After discovering a dead body in the local woods, Kain McCarthy comes face to face with Jeff W. Kallahan, a killer that escaped prison under mysterious circumstances 7 years ago. He has been ordered by the so-called Slenderman to take him to their mansion.
Kain discovers that he has dragon ancestry, and that he can turn into a real dragon.
Jeff has to learn how to trust a creature big enough to stomp him and kill him, meanwhile Kain has to trust a man that's unsuccesfully tried to kill him with his bare hands.
