Chapter Text

           Huang Shaotian often had to do more hours of training, usually as punishment for saying something he shouldn't or exaggerating, but sometimes the only thing Yu      Wenzou would ask him to do was go buy drinks for the team.
           Part of him thought this was beneath him. He is the Vice-Captain and the Sword Saint! Send some interns to do this!
            But as it was Yu Wenzou who asked, his captain, he had no choice but to obey.
             That's how he met Dayu Li, at first he didn't even know her name. The girl with brown hair and green eyes was on her first day on the job when Shaotian went to buy drinks for the team.
            She was strangely quiet.
           The blonde tried to start a conversation while waiting for the other barista to finish the order, since there was no other customer at that time, but he only got monosyllabic answers.
            It should be easier to talk to Zhou Zekai than to the girl with the green eyes.
           But at that moment he decided, he would make the beauty speak to him.
            It was a personal challenge from that moment on.

 ( 1 month later) 

    They approached with slow, tiny steps.
      In the beginning, it was just a basic dialogue:
       -Good morning/afternoon, what is your order? - she would ask with a minimal and professional smile.
     Then he would say the order and the girl (woman) would ask him to wait until the order was ready, then she would come back and give the ready order to him.
      But he really dedicated himself to get out of this daily dialogue.
       -Good morning, what's your order? - The girl asked.
       -I... what would you indicate today... - He asked giving her the opportunity to speak his name. She straightened the jacket she wore over her uniform so that a badge was displayed, Huang Shaotian read: Li Dayu.
        It was a beautiful name, it suited her.
       -Beautiful name.- said - So, what do you recommend?
       His heart skipped a beat when she smiled, it seemed more sincere now.
      -We have these two new drinks and this milkshake too. - commented - I suppose that only one is different? And the rest follow the same as always?
       This caught him off guard.
       -Yes, along with that milkshake… wait, do you know my usual order?
     Huang Shaotian heard a burst of male laughter in the background and looked in the direction. He was Dayu Li's co-worker.
     -She knows even what time you come, chatbox - the man commented and, even though the blonde didn't like the nickname, the new information made him blush slightly.
      But he smiled when he noticed that Li had the same reaction.
      -Well, since you know what time I come, I don't see why you don't know my name. - He commented being the opportunistic master he was - I'm Huang Shaotian, can I wait for my order at the usual table?
      -Of Course. - The girl commented overcoming the urge to bury herself in the ground. - I'll take it there.

      If anyone was surprised at how the Blue Rain's vice-captain looked radiant the rest of the day and how he had given each of their drinks into their hands with a smile on his face, no one commented.
        But Yu Wenzou was surprised and based on Shaotian's recent behavior, he even had an idea of what had caused it, but it wasn't in his plans to intervene.
        Not when Huang Shaotian had volunteered to go buy the drinks and had improved even more in the game.
        The Swoksaar's player didn't understand what his improvement had to do with the fact that he seemed to have a crush, but honestly, he understood that it wasn't his business.

           Dayu Li was just a normal young woman, she was 22 years old and was the legal guardian of her younger brother, 13, Dayu Jiang.
            She worked mornings and afternoons in a cafeteria/ice cream parlor, which paid decently, and had a best friend: Qiang Tao, who worked there with her.
          And she was also quiet. Very.
          So having a cute regular customer who talked enough to be nicknamed Chatbox wasn't her favorite thing, especially when that same customer seemed intent on getting her to actually talk to him.
         But he was nice and showed up almost every day, always at the same time.
        His hair was singed blond and his eyes were a beautiful shade of hazel. She couldn't deny that he was, in fact, handsome
        But he was also friendly and talkative. Being friendly was great, but being talkative was uncomfortable.
Until she got used to his way.
        And the boy finally decides to get out of their daily conversation.
       Huang Shaotian.
      He really was brilliant, as Huang meant, but she couldn't help but think that the name was strangely familiar and that she must have known where.
      She went home still thinking about it, when she arrived Jiang was playing Glory. As always.
     -Welcome, Jie, want to play? - Jiang asked when he saw his sister putting her bag in the usual place. - I wanted your help on a mission.
     Li loved glory, for a long time, it was her passion.
     But then, their parents died and she took the position of raising Jiang. She was too old for that and had to be the responsible adult in the house, getting a job, taking care of her brother's food, and not allowing his childhood to be bad because of the loss of his parents.
        It was tiring but it was necessary.
       The only times the green-eyed girl still played Glory was when Jiang needed help with something, and as he was getting better, those moments were getting much rarer.
Not that she minded.
Or that playing for a few minutes reminded her of what it was like to dream of the professional scene.
Or that she missed the thrill of robbing a wild boss.
She didn't miss it and didn't care, she wasn't interested in the professional alliance either, and she was great that way.
      Daiyu Li shook her head to dismiss these thoughts and opened the fridge, unwilling to cook.
      -I think we're going to order pizza today. - announced sitting next to her younger brother - So, what do you need?

