   Summary

   Originally a one-chapter story titled “5:53pm” now expanded upon request.

   After the war, Sarah has been able to marry her now-husband, James “Bucky” Barnes, and they have been living comfortably and happy for three years. But today, Sarah’s parents are visiting after not seeing each other for five years, wishing to introduce them to her new life, but things don’t turn out as planned.

   It’s the 40s and Sarah has never mentioned whom she married (it kept secret upon mutual uncertainty) nor her expectance. But now with them at the doorstep, the secrets have no choice but to come to light.

   It’s easier for secrets to be revealed when everyone has something to hide, sometimes things that can damage families.

   (And more disaster ensues when the Barnes show up for a visit.)
