytherin scarf and I wonder if I’m seeing it wrong... wow I didn’t know it was Dahyun’s!”
“are they secretly a thing???”
“Dahyun and Mina would make a hot couple!”
“merlin’s beard I was actually pinning for them in years and now... look at them!”
“and all this time I thought Dahyun is single!”
Dahyun threw Mina’s scarf at her. “don’t worry I didn’t wear it, I don’t wanna smell your... awful smell”
Seeing Dahyun and Mina bicker like that is normal but today is just different.
Mina also threw Dahyun’s. “as if I wanna smell yours! yours smells like... pumpkin juice! and I hate pumpkin juice!”
Dahyun checked their table and look for her cup and took it. “then what do you call this??” then she drank it.
“I hope you choke in your pumpkin juice!” like what Mina said Dahyun did choke and some juice went out from her nose, oh that burns. Some saw it and just laughed at Dahyun.
“c’mon Dahyun that's enough trouble in the morning..” Nayeon grabbed Dahyun and glared at Mina before pulling Dahyun back at their table. Mina also glared back at Nayeon.
“she’ll pay for this” Dahyun said and just let herself being pulled by Nayeon at her robe.

Their first-class was potions class. Mrs. Park said yesterday that she’s going to be introducing a new potion to them which will be lead by Mina and Dahyun.
“Miss Kim Dahyun and Myoui Mina please stand here in front with me and introduce this lovely potion to the class”
Mina went there holding the notebook they used yesterday, Dahyun followed.
“well what are you two waiting for?” Mrs. Park and the class are waiting for them.
Dahyun and Mina just looked at each other. “since I did the reading and writing yesterday I want Mina to do her part and share our work to the class” Dahyun smiled at Mina who just mentally rolled her eyes.
“okay...” Mina opened her notebook and search for what Dahyun wrote there last night.
“Amortentia is the most powerful love potion-“ Mina stopped from reading.
“is there a problem miss Myoui?”
Mina took a glance from Dahyun who’s smiling ear to ear right now then shifting her look to her notebook. Mina’s guts were right she should’ve not trusted Dahyun in writing it.
Amortentia is the most powerful love potion- oops stop right there I’m not actually writing what you’re saying haha. peace ya! no actually I don’t care woohooo~ Dahyun is so awesome oh yes I love her so much that I would die for her!!
Just like nothing happened Mina just continued on explaining what an Amortentia is not minding her notes because first of all even before they got assigned to this silly assignment.
Mina knows what an Amortentia is.
“well you see this is an Amortentia the most powerful love potion. it is kind of tricky to make and it was also said that it smells different to each person according to what attracts them...”
The class just nodded and tried smelling but they are far away from the cauldron, unlike Mina and Dahyun.
“do you want to share with the class about what do you smell from here Mina?” Mrs. Park asked.
Mina stepped a little closer at the cauldron. “well mine is... the woody scent of a broomstick handle and uhh... a juice... a pumpkin juice..” then she steps back.
“how about you Dahyun?”
“well how can I smell? my nose is blocked!” then the whole class laughed, probably having flashbacks of Dahyun earlier. “I’m pretty sure mine would smell like pumpkin juice cause I love them and why would you get that smell Mina I thought you hated pumpkin juice???”
The whole class went silent. Mina just ignored Dahyun’s question. Mrs. Park just hummed.
well it looks like Dahyun didn’t understand what an Amortentia is.

The day after that everything went back to normal except there’s a “slight” change. The students still think about Dahyun and Mina being secretly a thing.
And yes Dahyun still teases Mina but she just ignores it, she just let Dahyun tease her, not like the usual where Mina will fight back.
And that went for a week, Mina just ignored Dahyun for a week. Dahyun noticed that but she just keeps on doing what she does.
“hey Myoui you got something on your back” Dahyun said when their paths crossed at the hallway.
Mina looked at her back but there was nothing. “just kidding you just wasted your energy for moving your neck” then Dahyun just continued on walking with her friends.
Dahyun and her friends are on their way to fly again since classes just ended.
“why do you keep teasing her? like even if she doesn’t give the same energy back to you?” Nayeon asked to Dahyun who’s... smiling.
“and what about it? we’re on our second to the last year in Hogwarts of course I have to enjoy every moment!” she answered enthusiastically. “I’ll miss this!”
Nayeon stopped in her tracks. Dahyun and Tzuyu had to stop too and look at her. “you mean... you’ll miss her?”
