Work Text:

- prologue -

The hallways are empty and dark. It’s night, so nothing weird about that. Jimin stumbles around a corner, squinting against the all-consuming grey. Taehyung has really horrible ideas sometimes. Like today. They had been drinking in his dorm rooms he shared with Jungkook, all six of them packed close together, until he voiced his urge to play hide-and-seek.

Hide-and-seek is not exactly something Jimin has played often, least of all in recent years, which is not the problem. The problem is that Taehyung insisted they play in the ominous tall Victorian art building of their college. And as drunk as they all are, nobody had protested.

And now Jimin is trapsing down a corridor, looking for a place where Namjoon won’t find him. He’s been the unlucky one who would to the seek-part of the game. Jimin is short of just leaving the building, but he honestly has no idea where he is. As a dance major he’s only been to this particular building one time, a year ago when Taehyung had his double-major-is-a-great-idea phase. It isn’t. Unless you’re Namjoon. Jimin had never seen the buildings’ inside again.

So Jimin is lost somewhere with too many stairs and corners and weird art sculptures. Jimin wouldn’t call himself an expert, but he is sure these human sized forms have no business looking that creepy, even at night. He rounds the next corner, his hand propped against the wall. He shouldn’t have shared that last soju-bottle with Seokjin on the way here.

Suddenly there is light before him, and he flinches. An open door in the middle of the next corridor illuminates a creepy picture of a naked cacti-adjacent woman in a desert to his right. Jimin leaves the wall behind and walks up to the light. That should be one of his friends, no one else is here on Saturday night. But they should be hiding. Or maybe it is Namjoon? Well, Jimin isn’t picky right now, he honestly wants to go home and sleep until midday to ignore the headache he caused himself. Namjoon can find him first for all he cares.

There aren’t any noises from the room. The closer Jimin gets, the more his eyes get used to the light. He knows he’s being very quiet himself. Although he doesn’t really plan to surprise the one in the room, he wouldn’t say no to it. Maybe scaring one of them too much would lead to an end of this game. It feels like Jimin has wandered these hallways for hours and soon he’ll turn into the new art building ghost, haunting students on exam day. He hopes it’s Hoseok or Seokjin, both somewhat skittish. They would definitely not enjoy a jump-scare, and call this whole thing off. Anyone but Jungkook, with his recent boxing addiction he’d probably punch Jimin right in the face.

He finally reaches the door to look in a room cluttered with canvases and paint and brushes. The still-white, virginal canvases clash with the colored ones in a beautiful chaos. Totally reasonable for the art building. But in the middle of all that is a boy. Who is not one of Jimins friends.

He’s sitting there, showing his profile to Jimin, leaning over a canvas filled with deep blue. Fixated on his work, headphones on, brush in hand. Jimin holds his breath unconsciously, watching him hesitate before slowly moving the brush over his ocean-canvas.

Jimin can only stare. Because damn, that is one cute face. One overall cute boy, to be honest. He’s wearing a too big hoodie and too big cargo pants, both once upon a time bought in black but covered in paint splashes now. Typical art major. It all makes him look small, the huge clothes and canvas.

And additional to that, his face? Small and delicate features, a button nose but slanted cat-eyes laser focused on his work. He is pouting with pink, small lips. Probably a freshman. Jimin wants to wrap him up in blankets and cuddle him on his couch, maybe feed him some chocolate covered strawberries, stroke his soft black hair, be the one this boy kisses hello every morning. He’d never felt like this about anyone before. Jimin wants to put him in his pocket and take him home. Really bad.

Jimin forgets all about hide-and-seek or about going to bed. His friends will have to amuse themselves without him. Jimin has more important business to attend to. He steps into the room, ready to flirt the hell out of this boy.

- part one -

Taehyung watches his best friend arrive too late for movie night in disdain. Something is up. Something Jimin is definitely not telling him, although he should. Not only because they are best friends and know all of each other’s secrets, but also because Jimin knows Taehyung is a very curious person and has to know. This is blatant betrayal.

Which ergo means Jimin has a secret he isn’t even telling him. Nobody in their friend group would know if Taehyung himself has no idea. This is serious. He needs to find out. Taehyung keeps watching Jimin as he greets everyone with a hug as usual, then plops down on the couch between Jungkook and Hoseok. Also nothing weird about that.

