There’s a new little boy, today.
“What’s your name, dear?” Miss Tanaka asks in her sickly-sweet tone, the one she uses with certain people that don’t include Hitoshi. It won’t last long. She really likes to yell an awful lot. “What did your parents call you?”
“Shouta,” the boy says, immediately. Hitoshi blinks. The boy doesn’t seem shy, unlike most new orphans.
Hitoshi is still shy, and he’s been here as long as he can remember.

"¿Cuál es tu nombre querida?" Pregunta la señorita Tanaka en su tono enfermizamente dulce, el que usa con ciertas personas que no incluyen a Hitoshi. No durará mucho. A ella realmente le gusta muchísimo gritar. “¿Cómo te llamaron tus padres?”
"Shouta", dice el niño inmediatamente. Hitoshi parpadea. El niño no parece tímido, a diferencia de la mayoría de los nuevos huérfanos. Hitoshi todavía es tímido y ha estado aquí desde que tiene uso de razón.