Dahyun’s smile faded. “what in merlin’s beard are you talking about? why would I miss her??” she said in an offended voice.
But why is Dahyun being defensive about it? maybe she will do miss her but she just don’t want to admit it.

Another week has passed and Mina is still ignoring Dahyun. It's two weeks and counting now.
Mina’s friends are also surprised by the sudden change of their friend.
“Mina... it's been two weeks if there’s something bothering you just tell us okay?” Sooyoung then sat on Mina’s bed.
They are in their dormitories now resting and ready to sleep.
“was this about the Amortentia-“
“how could she not notice it” Mina said then she sat on her bed from laying down.
“notice what?” Jihyo and Sooyoung just looked at each other.
Mina took a deep breath like shes getting all of the energy she needed just to say...
“I like Kim Dahyun”
Jihyo and Sooyoung doesn’t seem to be surprised. “after all these years well we’re not actually surprised” then Jihyo joined them at Mina’s bed.
“we’re not just your best friends for nothing duh! we see the way you look at her sometimes and the way you secretly blush and smile whenever Dahyun tease you!”
Mina can’t help but smile, she feels like she’s going crazy now. “am I that... obvious??”
Jihyo raised her hand. “well except for Dahyun” Sooyoung and Jihyo both laughed at that, Mina just rolled her eyes and has the urge to push her two best friends off her bed.
“so what are your plans?”

Another day for Dahyun to tease Mina. and another day for Mina to pretend.
Its their DADA class and they are still waiting for their professor to arrive. It's been 10 minutes now and professor Byun is still not here.
Dahyun made a paper plane and throw it over to Mina. “pssst! Mina!” Mina faced Dahyun who's sitting 3 tables away from her and right when she faced Dahyun the plane landed on her nose.
“will you stop it!” Dahyun stopped laughing when she heard Mina talk.
“ohhh you have a mouth? these days I feel like you don’t have it-“
“just stop it or I’ll have to say something you won’t like...” the whole class was silenced like they were waiting for Mina to say what she wants to say.
There was a smirk on Dahyun’s face. “say what Mina??” Mina just sat on her seat again and ignored Dahyun. “i said, sAY WHAT-“
“okay class hello im here go back to your seats now”
Like polite students, everybody turned their attention to the class now quickly forgetting what they just happened a minute ago.
Then there’s Dahyun who just thought of Mina the whole class.

Another week has passed and another week of Mina ignoring Dahyun.
This is her plan. To ignore her until these feelings for her slowly disappear, it seems like a cowardly move but Mina just doesn’t know what to do with it.
“why are you ignoring me?”
It was their lunch time when Dahyun decided to join Mina and her friends in their table.
“what are you doing here? you can’t sit here!” Mina said to Dahyun who’s sitting beside her.
Dahyun moved closer to her, the uncomfortable Mina just looks away trying to be careful because her heart might start beating like crazy again.
“answer my question first Mina.” then Dahyun held her shoulder and stared into her like she’s a painting that is worth the stare.
Mina’s heart started racing.
“why? does it hurt your pride?” Mina finally has the guts to fight with a staring contest with Dahyun. “and so? why does it matter to you?”
Dahyun’s mind suddenly went blank when Mina asked that question.
Why does it matter to Dahyun? or does it really matter to Dahyun?
“just tell me Mina, why? its just a simple question and all I need is a simple answer!”
what is Dahyun trying to make me say?
“huh??”
Dahyun’s is running out of patience. “don’t just huh me! just tell me your answer-“
“what if I just don’t want to be around you? I don’t want to see your face or hear your voice and lastly, I don’t want to talk to you!”
People who heard them looked at them and that started some small whispers.
“are they fighting??”
“please no don’t break up yet!”
“wow is Dahyun really just gonna sit there and do nothing?? That's new...”
Mina’s words feel like a sword just went through Dahyun’s body, a lot of times. And Dahyun would be lying if she wouldn’t admit that…
… it kind of hurt
“yes that's it! that's the answer I like finally!” Dahyun stood up then she started clapping, not to mention that she’s grabbing attention because of that, and to Mina’s peripheral view Dahyun’s friends are already approaching her.
“well I hate you too Myoui Mina.” then she turned her back from her.
Before one of her friends, maybe its the one named Nayeon, drags her first again, Dahyun already left on her own and also forgetting that Nayeon and Tzuyu followed her.