He is dressed normally in his ripped jeans and one of his nicer sweaters. He seems really happy, grinning to himself without even looking at the tv. That could be a clue, but most of the time Jimin is just happy. It could mean something unusually good happened though.

The night goes by uneventful, (does Jungkook throwing a carrot at Seokjin count as an event?), and Taehyung can’t detect anything else off about Jimin. But his best friend has never been late to movie night before, had even been the one to initiate the tradition. Taehyung will have to watch him closely.

The following month, Taehyung collects evidence against Jimin. He is a detective, a researcher, an psychologist. Later, when all fool-proof evidence is collected, he’ll kidnap Jimin and confront him, to get the missing information. The kidnapping part isn’t really planned out yet, only that he’ll recruit Jungkook. But that’ll come later

At least the evidence is collected:

1.

Jimin is late to weekly movie night once more. Even the others notice and ask him about it, cause usually Thursday evening they all are free. Namjoon has even puzzled his various courses around the date. But Jimin waves off their inquiries and insists he had stayed behind at the dance studio for his new routine. Nobody else has seen anyone there Thursday evening, Taehyung asked around thoroughly.

The questioning took like a week so now he is kind of behind in his theory class homework, but Jimin will help him with that. Or Jungkook. It is practical to study the same thing as your best friends. Only Namjoon and Seokjin aren’t studying dance. Taehyung did not manage to find out where Jimin had actually been.

2.

One Friday evening Jimin goes out at six o’clock. Taehyung has been hanging around at his apartment because Jungkook had thrown him out of their room. Apparently, he’d been too loud for Jungkook to rehearse his presentation. Which he honestly was, so no bad feelings about that. Taehyung knows he can hang out with Jimin instead. Or more, he thought so.

Because after entering the apartment with the spare key and settling on the couch, Jimin comes out of his room, dressed too good for a lazy Friday. Like, that dress shirt combined with those pants, and his leather jacket? Certainly not normal. Certainly one of his looking-hot fits, carefully chosen to go out in. Be seen. And then, the cherry on top, he forbade Taehyung from coming with him?

Which can only mean Jimin has one of his hook ups. While Jungkook and Taehyung have been dating for years, Jimin has always stuck to one-night stands and relationships too short for Taehyung to keep track. It isn’t that Jimin is sleeping around. It is more that he is very social and likes sex, so one thing led to the other until he just has sex when he feels like it and tries to fall in love with his partners. Until now no one had lasted.

But Jimin would have told him about some hook up or a new date leading to hook-ups. Even in passing. unless…. it is serious?

3.

Taehyung, Hoseok and Jungkook are running through their showcase routine already for the second time when Jimin shows up at the dance studio. Upon their questions he only smiles mysteriously and says he’ll tell them later. But there is no later for detective Taehyung, he is finding the truth on his own, now.

And he does find new evidence: paint. Yellow paint splashes, tiny and scattered over his left pantleg. Taehyung is the one who picked up painting for a while, Jimin didn’t. He doesn’t even own any paint, as far as Taehyung is aware. Which means he got the splashes somewhere else. Taehyung will have to follow him sometime or put a tracker in his phone. And maybe finally rope Jungkook into this, slowly he is getting swamped with university assignments while carrying out his detective work.

  1.

That fucking tiny hickey on Jimins neck one whole month after investigating is the final notch. Because Jimin wouldn’t let just anyone mark him up like that. Given all the accumulating evidence, Taehyungs conclusion is final. Jimin is guilty of being in a long-term serious relationship and keeping it a secret from all of them. Taehyung will confront him about it, he is just waiting for the right moment. Or he has to create the right moment. A moment in which Jimin will have to tell the truth.

- part two -

The bottle spins, landing directly pointing between Jungkook and Jimin. Hoseok sighs. After their house rules, the one who spun can decide which one of them has to play. And unfortunately Taehyung is the one. Which means he will dare Jungkook to do something entirely annoying like sitting on his lap the rest of the evening, or not letting go of his hand, or kissing Taehyung every time Jimin laughed. The PDA is never on low with those two.

“Jimin! Truth or dare?”, Taehyung exclaims, grinning wolfishly. All six of them squawk, looking between the two best friends. This is a never before seen occurrence. Jungkook seems confused too and Jimins mouth hangs open. He’d already leant back thinking he is off the hook.

But Taehyungs face suggests otherwise. Hoseok can see the cogs turning in Jimins brain. Either Taehyung has a really dumb and embarrassing dare especially for him or a question he knows Jimin doesn’t want to answer. And Jimin has to choose the right one for him. all of them hold their breath, watching the process.

