Summary:
Farrin Graydim has lived a difficult life before coming to Verglas. Kidnapped, enslaved, mistreated, oppressed, and exploited, Farrin has spent his life being told that his worth is his sword.
When he falls in love with and swears fealty to Princess Rakel of Verglas, his world changes and suddenly he finds himself loved, admired, and respected. But he knows that he is not worthy of the newfound regard. He knows that, one day, his past will catch up with him.

This work is canon compliant up to the information revealed at SheaCon 2022. :)
Notes:
I wrote this work to be as clean as K.M. Shea's works--with nothing that would be offensive to read including curse words, descriptions of sex, or inordinate descriptions of violence.
I included the tag "implied sex" because Farrin and Rakel get married during this book and of course, there will be times that they will want to spend the night together, but I do not get specific.
Implied abuse and implied cruelty refer to when Farrin recalls something that happened to him in Sarthe, though, again, I do not get very specific. (I put a warning as the author’s note at the beginning of the chapter where Farrin talks about his past.)
I hope you can enjoy this continuation of Farrin and Rakel's love story as much as I have enjoyed writing it.~AslansGirl13