“you’ll regret about what you did Mina” Nayeon said then rolled her eyes at her and they left.
That WAS a SCENE. Even Jihyo and Sooyoung can’t believe what they just witnessed. It's like a live drama just happened in front of her.
“wow did you just made Dahyun upset with you???” it was Sooyoung then she moved a little closer to Mina. “a.k.a...your crush?” then she said almost like a whisper.
“yes and I think... it was a bad move”

It was indeed a bad move.
But nothing has really changed, well, actually just a small one.
Dahyun still teases Mina whenever she wants but the light on Dahyun’s face is gone. It's like she’s doing it on purpose and not being playful anymore.
One time this week Dahyun intentionally bumped Mina while they were on the way to their next class. All the things that Mina were holding fell from her hands even though her grip was tight.
“what's your problem Kim Dahyun??!!!” the irritated Mina asked.
“you.” Dahyun plainly answered. Her voice was intimidating and her eyes were serious. “you’re my problem”
If Jihyo didn’t snap her fingers, Mina wouldn’t know that it's been a minute since she has spaced out.
Why is Dahyun treating her cold bothering her now?

It was their vacant time and they decided to spend it in the library.
“its been days Mina don’t you feel uneasy about it or bothered?” Sooyoung said as she slammed whatever book she got on the table.
“about who?”
This time it was Jihyo who slammed the table. “Dahyun??? and uhmm her brewing romance with her best friend Im Nayeon???”
The day after that “day”, Mina finds it weird how Dahyun suddenly went lovey-dovey with her best friend Nayeon. She’s clingy everywhere with her and that’s just odd.
Dahyun isn’t like that, she doesn’t remember Dahyun being like that to her best friends. Dahyun would rather hug a toad than kiss her best friend’s cheeks randomly everywhere. And if ever Dahyun did change then why is she only acting like that to Nayeon and not Tzuyu?
And this thing has been going on for a week.
“don’t you think she got... bewitched???!” Sooyoung said and acted like she’s shocked. Mina doesn’t want to think about it that way.
“If Dahyun is really bewitched then actually there’s a way how to undo that curse and only Mina can do it...”
Mina ran her fingers through her hair and looked at Jihyo with a confused face. “huh? why me?”
“to undo this curse one must kiss the victim with the person she or he despises the most...”
That moment Mina swore she wishes to unhear what Jihyo just said. Sooyoung who’s sitting beside Mina tries her best to not laugh.
“but why me? it's not like I’m the only person she despises the most in this world!” Mina crossed her arms then looked away trying to be chill cause the thought of kissing her crush is making her blush.
Mina is red as a tomato right now but she slapped herself so it won’t be that obvious.
“c’mon Mina its not like she will remember that you’ve kissed her” Sooyoung added and received a high five from Jihyo. “yeah it's weird and sad for you cause she’s definitely going to forget it”
Right now Mina’s mind is a mess thinking if she’d really do it, but why would she do it? she doesn’t want to look like she’s taking advantage of her crush like earning a free kiss?
“oh i’d like to help” then someone joined them at their table. “that’s a brilliant idea I like it, I will surely help count me in!”
The three just looked at each other thinking where in the world did she came from.
It was Dahyun’s other best friend Tzuyu.
The next day they proceed with their plan. It was their lunchtime.
Dahyun and Nayeon were there at their usual spot except Dahyun were actually babying Nayeon, what an awful sight (for Mina).
Then they’ve finally arrived there circling them. A confused Nayeon, and Dahyun who even greeted Mina with a smile, yes something is definitely off.
“oh? what’s the occasion? why are they here Tzuyu-“
“step aside Nayeon” then Tzuyu blocked Nayeon, covering her for she might come to Dahyun.
“wait what is happening??” Jihyo even slightly gets a hold of Nayeon too. “what is this???”
Mina helped Dahyun stand up while Sooyoung is on their side just in case Nayeon might do something at least there's another cover for them.
“oh hey Mina! do you want to talk about something??” it feels like Mina is facing a different Dahyun and it's weird but at the same time, she wished Dahyun was this friendly but also thanked that she is not.
For she might fall more for her.
The effect of a love potion is insane. It just doesn’t make the person fell in love with who give it to them but it also changes the way how a person acts.
“a-actually I have something to tell you...”
There are already a few students eyeing them and it made Mina uneasy. But she has to do it, there's no backing out now.