Taehyungs eyes are gleaming creepily. Hoseok is glad he isn’t Taehyungs target tonight. Jimin eyes him warily and chooses truth. A dire mistake, as Taehyungs face changes to a bright happy grin in seconds. It isn’t creepy anymore, but honestly in this context no less concerning. Jimin gulps.

Hoseok leans forward unconsciously, wanting to know what will happen now. What is Taehyungs question? Normally he knows everything about Jimin. Hoseok sways a little with the alcohol in his veins. He should stop drinking.

“What secret are you keeping from us?”

Jimins eyes go wide, and Hoseok knows Taehyung hit the head of the nail. Jimin is keeping a secret. Probably related to his constant being-late and new, suspicious texting-smile. Hoseok isn’t as dense as the others sometimes think, he just likes waiting for his friends to tell him anything themselves without any pressure.

Jimin shakes his head. “My secret is that I didn’t wear underwear yesterday.”

Immediately chaos erupts. Taehyung exclaims that Jimin knows exactly what he wans to know, Jimin yells that the question is too vague, Hoseok and Seokjin laugh loudly. After arguing for about ten minutes during which Taehyung presents pretty solid evidence that Jimin is in fact keeping a secret, Taehyung gets backup from the other five. All of them want to know Jimins secret, so he is easily overpowered. Namjoon sincerely apologizes for ganging up on Jimin but refuses to change sides within the same breath.

“Okay okay, you piranhas. Taehyungie, yes, I have a boyfriend I didn’t tell you about.”

“I was right!”, Taehyung yells and hugs Jimin over the bottle in their middle. Then he suddenly leans back. “Wait! Why did you keep him from me? Us? This is unfair, I wanna meet him!”

“Which is why I didn’t tell you”, Jimin discloses. Taehyung raises his eyebrows and sits back down. All of them are watching Jimin now, invested. Hoseok is a little surprised at the boyfriend revelation, although looking back it does make sense.

“Do you not want us to meet him?”, Taehyung asks, pouting. He is looking genuinely sad but Hoseok can’t tell if it is just very good acting. Taehyung is capable of that. Maybe he is really upset about Jimin not wanting him to meet his boyfriend though. Hoseok isn’t upset, but he’d like to meet the mysterious guy as well. Someone Jimin falls for must be special.

Jimin apparently believes Taehyungs face. “No, I do! Eventually… He’s a freshman, and shy, and innocent. And I wanted to spend time with him alone, keep him to myself a little longer at least?”

“Aww, is Jiminie already getting possessive? It’s been what, a few months?”, Seokjin teases. Jimin scrunches up his nose but doesn’t protest, causing them to laugh at his expanse. For Jimin with his speed-dating, as Taehyung called it, that is a real change. Hoseok is hoping it’ll all work out, and that the one person Jimin finally showed real interest in won’t hurt him.

Although, there are more questions to ask first. Hoseok starts quickly, “And you said ‘shy freshman’? how does that work? you’re the campus crush, everyone knows you. who is he and how did you meet?”

“When we played hide-and-seek, he was working on an assignment. He’s an art major. I saw him, and talked to him-“

“Flirted?!”

“shut up Kook. We talked. And I may have flirted a little. And then I asked for his number, and we started texting and one thing led to the other.”

Hoseok smiles at watching Jimin. Even just talking about his boyfriend brought a soft look to his eyes. He must really like the guy.

After they all gush about their meet-cute, Taehyung squeezes some more general information out of Jimin. They all have by now realized that Taehyung had only initiated spin-the-bottle to ask Jimin about his secret, so the game is abandoned unanimously.

Apparently Jimins boyfriend, still nameless because Jimin is afraid Taehyung would stalk him on campus (a valid concern), is from Daegu and lives in the student dorms too. Jimin also likens him to a kitten and gushes about how cute he is. it is really adorable how in love Jimin already sounds, Hoseok can barely hold back some heavy cooing. Jimin is the boys first boyfriend, he is even smaller than Jimin and he had shown up to their last dance recital without them even knowing.

Overall Jimin seems pretty deep in love, and by the end Hoseok really wants to meet the boyfriend. Taehyung does his best to talk Jimin into bringing him along but only gets a vague agreement to doing that someday, of course. At least they know about him now.

