Summary:

The dust has settled. Mankind is victorious.

Styria has fallen to a human ruler. Europe's other vampire kingdoms lay decapitated, ready for the vultures.

The vengeful, the faithful, the hateful; they circle overhead.

Me? I sit in a cage of gold and cinder, suffering in safety.

A monster, some say. Destined to take and take until it is staked.

How sweet and simple it would be to walk into the sun and escape the misery for good.

But how selfish it would be as well. No... I cannot. There are others. They count on me.

I must endure... I must find a future for my kind.

Some way. Any way. Please, let there be a way.