“what is Mina trying to do???” Nayeon asked but Tzuyu just ‘shush’ her as a reply.
“Dahyun I’m sorry...”
Dahyun’s eyebrows furrowed. “sorry for what-“
Then Mina grabbed Dahyun’s cheeks and crashed her lips into hers. The people around them suddenly went ‘oohhhhh’ and some are cheering loudly but she just didn’t mind it.
Mina was about to let go of the kiss when Dahyun responded to her kiss. Mina’s eyes widen but she just closed them right after and enjoyed the moment.
Everything is just perfect at the moment.
Their kiss lasted for minutes and they stopped when Mina let go of the kiss to catch her breathe.
“i like you Kim Dahyun” Mina said right after their kiss then she ran away leaving Dahyun there and her friends with a shock.
Her short fairytale moment is finally over.
“w-what just happened why was Mina so close to my face???!!?” and the old Dahyun is back. She looked at everyone who obviously saw what just happened but then just turned their heads like nothing just happened. “someone care to tell me?!” then Dahyun turns her head to her friends
“bloody hell... I didn’t expect that it would work...” Jihyo’s hand was shaking and she looks like she’s going to cry but happy at the same time.
“what work??!” Dahyun asked in a bit irritated tone. “hey! Nayeon and Tzuyu what just happened why can’t I remember anything?!?”
“wow so you’re back to your normal self now? finally!” Tzuyu, Jihyo and Sooyoung turn their heads to Nayeon.
“what do you mean? didn’t you give her a love potion or something?? thats why she’s acting that weird to you??” Tzuyu’s question made Nayeon like she wants to throw up.
“what?!?? yuck I would never!!”
Meanwhile, Jihyo and Sooyoung already excused their selves and follow to where Mina went as Jihyo said she has good news for Mina.
“hey hey hey! what good news tell me first” Sooyoung stopped Jihyo who’s dragging her.
Jihyo looks like she’s the happiest right now and earlier she almost cried, what’s wrong with her? Sooyoung wonders.
“that bitch I’m so happy for her!” Jihyo said while she’s jumping. Sooyoung is starting to think maybe the cursed switched to Jihyo.
“to undo this curse one must kiss the victim with the person she or he loves the most...” Jihyo said and it just made Sooyoung more confused as ever, she swore she wants to burry Jihyo right now because she's killing her excitement.
Then Sooyoung finally understands it. “wait I thought it's the person she or he despises the most...” Jihyo gave her a meaningful look. “oh my god! so you mean...”
Jihyo just nodded as she waited for what Sooyoung is about to say.
“... KIM DAHYUN IS IN LOVE WITH MYOUI MINA???!??!”
And they both screamed like fangirls who just got the front row seats for their favorite quidditch team.
Time went by that fast and it's already their last subject of the day. Defense against the Dark Arts.
Jihyo and Sooyoung just decided to tell it to Mina after class.
Mina, who was just silent the whole time because her heart is still beating like crazy just by the thought of that kiss earlier.
“you okay? you don’t look well?” Jihyo asked who’s just sitting beside her and Mina only nodded as an answer.
Someone threw a paper at Mina’s back. She just ignored it as it is the person she expects.
Then another paper was thrown at her. And then another.
“why won’t she look at me” then Dahyun throw another paper.
“yeah I'm getting worried at my paper too” Tzuyu who was sitting beside her, was the source of Dahyun’s paper. “why don’t you just throw your book for sure she’ll notice you” Dahyun just rolled her eyes and just continued on what she’s doing.
Dahyun just keep on throwing crumpled papers at Mina but she won't look back.
“here try this and throw it a little bit hard...” then Tzuyu gave Dahyun a slightly big crumpled paper.
Dahyun did throw it a little bit hard.
“aw!” Mina’s aw was a bit loud then she stood up and looked at Dahyun. “what's your problem this time huh??!!”
Dahyun slowly stood up too but there’s a smile plastered on her face, Mina doesn’t know if Dahyun is just teasing her.
“well I have something to say to you and you have to know it...” the “teasing” smile is still painted on Dahyun’s face. Mina just clenched her fists probably waiting for Dahyun is say some insults for her again, again as always.
“Kim Dahyun sit down as we still have a class going on can you see just say that after class-“
“sir wait this is really important!” the whole classroom went ‘oohhh’ as Dahyun just made a professor shut up.
“Dahyun im warning you-“
“MINA I LIKE YOU TOO!”