- part three -

Jungkook is walking to the dance studio when he sees Jimin in front of him. He recognizes that coat and freshly dyed blonde hair. And the bouncy step. He also must be on his way to the studio. Their dance class starts soon, but usually Jimin takes a different way. Jungkook just wants to call out to him when he realizes Jimin isn’t alone.

He is walking next to someone a little shorter than him, with black messy hair in a black coat. Probably a boy. Wait, is this the boyfriend?

Jungkook walks faster but stays behind some other people and house corners carefully. He isn’t good at spying, but both of them seem pretty occupied. Jimin is waving his hands around, a habit he has when speaking animated about something funny. They look like they are laughing, until Jimin stops. He reaches down and takes the boys hand, intertwining their fingers.

Even from behind they are cute. Now the other speaks, and Jimin watches him. Jungkook is close enough now to see the absolutely endeared smile Jimin dons. He even almost walks into a lantern. Jungkook can’t get close enough to hear them speak, only catches Jimins loud giggles one time. He follows them the whole way to the dance studio, hovering behind them without joining.

Jimin said he’d introduce the boy to them when the time comes, and Jungkook respects that, even if he is really curious. Arriving at the studio, Jungkook crouches behind a tree, ignoring the passerbys looking at him. He knows he gives the image of some stalker right now, but it can’t be helped.

They still at the bus stop, Jimin looking at his phone. Jungkook checks his own phone automatically and realizes they are both late. Jimin seems to notice too, gesturing at the studio to his boyfriend. Jimin is now standing with his face to Jungkook, while the other still only shows his back. Jimin cups his face, leans down and kisses him sweetly.

Jungkook sneakily takes a photo with his phone. Just then Jimin pulls back, and he gets a great snapshot of the other standing on his toes and following Jimins mouth, his hands grabbing Jimins jacket. They say some things, then Jimin leans in to kiss his forehead, hugs him and disappears into the studio.

The boy looks after him the whole time. Jungkook decides it is time to move and gets up. His knees crack a little and a passing woman throws him an incredulous look. That was surely not his proudest moment, crouching behind a tree and sneaking photos. But Jungkook shakes it off.

As the boy shouldn’t recognize Jungkook he just walks up to the studio, choosing an angle where he can look at him properly. He only gets a short glance, but Jimin is totally right. He is really pretty in a cute way, pouting with pink cheeks. He didn’t look at Jungkook either, which is perfect.

Inside he bounces to the locker room where Jimin is just changing into his sweatpants.

“Jiminie-Hyung”, Jungkook coos. “look what I encountered today!”

He shows his phone screen to Jimin, with the picture of the boy on his toes holding onto Jimin. For a moment Jimin stares at the rather cute picture with love-filled eyes, before he realizes Jungkook saw him.

“hey, did you follow us here?”, he asks, outraged.

“yeah, accidently. It’s literally my usual route, you’re the one who changed his way,” Jungkook explains. “He’s really adorable.”

Jimin understands that Jungkook isn’t here to tease him and nods softly. “Can you send me that picture?”

- part four -

Namjoon is excited. Today he’ll finally meet Jimins mysterious boyfriend, and there are only minutes left. Jimin is fetching him from the art building right now while Namjoon is sitting here, his knee wobbling in excitement. Hoseok across from him looks similarly minded. He is obviously not giving a fuck about his dance history assignment anymore and instead turns to the door repeatedly before cluelessly staring at his book for a minute and doing it all over again.

The usual quietness of the library isn’t calming today. Namjoon feels more like there should be an orchestra in the back, leading up to the moment with passion, high-pitched violins and rumbling drums. Even though the event is only study time in a university library. When Namjoon and Hoseok heard Jimin say he’d be at the library today they told him they’d study together, like they always did. And Jimin hesitated, before admitting his boyfriend would be there too. Taehyung is immensely jealous but unable to ditch consultations for a presentation he has soon.

Minutes later, Hoseok doing literally nothing and Namjoon managing to turn one page, they hear Jimins laughter. Both of them turn quickly, Namjoons neck protesting the sudden movement. They watch as Jimin appears from behind the bookshelves first, carrying two coats over his arm.

With his other hand he’s holding his boyfriend’s hand. The freshman is smaller than Jimin, although not by much. He is wearing jeans and a big, yellow hoodie. As they come closer Namjoon can discern his features, a rather delicate face under messy black hair. He is smiling at Jimin, but his eyes are flitting towards Namjoon and Hoseok. He is really pretty, Jimin didn’t exaggerate one bit.

