"Jungkookie!, come down already Jiminie is waiting for you." Mrs. Jeon shouted from downstairs getting a loud 'coming!' and soon the hurried footsteps can be heard.
"You were late" Jimin huffed glaring at Jungkook, who was putting on his jacket.
"Sorry I slept late last night-" Jungkook started to explain but Jimin rolled his eyes in annoyance as the boy kept on making their small hangouts late for the past few months with his silly excuses. He doesn't really know why, but he hates it.
"Save it Jeon. Let's just go Gyeom is waiting in the car" Jimin rolled his eyes again and walked ahead. The taller one only nodded and followed Jimin to the car. A pained smile took over his face but he immediately replaced it with his most famous bunny smile.
"Hey wassup Kook!, like always you were late again geez" Yugyeom laughed while doing a fist bump with Jungkook as he entered the car.
"Ahh sorry I just overslept," Jungkook replied, earning a chuckle from Yugyeom and a scoff from Jimin. He sighed and looked outside of the window.
The ride to the arcade cafe felt too short for Jimin and Yugyeom but for Jungkook it took forever. Both males talked non stop to each other while Jungkook kept quiet most of the time, answering with just short replies and hums.
Jungkook just didn't want to go with them and be a....third wheel. No no, it's not like Jimin and Yugyeom don't care about him ,they do. Of course they will, because three males are best of best friends. Except the fact that,
Jimin and Jungkook are also cousins, not blood related though.
Both of them are closer than you think. They care for each other a lot and can't live without each other, one's opinion about things matter a lot to the other. One person can do anything to make other happy and...sad? That's a far thing to think about. Little bickerings were normal between them. They would fight this moment and laugh in the next moment.
Those sleepover nights, eating yummy and colorful mochis, with specially baked cookies by Mrs. Park at night. Eating breakfast, giggling while walking to school. The moments when they would protect each other from school bullies. Skinship was too normal for them,hugging and soft kisses on cheeks. They loved it. Their mothers never stopped them thinking they don't know the meaning of it yet and on top it's just a cheek kiss.
Their most favourite skinship would be bear hugs. Sometimes when Jimin suddenly jumps on Jungkook to surprise, they end up falling hard and instead of crying they would giggle loudly.
Jimin and Jungkook love each other a lot since childhood and there was no exception.
In their last year of highschool they met a boy named Yugyeom who was the same age as them. They immediately clicked with each other and in no time they became best friends. Yugyeom was such an outgoing, big hearted, cheerful and a sweet person. He was the kindest of all. He envied the strong relationship between Jimin and Jungkook. He found it too cute to be true.
But that relationship changed the moment Jimin told his true feelings about Yugyeom to Jungkook in their last year of University.
Jungkook didn't know how to react. Should he feel happy because his best friend found his love?
Or should he feel hurt because his first love just confessed to him that he loves Yugyeom not him?.
Yes, Jeon Jungkook Loves Park Jimin.
A long time ago he had found his feelings for the smaller. He knew the love he had towards him wasn't just a friendly or brotherly love for him. It was more than that. He loved him in another way. In the best way.
"-kook-ah, Jungkook!" The boy flinched by the sound of Jimin calling him. His heart almost burst out by that sudden call of his name as if he was caught red handed.
"Did we arrive?" He asked, acting excited. Jimin stared back at Jungkook with narrow eyes. He knew something was up to his cousin but didn't know what it was. He mentally noted to himself to ask him later about it.
"Yes Kook-ah, now let's go out" Yugyeom chirped and unbuckled his seat belt, followed by Jimin and Jungkook doing the same.
After buying tickets they stand in the middle of less busy cafè "So which game do you wanna play first?" Yugyeom asked while wrapping his arm around Jimin's waist pulling him closer.
"Let's play a car race first" Jimin requested and without another word they headed to that station.
"Let's see who wins this time" Yugyeom smirked and a chuckle escaped Jungkook's lips as he took a seat.
"Yeah, as if you hadn't lost more than fifty times already from us," he scoffed playfully, earning a slap from Yugyeom while Jimin laughs.
Jimin inserted three tickets and the game started. As always Yugyeom was leading the game at first, looking so determined to win today, Jimin was leading the next with a bright smile on his face as if he was just gonna win while Jungkook looked too calm, knowing he will be the winner in the end.
Oh yes, there are times when Jungkook would intentionally lose just to make Jimin win and see him happy and would immediately regret it when he sees Jimin hugging Yugyeom.
