Asta clenches his hands around the money to stop himself from feeling like hitting him, all of the night suddenly turning sour with that one word. He’d even thought of it himself earlier, but to hear it so boldly said to his face… Dante turns and walks away, exiting the apartment without another word, giving him a short wave and kiss over his shoulder.
Whore. It’s the bitter truth.
He feels so pathetic, but he holds onto the money and tries to think about how happy Sister Lily and the others will be instead of Dante and the way he feels so dirty.