(1 week later) 

        Shaotian realized that Dayu Li had the ability to surprise him a few days after he told her his name.
      When he arrived to place his order, he found the order ready with his name written on a post-it with a smiling emoji beside it.
       -Is this so you don't need to talk to me? And I was thinking that we had evolved. - Commented to the girl with green eyes. He stopped himself before saying much, he knew Dayu Li was very easy to overwhelm so he measured his words close to her. - I don't know if I feel happy or offended.
      The man who had laughed the other day smiled.
      -If I were you, I would be happy, she prepared each one herself. Dayu Li blushed but continued to smile.
       -I just wanted to move things along. - Commented - Why do you always ask for so many?
      -They're for my… - He wondered if he should say he was a professional player. She didn't seem to have recognized his name so she might not like games or be interested in it, but what if she treated him differently? Was he spoiling something they might have had before it started?
       But starting something with secrets wasn't healthy, right?
       -Are they for your…? - she woke him up - You traveled for a second.
       -Coworkers. - he said simply. It was an omission, not a lie. - It's just that I thought of something I forgot to do.
        -Serious? What?
         -Ask your number.- Neither Ye Qiu would have been such shameless, he mentally patted his forehead. He could feel his cheeks heating.
        -Oh. - great, he had left her speechless.
       Congratulations, Shaotian. , he thought mentally.
         -FINALLY! - The guy from before yelled approaching. - Hello, I'm Qiang Tao. And that's Xiao Li's number.
       He held out a paper and Shaotian caught it smiling. Then he took the order and said goodbye.
      His face could explode if he smiled any more.

       Qiang Tao had the amazing idea of giving her number to Huang Shaotian when Dayu Li couldn't even remember how to speak Chinese.
       She didn't know if she wanted to hug him or punch him hard.
      But anyway, she was waiting for the blonde to text or call her. Luckily, Daiyu Li didn't wait long.
      As soon as she got home she had a new message.

Unknown number: Hey, your favorite regular customer here. Well I hope I'm your favorite because if I weren't that it would be just as embarrassing as me talking too much when you don't like too much talk and….
Unknown number: I talked too much, didn't I?

        She smiled immediately, only one person she knew had the ability to speak/type so much without meaning to.

Xiao Li: All right.
Xiao Li: And yes, you are the favorite.

Huang Shaotian: So I think you can use my first name alone, Xiao Li.

Xiao Li: Sure, Shaotian, what are you doing now?

Shaotian: I was working, but my superior gave the team a break. Is that you?

Xiao Li: I just got home.

Shaotian: So how about we play a game? 21 questions.

Xiao Li: Why not?

Shaotian: Cool Cool Cool Cool I start. How old are you?

Xiao Li: 22. Are you an only child?

         Then Shaotian thought of Daiyu Li smiling quietly as she listened to him speak, even though she was the type to enjoy silence. If Daiyu Jiang recognized him, he would just tell Xiao Li who he was.
         Huang Shaotian just hoped it didn't change everything between them.

Shaotian; I would love. So it's my turn. What is your favorite color?

       Dayu Jiang was always grateful for the sister he had.
           He knew how many things and dreams she had given up because of him after they lost their parents, so when she shyly asked him to spend his day without class at the cafe and meet a friend of hers, Jiang had no ability to say no.
      Not when it seemed so important to his Jie.
      So he was sitting at a table near the quiet counter while creating a sketch for a sword he wanted to try to make in the game.
       Until a blond guy walks in and goes straight to the counter, talks to his sister.
       He analyzed every detail of the newcomer that seemed strangely familiar to him. The blonde made a request, which Li passed to Qiang Tao, and turned in the direction his sister had pointed.
        Jiang stopped for a second thinking it was impossible.
         Because there was no way the “friend” his sister wanted him to meet was her idol, but there was Huang Shaotian, the Saint of the Sword smiling at him as he asked to sit in the chair in front of Jiang.
         -Of c-course. - replied blinking.
         -Hm, you recognized me. After Xiao Li said you were a Blade Master I thought it could happen, but I needed to talk to you first because meeting part of the family of the girl you like is something important and… - He stopped talking suddenly. - Do you mind if I talk too much? I know your sister doesn't like it.
          That's where Jiang thought. Li was the quietest person he knew, she loved just being silent, how could she be liking Huang Shaotian, the human voice box?
           And other. "Meet part of the family of the girl you like..."
           The pro gambler didn't know they were orphans or that Daiyu Li was responsible for him…and he liked her.

              She stopped and looked at him in disbelief. Then he turned to Jiang who nodded.

               -Because I like You - he said simply - I even like the way you stop talking out of nowhere because you want to enjoy the silence and the way you listen to me talk even though you hate conversations. I like your smile and how shy you are with new people but open with people you care about.
              -I...
             -And I didn't approve of him because he's my favorite player. - Jiang spoke again - I approved because when he looked at you, his eyes sparkled.
            -Right. - She said still in shock and gave a 360-degree turn towards the counter. - See you Friday, Shaotian.
             The blonde smiled once more before grabbing their drinks and leaving.
             -Hey Jiang, want to see Blue Rain inside? - he asked and the youngest nodded. - Xiao Li, I've been stealing your brother for two hours.
           Shaotian wanted to see what his successor would think of having another player his age there, just for a change.
             -Just return alive, didi. - she joked knowing that the next two hours would be the younger brother's dreams.

