Summary
Takes place sometime after “Tuvix” and before Kes leaves the ship.
Kathryn and Chakotay beam back from an away mission and find themselves “merged.” Tom and the Doctor try to work with the newly-discovered Caryakal people to find a way to reverse the condition. But the Caryakal might not be as friendly as they seem, and the cure is elusive. Tuvok and Kes use a mind meld to put the captain and her first officer into a shared “psychospace” in the hope that if they go somewhere together where they both felt happy, they can sort out some of what is causing their joined mind so much pain…
Canon compliant…but the rest of the series is not. :)