Jungkook put the pressure on the escalator suddenly feeling furious and took speed, his car leading now leaving both of their cars behind. Jimin gasped and side glared at his bestfriend beside him.
"I will kill you Jeon" Jimin huffed in anger as he watched Jungkook winning again who chuckled while uttering ' try harder next time'.
Yugyeom wrapped his arms around his sulking boyfriend and rested his chin on his shoulder. "It's okay sweetheart, let's win other games yeah?. Now stop sulking" Jimin's cheeks tinted with a light pink by the familiar nickname and because of some attention he got from other people in the arcade area.
Jungkook fisted his hand tight, not liking a bit of what he was witnessing in front of his eyes. Although he should be already used to this kind of behaviour of two by now but he doesn't like it, he can never get used to it even if he wants to.
"Ahamm i will be back guys, you both continue to play" he excused himself but didn't really get their attention as they seem to be busy in their own world. Jungkook left immediately from there and went to the restroom. He shut his eyes tightly leaning against the sink.
"I hate you heart, i fuckin hate you" he mumbled.
It was hard for the boy to see all of these kinds of interaction between them. He wants to be happy, happy for his best friends. But his heart doesn't listen to him.
He was frustrated now. How he just wanted to fly back to those times where Jimin didn't confess his love for Yugyeom and he wasn't too late.
He was too coward to confess his love for Jimin before. How he wished he was the one to shower Jimin with all the love and affection and be the reason for that moon crescent eye smile.
But you don't get all the things you want in life. So maybe Jimin was one of them.
He chuckled half heartedly and shook his head. Taking a deep breath, he splashed some water on his face and left the restroom. He decided to take a drink from the cafe instead of searching for the couple.
As he was about to take a turn he felt a tug on his jacket. He stopped and looked back but didn't see anyone, frowning he turned back to resume his walk but stopped immediately seeing a very cute little kid looking up at him with his crinkly shiny eyes more like batting his eyes.
Jungkook tilted his head while a smile crawled on his thin lips.
"Hey lil champ, what's up?" He asked softly, pinching the boy's adorable cheeks. The kid again tugged on his jacket, indicating to come down at his height level.
A chuckle escaped his lips as he crouched down to the level of a kid.
"So?" He raised his eyebrows. The kid started fiddling with his small fingers, suddenly being shy. Jungkook couldn't help his big smile.
"H-Hyung can you gibe me one tiket pwease?" Jungkook chuckled at the pure cuteness of the kid and ruffled his hair.
"What makes you think that I will give you? Little boy" He decided to tease the kid a bit.
The kid looked up with his shy eyes still fiddling with his fingers "Becaushe you are handshum hyung" he mumbles with a light tint on his cheeks, Jungkook laughed and pinched his cheeks again, he cooed at the kid.
"hmm i see, if you want it give this Handshum hyung a kiss on cheeks'' The kid's bambi eyes went wide as he saw more than ten tickets on his hand. His eyes shined with happiness and without thinking he gave a smooch kiss on Jungkook's cheek and even hugged him with his little arms. Jungkook giggled while handing tickets to him.
"You are so cute, what's your name?" He asked, ruffling his hair.
"My name ish M-Mingyu, I am 4 yhears old" Mingyu replied and held four little fingers up.
"Mingyu, you are too adorable," Jungkook said as he stood up.
"What about we have some juice first and then we can play together?" He decided to spend his time with this kid instead going to his friends.
Mingyu eagerly nodded, jumping, excited to spend time with his handshum hyung. Jungkook didn't forget to ask Mingyu's parents permission first, who gladly gave him seeing Mingyu was giving puppy eyes to them, and in the condition that they both stay in front of them.
So, Jungkook spent his time playing with Mingyu. It's been so long he had so much fun, he is glad that Mingyu was with him. The little kid got so comfortable with Jungkook. Both giggling while they played. It's a lot more better than staying alone in the corner or watching his bestfriends showing affection.
Mingyu unfortunately had to leave with his parents as they were getting late for somewhere. The kid pouted sadly but that pout was immediately replaced with a giggling mess when Jungkook tickled his sides and gave him a soft hug. The kid almost disappeared in his wide built muscles.
Just after he bid him goodbye just then he got a call from Jimin. He sighs and answers the call.
"Where are you Jeon?, why weren't you picking my calls?" Jungkook internally scoffed at that.
"Oh I was with Taehyung,"he lied, slapping himself for another lame excuse he came up with.
