   Gwyn stumbled and the flashing pain and betrayal in her face made Azriel suck in several breaths in regret.

And those adoring eyes didn't seem to look at him in admiration anymore instead it was filled with blatant hatred, "Don't". One word. Never had Azriel ever been cut down with just one word. Then she ran away from him. And the pain that rumbled in his chest intensified but he didn't shout for her. He didn't stop her. He didn't run behind her. He didn't do anything.
