Prologue: A bedtime Story
“A long long time ago, MONSTERS and HUMANS had lived together in harmony.
But one day, HUMANS had declared War on the MONSTERS. No one knows why they did, whether it was corruption or fear, it was debated on. “
A heavy sigh filled the room.
“After many years with countless dust particles in the air, HUMANS were victorious. MONSTERS fled to MT.EBOTT, where they would be sealed by a strong magical BARRIER made from 7 HUMAN MAGES. ”
“Nan, do you think that one day the MONSTERS will be able to break free from the barrier?”
“Who knows? The BARRIER was made with SOUL POWER, which made it hard to break as a HUMAN SOUL is much stronger than a MONSTER SOUL.”
“ Oh… ”
“Nana, can you tell me one more story?”
“Oh? But it’s already past your bedtime”
“Pleassse Nana! I wanna hear how you and Grandma met again. I’ll go to sleep straight after!”
“Ohoho, fine my dear”
“It started on my first day working at the library. I was organizing some new books and then suddenly a goose came out of nowhere. Then it started to attack me. I was in so much pain, dear, that I started to tear up at the eyes. Eventually, I was able to put on a bodysuit that protected me from the goose."
The child's eyes sparkle with awe, waiting for their Nana to continue.
"Now, my dear, can you tell me why the goose appeared?”
“Oh! Oh! I know this! A goose appears when it’s time to meet your soulmate! And, um, ah yes! The goose won’t stop attacking you until you find your soulmate.”
“Good job, my dear. That is exactly right”
“It took me and your grandma a month and a half to meet. Let me tell you when we met, we were so relieved. As the bodysuits that we had back then were really ugly and unfashionable compared to the ones now.”
“ Anyway, when our eyes made contact, I felt a slight tug on my soul drawing me towards her.”
“Haa~ I rem------it-----ke--------day-”