"Taehyung? here?" Jungkook pursed his lips.
"Yes haha funny right, surprisingly he was also here with his baby cousin haha" he acted surprised yet happy. Jimin didn't say more than a simple 'okay' about it and asked him to come back so they can leave for supper together.
'Here goes my third wheeling ass back to work' he groaned, biting his bottom lip. He doesn't really enjoy meals like this, he did before but it's different now. Jimin and Yugyeom are a couple now. Things changed.
They had the delicious supper in a five star restaurant, Yugyeom's treat like most of the times.
Yugyeom is more wealthier than Jungkook and Jimin, sure they are too but not as Yugyeom. He likes to spend his money on his friends. Not like he shows off. He just genuinely wants to give the best for both of his best friends. Yugyeom actually acts like an older brother to them and other two thinks the same. Big brother but with the sweet heart like a kid. Its just he is always the one to be the giving one, even though both cousins protest a lot but always stops after earning a serious glare from Yugyeom.
When the clock struck 8 they decided to go home now. Yugyeom stopped the car in front of Jimin's house. After thanking Yugyeom for the treat Jungkook got out of the car, leaving Jimin and Yugyeom to share their own type of goodbye but not forgetting to tease them which makes the couple embarrassed.
Jungkook was about to enter his house when a hand grasped onto his right hand making him halt on his steps. Jungkook turned around only to see Jimin standing in front of him. He didn't see the car there anymore, meaning Yugyeom left.
"Jimi-" The smaller one cut him off.
"....Are you okay Jungkook? Is there something disturbing you? If it is then, you know you can talk to me" he tells with his soft voice forgetting that he was pissed off on Jungkook's behaviour from the past few weeks.
" Of Course i'm okay Jimin, don't worry," Jungkook replied, giving his bunny smile. Jimin's worried gaze never left Jungkook, but he smiled nonetheless, once again believing Jungkook's bright fake smile. It's been like this for a good while now.
Jungkook feels bad for lying and all about his behaviour but he can't help it. His heart is stubborn like a kid.
"You don't like spending time with us now?" Jimin who is still gripping the taller's hand looks up at his eyes
Jungkook almost laughed out loud at the question. " What are you saying Jimin, when did I never liked spending time with my best friends huh, and those free treats. You have to be kidding me" Jungkook laughed, making Jimin crack a smile.
"You really are a child," Jimin exclaimed, shaking his head with a smile on his face while he ruffled Jungkook's hair.
"Oh i will go now. Mom and Dad must be waiting for me" Jimin nodded understanding and gave a quick tight hug to Jungkook making him feel so many things in his stomach. God, it feels good.
"Goodnight and take care Jungkook-ah, see you tomorrow at the cafe" he waved him goodbye.
Jungkook plops himself on his soft bed too tired from today's events. He wasn't hungry so he skipped his dinner and decided to take a long relaxing shower. The images of Jimin and Yugyeom start playing in his head while water pours down on him.
The taller one was always good at hiding his emotions from everyone. Covering his sad smile with his bunny smile, he is too good at it. Sometimes Jimin also gets tricked into it. He was sad and happy at the same time. Glad that Jimin won't be worried that he is not okay. And sad...that the person who knew him better than anyone doesn't know what he feels.
It was too much for him. He just wanted to stop feeling this way because sooner or later they will propose to each other and get married. What will he do that time?. He better compose himself and prepare for that time.
He put on a sweatshirt and loose pajamas and came out of the bathroom drying his hair with a towel. After applying night cream he sat on his bed back against headboard and grabbed his so called precious diary named as,

He changed the title because that's what it was supposed to be from the beggining. Not that cringe and silly 'JIM'.

He knows it's childish, but no one can blame him. He was a kid back then when he named it thinking about how other boys in the class wanted to be friends with Jimin, he just didn't want to share his best friend.
Yugyeom had an entirely different personality that not only Jimin but Jungkook also wanted to be friends with and he decided to reach Yugyeom first with a friendship hand to grasp on. So here they are...
He opened his diary and grabbed his pen.

Today i again went with the love birds being a third wheel *pouts* but they look good together, don't you think so?
Anyways, I met this cute angel named Mingyu, thankfully he saved me from another boring day. He was too adorable just like Jimin.
I hope I can meet him again.

After writing about today's event in short, being satisfied, he pastes a small smiley sticker at the end of the message before closing the diary and putting it under his pillow and waiting for sleep to over take him.