Hoseok, widely grinning, jumps up from his seat. The two stop in front of him.

“Hi guys. This is Hoseok-Hyung and Namjoon-Hyung”, Jimin introduces them first, nodding his head at them. Namjoon does his best to look innocent and friendly. “And this is my boyfriend Yoongi.”

“Yoongi!”, Hoseok exclaims happily, reaching out to shake a hesitant hand, “so nice to meet you! and you’re so cute!”

Namjoon wants to facepalm. At Hoseoks last comment, a blush spreads over Yoongis face, while Jimin narrows his eyes at Hoseok. With his hand he pulls the youngest closer. Yoongi looks up to Jimin in question, but the older doesn’t react, still focusing on Hoseok who’s finally let go of Yoongi.

“Hello Yoongi”, Namjoon intervenes. Yoongi nods at him, carefully smiling, and Hoseok sits back down. Jimin seems to calculate for a tiny moment, but then leads Yoongi to sit next to Namjoon and sits next to Hoseok himself. Probably the right decision, Hoseok is a rather touchy person.

At first, nothing happens as all of them start to work, or at least pretend to. Namjoon is getting stuff done, and Yoongi next to him is typing away on his laptop after a while too. Meanwhile Hoseok is too agitated, throwing one glance after the other at Yoongi. Half an hour later he can’t hold back anymore and starts asking him about his art classes and his assignments. Yoongi hesitantly answers everything, after another half an hour he even manages to do so without blushing.

The problem is Jimin, who is apparently a very possessive boyfriend. Probably because Yoongi is his first serious one.  Jimin is rather protective of his friends as well. This is new territory for him. He looks between Hoseok and Yoongi, his face absolutely unamused. Namjoon thinks he even seems confused by his own feelings for a while, he probably never had to share Yoongi with anyone else and didn’t expect to be that possessive. Neither of them get much done, not even Namjoon himself who tries to uphold his concentration until the very last minute.

Hours later they finally abandon the library table. Namjoon lets out a very loud sigh when they start packing their bags. It had been getting tense towards the end, Jimin even answering questions for Yoongi, holding his hand on the table. Namjoon is sure Hoseok understood perfectly what was going on but ignored it or teased Jimin on purpose. They go out, Jimin slinging an arm around Yoongis waist after helping him into his coat.

They separate outside, Jimin claiming he’ll bring Yoongi to his dorm. Hoseok and Namjoon are left behind, slowly walking over the campus. Just when Namjoon wants to say something, Hoseok starts laughing loudly.

“God, who would have thought Jimin regresses to a caveman in a relationship! That is gold, I can’t wait for when he meets Tae and Kookie. Taehyung can’t resist cute things at all!”, Hoseok gets out between his wheezing breath. Namjoon grins at his words, because he’s completely right. Taehyung will definitely try to hug Yoongi at least once. The question is, if Jimin will let his best friend hug his boyfriend. Maybe he learned how to cope until then.

“You shouldn’t have teased him so much, now he’s gonna be even worse, don’t you think?”

“ah, it’s okay”, Hoseok waves away Namjoons concerns, “he’ll grow with it. Yoongi is his first real boyfriend, he has to learn. Besides, there’s nothing to worry about. Did you see Yoongis heart eyes?”

- part five -

“stop eating!”, Seokjin calls after Jungkook. The younger is stuffing his mouth with snacks again, although right now Seokjin is cooking dinner for them. But well, Jungkook will eat his portion anyway. If he isn’t too distracted by todays surprise guest to movie and dinner weekend night, Jimins boyfriend.

Namjoon and Hoseok met him two weeks ago, both agreeing with Jimin that he is an absolutely adorable small kitten. They also made fun of Jimins possessive tendencies, in front of Seokjin. Taehyung and Jungkook don’t yet know about that, because Hoseok wants to see them interact naturally with Yoongi, unaware of Jimins newfound feelings.

Seokjin himself isn’t too excited. Yes, he wants to meet him, but he is feeling weirdly calm about it for now. Maybe upon seeing him it will hit. Or not. Jimin is already here too, sitting on the couch corner like on nails. Only his boyfriend is missing now, and Seokjin knows the moment his doorbell rings Jimin will jump up to open the door lest Taehyung does it first.

