The words were in their little bubble, attached to a picture of Arizona sprawled in bed like she’d just woken up. In all likelihood, that was the truth. It was taken from chest height, and she was half hidden under the comforter, but her hand was disappearing beneath a well placed corner of the comforter that laid directly over her crotch.
Callie bit her lip as she looked at it, eyes flicking up and around the room to ensure she wasn’t being watched before she texted back.
Good morning, indeed.

Summary
It’s the seventeenth of February 2017, and Callie Torres is doing well for herself in New York. She has a new orthopedic center, her daughter, and she has a life she’s fought like hell to get and hold securely with both hands.
That is, until an accident on an icy road changes everything. Now, she feels like she’s lost her whole life. She shrinks into herself, hides away from the world, even sends her daughter back to Seattle to be with the ex-wife she tries not to think about.
Nothing is the same and it never will be again.
Callie doesn’t know how to survive it, or even if she will.

That is, until her ex sends her daughter back to her without a word. Arizona calls, tries to figure it out, but there’s no reply. Eventually, with nothing from Callie for weeks, Arizona goes to find her with a fire raging inside her chest.
What she finds out there will forever change the course of her life, just like so many others.
But she can’t leave Callie to survive it alone.

“Shut up!” Blythe shouted, so close that she could practically taste Dixie’s perfume. “For once in your life, shut the hell up!”
“No!”
Their faces were so close, anger burning between them like a fuse, and suddenly, Blythe knew just how to stop Dixie from talking. She kissed her.

Or: Dixie comes to the Raleigh Estate to speak with Blythe, but it gets rather out of hand and they fight to top each other. That's the plot, more or less, though it is my extension of the teased tackle scene from a future episode.

Summary

That is, until two men drop into their lives with all the grace of a nuclear bomb. Unreliable, unstable, and undeniably wrong, James Flint and John Silver are sure to disrupt the life they’ve painstakingly rebuilt for themselves. They’re salt in the wound and impossible to figure out.
Worse, their tongues are sharp as knives, and Silver’s ruined leg is just like her own, meaning Arizona can't stay away. So, when Arizona starts helping them settle into the modern world, she doesn’t tell Callie. They’ve been through enough. It’s only for a few weeks, where’s the harm? But then it becomes more than that. And it threatens to tear them all apart.

Summary
Season nine is one of my favourite Grey's seasons (and the plane crash is one of my favourite storylines), but I completely believe that they could have handled Arizona and Callie's storylines and relationship better. Callie was WAY pushy and Arizona needed some hardcore therapy.
So... after a lot of research and some stubbornness that I can't quite shake, I've chosen to take matters into my own hands on this re-watch. yay!
they should be in order too, even if the publishing dates aren't, because i've been flitting about a bit in the season.