There was a little silence and then suddenly the whole class was cheering. Even their professor cheered too.
And Mina she can’t believe that this is happening right now, she thought she was only daydreaming but when Jihyo struck her with a book that's where she realized it's all real.
“okay class enough and Dahyun detention after class.” Dahyun only left out a chuckle. “anyway back to our class~”
Before Mina takes a seat she glanced at Dahyun one more time and the latter just gave her a wink.
“oh my god Jihyo tell me this is not a dream!” Mina asked as she shoved her face in her book.
“no bitch this is real life and congratulations to you!”
After the class Dahyun immediately approached Mina forgetting that she still has detention but the teacher just let her go.
“so you’re going to ignore me again after my confession?” Dahyun blocked Mina’s way.
“a-ah Mina see you later bye” Mina’s friends excused themselves then give Mina a grin.
“yeah same for us Dahyun” Dahyun’s friends also excused themselves and slapped Dahyun’s butt.
Mina faced Dahyun who’s now smiling and at this moment Mina swore she’s melting inside. Also the space between them is slowly getting small as Dahyun kept on moving to Mina.
“well I was about to~”
“aww are you rejecting me in advance...” Dahyun said with a pout. “oh wait weren't you the first one who confessed!”
Mina only hit Dahyun with a book. Dahyun just laughed which is a melody to Mina’s ears.
“since when did you like me?”
“since lunch-“
And Mina hit Dahyun with a book one more time then started walking. Dahyun thought Mina was just joking but her face is serious.
“so you just like me because I told you I like you? what a playgirl!” Mina is mad and Dahyun can tell it as someone who knows to make her mad.
Oh Dahyun is having fun with this.
“wow so you’re mad at me now???” Mina only give her a glare then she started walking away from her again. “sure go away i dont care!”
Dahyun watched Mina walked away.
Then she followed her and ran and stopped in front of her. Perhaps she can’t resist Mina now.
“okay fine I like you since we were in the second year...” Dahyun shyly said. Mina was flustered but she is just looking at Dahyun’s eyes who is avoiding hers right now. “that day where you put a mandrake close to my ears and I fainted? I swear that time you were just... cool... and your face was the last thing I saw before O fainted”
“mandrakes or mandragora is a magical sentient plant who looks like a human...”
While their teacher was explaining the plant in front of them Dahyun was busy hiding Mina’s earmuffs.
What a childish thing to do.
“... this is still a young mandrake so make sure to wear your earmuffs or you wish to collapse by hearing its screams”
Everyone already has their earmuffs except for Mina who is still finding hers, then her eyes landed on Dahyun. She already has an earmuff and another unused one around her neck.
“Dahyun give me that”
The latter only looked at her. “I can't hear you I’m sorry?”
It's starting to annoy Mina. “c’mon give it to me I know that’s mine I saw you getting it in front of me!”
“but does it have your name on it?” Dahyun took the earmuffs from her neck and checked it. “see? none!” Dahyun and her friends just laughed.
“Dahyun give it to her or I’ll deduct points from your house” Dahyun just sighed, she knows she has no choice whenever her professor says that.
“fine whatever.”
Mina was ready to receive the earmuffs but was shocked to what Dahyun did next to her. Dahyun put the earmuffs for her.
“okay all together, pull up!” then they all detach the mandrake from the soil. Their professor was teaching them how to repot a mandrake.
“look Myoui look Hahahahaha” then Dahyun shove the mandrake close to Mina’s face which made her scream in fright, Dahyun was enjoying what she’s doing at the moment.
But Mina did a bold move that Dahyun didn’t see it coming, she removed Dahyun’s earmuffs.
Not any seconds has passed, Dahyun was already on the ground, fainted. Mina clearly didn’t want that to happen, actually, she was planning to put back Dahyun’s earmuffs too but she was already in the ground.
Mina doesn’t know what to feel at that time whether to celebrate or feel guilt. But she can clearly remember how she was punished to clean the whole garden after class.
“I remember that day, wow, and you deserve it by the way” and Mina started walking again, Dahyun just followed her.
“what that’s it? you’re not telling me yours like when did you start liking me??” Mina just ignored Dahyun and walked like she didn’t exist. “hey c’mon Mina don’t be unfair-“
Dahyun was caught off guard when Mina stole a kiss from her on the lips. It was quick but it surely did make Dahyun’s heart jumped out of her.
“w-what was that Mina?? you can’t just do that out of nowhere!!” Dahyun exclaimed while hiding her reddened face.