Taehyung is hovering at the kitchen entrance, a little more distance to the entrance but already standing. Seokjin is contemplating to order them both to help in the kitchen just for fun, but honestly he doesn’t even have a task for them as Hoseok already set the table and is stirring the noodles next to him. The seconds pass tenaciously, slower than ever. Nobody starts a real conversation, not even Seokjin interrupts the silence with a joke. It’s too tense and he feels just short of laughing anyway. They’re literally just meeting Jimins boyfriend and not some mafia boss. It hasn’t been this tense since the day Taehyung accidently killed one of Namjoons bonsais and had to tell him.

Jin turns the meat. It sizzles a bit louder, calms down again. The smell is wonderful, and Seokjin is happy he has nice food for the guest. Then, the ringing doorbell unfolds the chaos.

Seokjin calmly watches from the safe kitchen. As predicted, Jimin jumps up, and Taehyung leaps for the door. Another contender Seokjin didn’t have on his radar, Jungkook, tries getting to the door as well. All three clash right by the hallway entrance, flailing limbs and a lone fight call giving a hilarious picture. Hoseok next to him is already giggling, then Jungkook falls down, holding onto the others causing all three to crash one over the other. Seokjin can only stare at the chaos with wide eyes, before breaking out into laughter.

Only one person in the room is mindful enough to remember Yoongi who is standing outside waiting. Namjoon steps over the pile of fighting boys on the floor and walks up to the door. Seokjin can’t see or hear what happens there. Jimin, Jungkook and Taehyung realize that Namjoon has taken the desired spot from them and jump up, letting go of the others finally. Just in time for Namjoon to come back, a small black-haired boy in tow.

It is as if the room collectively holds its breath, all staring at the two entering the room. Namjoon ignores it and walks through to the kitchen. The boyfriend stops at the door, wide eyes scanning the room. He stops at Jimin, to his left with disheveled hair and red cheeks. Jimin steps forward after a moment, hugging the other to his chest in greeting, a kiss pressed into his hair. Then he stands next to him, arm around his waist and smiling softly.

“This is Min Yoongi”, he finally reveals. Everyone stares at them. Yoongi blushes and presses closer to Jimin, lifting a hand to wave adorably. Seokjins heart latches onto the newcomer, and he knows Yoongi will be another addition to the group. He triggers the same need to take care of him as the other five did.

Suddenly interrupting the silence, Taehyung jumps forward, grabbing Yoongis free hand with both of his.

“Yoongi! I’m Kim Taehyung and so happy to finally meet you!”, he exclaims. “You can call me Hyung!” Yoongi only stares at him, not even trying to get his hand back. Jimin facepalms, then he pries Taehyungs hands off his boyfriend. The rest of introductions goes much smoother, Jimin just saying their names and Yoongi shyly nodding at everyone.

As Seokjin is also done with the food, they all sit down around the table, Yoongi between Jimin and Taehyung. The whole meal they have a very weird rivalry going, both offering Yoongi more food, to fill his empty water glass, asking if he need salt or wants a bite from their plate. Taehyung just wants to get to know Yoongi in his own rather zealous and passionate ways, Jimin is trying to dote on his boyfriend but doesn’t like if Taehyung does it.

Yoongi between them is eating in small bites, looking around and saying not much at all. Hoseok next to Seokjin is constantly laughing at them, while Seokjin has a constant all-overshadowing urge to facepalm. Namjoon tries to uphold a conversation and include everyone. Jungkook is watching Yoongi closely. Unlike his boyfriend he is more of a quiet guy in meeting new people.

After eating Yoongi offers to help clean the table and dishes, causing Jimin and Taehyung to immediately refuse him and do it themselves. Seokjin leans back, happily letting them do the work. Instead the rest of them finally talk to Yoongi, who is apparently shy but still confident with his knowledge and opinions. Jin quite likes him.

During the movie Jimin and Yoongi cuddle on the smallest couch. It is a cute view. Yoongi, only a few centimeters shorter, is curling himself into Jimin, making himself appear even smaller, while Jimin is stretching around Yoongi, holding him close easily. They talk with low voices, giggling and sharing tiny kisses. It is really adorable and Seokjin sneakily takes a photo or two.

But he also can’t not tease Jimin about it. “If you two are just gonna flirt the whole time you don’t have to come here to watch a movie, you know.”

Jimin glares at him before he shifts to a mischievous grin. “Okay, we’ll go home!” Yoongi watches the exchange with wide eyes, looking even more like a kitten, only missing some perked up triangle ears and twitching whiskers.