              -Shaotian. - The captain found him at the door because of Shaotian's delay in going to buy the drinks, he wouldn't admit it but he was starting to worry. His eyes dropped to the teenager. - Who is he?
               -This is the brother of a friend of mine. - He replied smiling - he's also my fan and in love with Blue Rain, so I thought… why not? Little Lu might enjoy playing a bit with someone his age.
         Yu Wenzou sighed.
          -I can think of several reasons to deny it.
       Then he looked at the boy with bright green eyes.
          -Okay, as long as he doesn't get in the way of whoever is training.
        Jiang was never so grateful to have little puppy eyes as he was at that moment.
        And neither Yu Wenzou nor Huang Shaotian knew that in just one afternoon, the green-eyed teenager would have conquered the entire team and the manager of Blue Rain.
      And made a new best friend as a bonus.

I also kill myself working because I'm addicted to it, but I can be imperfect with you.

I like that even if you're not a fan of being around people, you like being around me and I like to give up your silence to listen to me. - he continued - and I adore your brother, I love going to see you at your work because I feel like I'm seeing you in your natural habitat and more than that. I love you, maybe since the moment I decided to make the coffee girl talk more than two sentences to me.
               -I hear that this girl is boring and sometimes annoying.

            It was just a peck, there were no fireworks. There was just the feeling that everything was in the right place, that they were the right people for each other.
             Xiao Li smiled at him brightly as a stunned Huang Shaotian went to get the alternate accounts he had brought.

            -Two accounts from the ninth server. A Blade Master and a Witch because Little Jiang said this was your original class before started playing Blade Master to help him.
            -You are the best.
           -You were the one who spoke. Not Me.

             So, it's been a while since the Glory community started debating some sudden changes in the personality of our beloved Saint of the Sword, he didn't talk as much outside of matches anymore, he seemed livelier than usual and was also getting fewer updates on his networks. social.

           And now we finally have a theory to explain it: Huang Shaotian could be dating someone.
           In the photos above you can see the same girl on several occasions, always related to the Blue Rain team and the professional player.

             You can also see how close she is with the boy who came to be called the 'Blue Rain mascot' last month (now one of the players at Blue Rain Camp), and Dayu Jiang has been called little brother and didi by Shaotian several times.
             Dayu Jiang has an older sister in the same age group as Huang Shaotian, who is really beautiful and friendly (from what I've heard).
              I don't think it's a coincidence.

                It is also worth noting that Dayu Li (the sister) is a Glory fan who is returning to play after being forced to leave the game for a while. On her social networks, you can see posts with nostalgic captions.

               The only negative thing is that Dayu Li claims on her Weibo that she has a boyfriend (which she really loves) while Shaotian never confirmed anything.
                But if her boyfriend really is a famous professional player, of course, he couldn't take over like that out of the blue, right?
                Anyway, it's just theories and I was longing to post something like that (since Deus Ye's retirement theories are toxic and tiresome. )

               Well, he supposed Xiao Li had gotten involved with Shaotian knowing about what he was like so she wouldn't be surprised.

              The interviewer was lost not even understanding what had happened when the captain changed the subject and this was not discussed again until the end of the program.
            The upside was that the couple was finally able to post their photos together and Shaotian finally changed their relationship status on social media.
            In just one week the entire community was a fan of the OTP which was totally opposite but matched perfectly.

           When Ye Xiu started to form Happy, he even called Xiao Li, but she refused, even though it was an incredible chance, because she was about to be the first girl to join the Blue Rain team.
             He was a little upset about losing this talent, but he didn't stop supporting the girl. Ye Xiu was a little proud.
            A tiny bit of Muqiu would go with her because GLORY wasn't a one-person game and every player you encountered became part of your glory.

              He was even more proud when the duo of curse and sword became a trio.
              Well, Dayu Li knew Shaotian better than anyone else and Wenzou had really become like a brother to her. It was obvious why the three worked well together.

            When Shaotian was called up for the Chinese team, he gained a lot of new fans, but he didn't care whether he gained or lost fans.
           He would be happy even at 2 years old. His fiancee and his brother-in-law (soon to debut as little Lu's companion) and in the future Shaotian would be happy to have one more fan.
            The Chinese team had already won and they had already gotten married when Dayu Li went crazy and called several professionals (now retired) that the two were close to their house. Just to surprise everyone with the news of her pregnancy.

            And Dayu-Huang Li could have sworn that no baby was as spoiled as his son, Huang Rong.
          Rong, a name that meant Glory, just as Xiao Li's life became glorious and complete when she met her son's father.