“why not? I’m your girlfriend now aren’t I??” and that just added the red on Dahyun’s face.
So this is how they start their relationship.

It's been a month since they started dating. And of course, a lot has changed, Dahyun showed her new side that shocked everyone.
The ball of sunshine Kim Dahyun. Her old troublemaker self was slowly splashed away by her new self and it was a good thing.
Dahyun changed and her friends are the proudest with what they called this “Dahyun character development”.
However, dating Dahyun is quite frustrating a lot of times. Yes, Dahyun still loves to tease Mina a lot but in a playful way, and of course, Dahyun still has a lot of admirers even though they know she’s already taken.
And it even increased more right after they announced they were dating.
Maybe Dahyun’s new side made them fall for her even more.

“hey are you okay?” Dahyun snapped her fingers, she’s sitting beside her in the library.
“yeah I’m fine” Mina is lying, she actually wants to bury someone alive. It's been minutes since she noticed how this girl who’s two tables away from them was staring at Dahyun like she’s a meal? of course it angered Mina!
“wait right here honey I'm going to take care of something,” Mina said then she planted a soft kiss on Dahyun’s forehead and went to that girl’s table.
Mina slammed a book on that girl’s table, it was really loud that almost everyone in the library turns their heads to them.
Except for Dahyun who’s still busy figuring out how did Mina made that paper crane earlier so she’s studying and copying every fold.
“please stop staring at my girlfriend” Mina said with full of authority. “can’t you see she’s already taken?! and yes! by me! cause she’s my girlfriend!”
The girl was confused. “your girlfriend? who?? you mean that cute girl beside you earlier? oohhhh!”
“Minatozaki Sana just be flirty with everyone else here I don’t care! as long as it's not my girlfriend it's fine! I’m fine!”
Mina was about to leave when Sana said something made her blood boils more. “then I’m going to ask politely if I can just stare and admire your girlfriend-“

“Minaaaa~ look i finally did it!” Dahyun said while doing the paper crane she just made.
From Mina who wants to strike Sana with a book to Mina who’s giving Dahyun a pat on her head.
“awww that's great babe! now let's get out of this place before I murder someone”
Dahyun actually knows how Mina gets jealous easily and is possessive. She even teases her about it sometimes but at the end of course she knows how to repay Mina with her teases.
Dating Myoui Mina is fun and hard. It's fun because Dahyun gets to introduce Mina new things that she hasn’t done before like when Dahyun introduces to her about her marauders map.
And its hard because just like her, Mina also still has a lot of admirers trying to pursue her but luckily it stopped one day when Dahyun sent her co-Slytherin house mate to the infirmary because she thought she was trying to hit on Mina when it’s actually her friend Jihyo.
Dahyun has a more intimidating appearance in public compared to Mina. But if it's just the two of them, Dahyun is more scared of Mina like she’s the boss of their relationship.
Just one glare from Mina and she's already on her knees asking for forgiveness. Actually, the truth is Dahyun can’t just take it when Mina is mad at her.
They are just so soft for each other. Its like they went from having to get each other’s necks to giving each other’s neck a-
“Mina why do you have Dahyun’s scarf?? you already got two scarfs on your neck” Jihyo asked Mina who’s now silently eating her meal.
“w-well uhhmm-“
“Jihyo, Mina slept at Dahyun’s dorm last night, oh didn’t you know? she just entered our dorm early this morning~”
Jihyo covered her mouth at what Sooyoung just told her. “bitch... really??”
Sooyoung and Jihyo just teased the now flustered Mina who’s hiding her face under the scarf.
After class, they both agreed to meet at the lake below the whomping willow tree, it's their favorite spot where they spend most of their time alone together.
“wow you’re really enjoying it when my scarf gets wraps around your neck” Dahyun said as she slowly lays down on the ground.
“of course and I love your scent” Mina joins her too. “you smell like pumpkin juice”
Rather than being annoyed Dahyun just took it as a compliment since she loves pumpkin juice anyway.
It was peaceful, both of them were just silently laying on the ground while in each others embrace and talking about how Mina is excited to show Dahyun her world.
She tells Dahyun how excited she is to go on a date with her in all of the beautiful places she knows on her world.
The world where she grew up, the muggle world. Mina is a half-blood by the way, her mom’s a pureblood and her father is a muggle-born.