“No!”, Taehyung interrupts the movie unnecessarily loud, “stay here! Hyung shut up. Yoongi don’t believe him, we want you here, you’ll have to come to every movie night from now on!”

Yoongi blinks and nods, the others laugh at them. Jimin ruffled Yoongis hair adoringly before settling down again.

At the end of it Jimin is almost carrying a half-asleep Yoongi out of the door. He is pouting and whining about wanting to cuddle and refusing to move his legs much. Jimin acts like he is annoyed by it but grins fondly the whole time. Seokjin loves to see it, how Yoongi has changed Jimin into this overprotective boyfriend, like a loyal puppy running around him. The others offer help more than once, but in the end Jimin carries Yoongis weight alone out the door.

“well, I really like him”, Seokjin states into the silence, only he, Jungkook and Taehyung left.

“me too! He’s…. fluffy.”

“Taehyung, he doesn’t even have fur or anything.”

“his personality is fluffy. I rest my case.”

- epilogue -

Yoongi has a battle plan. He perfected it, experimented and adjusted it, for weeks. The others don’t know it because it’s also a secret. He’s like a spy. He’ll reach his goal with a perfect plan without the others even noticing. The goal, for clarification, is getting cuddles. Especially from Jimin because those are the best, but also overall more cuddles.

There are a few easy steps to the plan, and Yoongi follows them often enough that Jimin should realize, but he doesn’t. Yoongi needs the others for those steps. Luckily they hang out a lot. After finally meeting all of them he tagged along to their movie nights and meet-ups more and more until he became a part of the group, not just Jimins attachment.

They are all kind of tall and loud and constantly excited, but also kind, smart, funny and really cool. He’s the youngest, and it’s noticeable. He knows Seokjin lets him get away with much more than the others, that even Jungkook who is the normal food-stealer doesn’t do it to him. He’s really endeared by all of them and tries to give back what he can.

Which is difficult if they always try to dote on him, but he manages. Namjoon for one is a disaster with everything crafty, so he helped him set up his new Ikea furniture. He helps Seokjin cooking, watches their dance practice videos and gives them honest reviews, he goes to their recitals and cheers them on. So it’s only fair he uses them for his plans.

Step 1:

Hover near Jungkook, Hoseok or Taehyung. They are the touchiest and perfect for his plan. Namjoon and Seokjin are also okay, but he’d need to initiate any physical contact himself. The other three are easier this way, with how much they love cuddling anyone in vicinity.

Step 2:

This one has two parts, to be executed at the same time

Hug them, cuddle them, hold their hands, let them ruffle his hair, let them feed him something. anything that involves skin ship, really.

And the other part, make sure Jimin sees it at some point. He doesn’t have to from the beginning, but a premium ten-seconds-hug should be discovered ideally about five seconds in.

Step 3:

Act innocently. He’s good at that, puppy eyes and a clueless pout. He knows he’s cute, the others tell him all the time. Taehyung sometimes behaves like he’s a cat, whatever’s up with that. Yoongi only knows it gets him some premium head scratches, so whatever.

And that’s it already, the rest happens automatically. Jimin will do exactly what he wants, lured into a perfect trap by him. because ultimately, he’s kind of possessive and protective of Yoongi, even with his friends. It doesn’t translate into obsessive jealousy or controlling behavior, he would never try to stop Yoongi from hugging them or anything, but if he sees it happening he’ll come over and hug him too. One time when he was drunk, he explained that with all the hugs Yoongi gets he’s afraid Yoongi will forget his arms, which is just too adorable.

So if Jimin sees their friends doing anything with Yoongi, he’ll come over and do that too, but better because it’s Jimin. which is the whole point of all this. More hugs and cuddles for Yoongi. First he gets a hug from their friends, then one from Jimin. If he just asked Jimin he’d get only one, with this perfect tactic he gets two.

Yoongi spots Taehyung and Jungkook play-wrestling on the couch. Maybe he should join. A short assessment of the situation shows Jimin is also in the room. perfect. Yoongi will successfully complete another mission and get his boyfriend to cuddle him on the couch. Wrestling is very touchy-feely, Taehyung is a real octopus and Jimin didn’t hug him for about an hour now which means he’s near deprived, the chances are great for success. Failure isn’t an option anyway.

I'd be happy about any kidos and comments🥺😁💜
