Set twenty years in the future.
Arizona stood in front of the mirror in the palatial hotel bathroom, smoothing out the cobalt blue fabric of her floor-length dress.
"Does this make me look too mother-of-the-bride?" She asked, eyes fixed on the reflection of her hands moving along her hips.
"You are the mother of the bride," Callie retorted, coming up behind Arizona, placing her strong hands over smaller ones, settling her head on Arizona's shoulder so she could appraise her wife's reflection.
"Yes, but that doesn't mean I have to look stodgy and old." Arizona retorted, gaze still fixed on the mirror.
"I said nothing about stodgy or old, Arizona," Callie murmured, warm breath ghosting over Arizona's ear. "You're an M-O-T-B-I-L-F."
Arizona furrowed her brows, turning to look at her wife directly, beyond perplexed.
Callie flashed her wife a cheeky smirk, taking a step backwards to overtly ogle Arizona's body. "A mother of the bride I'd like to f–"
"Calliope!" Arizona admonished. "This is our daughter's wedding!"
Callie just shrugged unapologetically. "But," she began, taking on an earnest tone, "I can honestly say that you're the most beautiful mother of the bride I've ever seen."
"You must not have gotten a good look in the mirror then," Arizona murmured as she took a moment to appreciate just how magnificent Callie looked in her merlot-colored dress.
Callie rolled her eyes, reaching out for her wife's hand, pulling the blonde toward the exit. "Come dance with me, moron," she said, trying to hide the blush Arizona inspired even after all these years.
Arizona allowed her wife to pull her onto the dance floor. Still, Callie still never missed an opportunity to dance.
At a particularly slow song, holding each other close, Arizona laid her head on Callie's shoulder. "It seems Mark was right, after all," she whispered. "We're dancing at Sofia's wedding."