Even though Mina’s not that really well off in this world, well her father is effing rich in the muggle world. Her father is the owner of one of the most leading hospitals in her world.
If she’s to choose between living in this world or in the muggle world, she’s fine wherever. And now that Dahyun is a part of her life, she’s fine wherever with her.
“do you want to know when did I start liking you?”
Dahyun slightly lifts her head just to look at Mina. “sure okay! I’ve waited long enough for this day to come! thought you’d never say it...”
“it was a month before the start of our second year and of course we need to buy stuff for our school in Diagon alley...” Mina was playing with Dahyun’s nose, drawing circles as she speaks. “... and to be exact I was in flourish and boots then you were also there... at the near entrance standing reading my favorite book...”
“oh and I ripped a page on that book didn’t I—“
“shhh don’t interrupt yet!” Mina shut Dahyun’s mouth by putting her palm. “as I was saying, you were reading my favorite book and... you just look so attractive just by standing there... then I suddenly had a little crush...”
Another academic year is approaching and students are busy buying their supplies in Diagon alley.
Mina came to buy school supplies with her mom and they are now on their last stop. The books in flourish and blotts.
The scent of books and papers are Mina’s favorite. It's not a secret that she loves reading every book that her eyes have laid upon.
“okay just go around this place Mina and I’ll order your books” then her mom left her there and also given her time to check this place.
Everything is just perfect. Perhaps flourish and blotts is now one of her favorite places in the world.
Then in the corner near the entrance, someone attractive caught her eye.
That pointy nose, a godly side profile, and she’s just standing there and reading but why does she look perfect already?
Mina knows that she’s been staring too much until she realized she knows who is she.
Its the famous Kim Dahyun. Same year as her. Everybody knows her and is afraid to go on her way cause she will do everything just to bring you down so don’t you dare miss with the Kim Dahyun.
But she doesn’t care about who Dahyun is, all she cares right now is that she just developed a crush and Dahyun is reading her favorite book.
“how pathetic...”
Mina was about to approach Dahyun when she heard a ripping sound, it was from the book.
“AAAAAHHHHHH!” like a reflex, Mina just screamed for what she just witnessed.
Dahyun also got startled with that scream. “oh its Myoui Mina!”
Mina’s heart jumped out of her when Dahyun called her name, she knows my name. The book is now Mina's second concern.
“w-why would you do that??!!” Mina was stuttering. “that’s my favorite book you know?!” Mina didn’t know why she just shared that kind of information.
Dahyun just gave her a grin. “my bad Mina I guess I just ruined your favorite book” then Dahyun started walking away and left the book on the shelf.
“you know what Dahyun?! you’re...” Dahyun looked at Mina as she was about to say something.
“you’re gorgeous ”
“you’re the worst!”
Dahyun just laughed at her then she sticks her tongue out then ran out of the store.
After making sure Dahyun is now gone and away.
Mina jumped like a little kid while squealing and feeling the beat of her heart going crazy.
“wow you fell for me just like that?” Dahyun changed her position, using her hands to support her head just to look at Mina but still laying on the ground.
“so? and what about it? besides we all have our ways of falling in love~” Mina said as she traces Dahyun’s bottom lip. “mine happened because thankfully you exist”
“ohhh so if I don’t exist then you won’t fall in love with anyone else in your life?” Mina chuckled heartedly with Dahyun’s remark.
“maybe... or maybe I don’t exist too you know? because I’m 100% sure that the universe wouldn’t let you exist without your other half... which is me!” they both fell into a staring contest and their close proximity is making things hotter between them.
“of course they wouldn’t” Dahyun smiled. “I’m 100% sure too that I would still love you in whatever universe we exist” then Dahyun closed the gap between her by pressing their lips together.
It was a passionate kiss, both are following each other’s pace. They just kissed and kissed and kissed until they need to stop to get some air.
“you know how did I fell in love with you?” after catching their breath Dahyun asked a question.
“okay tell me pumpkin juice” Dahyun just shuddered at the endearment.
“mine happened with just one smile of yours”
Mina just smiled with Dahyun’s cheesy remark.
“I love you Dahyun” Mina said as she bring herself closer to Dahyun.
“i love you too Mina” then Dahyun closed her eyes while enjoying Mina’s embrace.
“more than pumpkin juice?”
“uhmm wait let me think about that..” that made Mina to playfully hit Dahyun.
“well of course Mina, I love you more than any of the pumpkin juice combined in the whole world”
