He found his gaze drifting to the sofa, where his friends were gathered, talking with the kind of bright, useless excitement that only comes from feeling young and invincible. They were laughing about all the things they could do with the mini version of their best friend, their voices overlapping in warm, familiar chaos.
Beside him, Lily muttered something about how ridiculous the boys were, though the fondness in her voice softened every word. She cradled her hot chocolate between her hands, took another slow sip, and continued her quiet conversation with Mary about the latest Muggle news.
Marlene was away—reporting some mission the Order sent her off.
And he... he wasn't sure if he should be there. Not only because of what he has done, but because being here ached. Not in any way he could point to, but in that old, familiar way his heart had learned to endure.
Would memories like these haunt him or would he be able to forget them?
...
The latter would have been a blessing.
He has never been blessed.

The moon is always there, watching, waiting, existing in halves. It never burns, never demands, only reflects—just enough light to be noticed, but never enough to be fully understood. But they do not ask what it feels like to be only half-seen, half-known. They do not wonder if the moon longs to be more than just a reflection. Summary
Despite having operated in Gotham for three years, Crow is a mystery to everyone. Tiny, silent, emotionless, and seemingly omnipresent, he seems to be inescapable for the criminals of Gotham. Even more terrifying, no one knows who he is: not Batman, not Oracle, and certainly not the Red Hood.
That doesn't stop others from growing attached, however, and every vigilante in Gotham wants what's best for Crow. Too bad none of them agree on what that is.

“What are you doing here, kid?” Oh. He’s early.
“Hi, Eraserhead.” Shouto greets. Naturally just his knowledge of the underground hero’s name raises suspicion. He knows a lot of other things too.
It’s not safe up on the rooftops. Go home. Shouto recites in his head.
“It’s not safe up on the rooftops. Go home.” Eraserhead says. He worries, every time. Shouto has learnt to sit down before he gets there, so that he doesn’t look like he’s about to jump. But a kid sitting alone on a rooftop still isn’t normal. Not that Shouto ever was.

Shouto makes a deal with the devil, to escape from the future his father had mapped out for him. It doesn’t take long for him to realise that being forgotten by everyone is not a blessing, but a curse.
