Jungkook knows he's privileged.
And by privilege , he's not referring to all these big companies, money from generation after generation of the prestigious Jeon family of which he is a part of and most probably the next heir for another generation. Logically of course he is but he's never been so smugged about it . He's humble , as people say , goes to University , gives donations on his birthday each year and also teaches art to younger kids on weekends. He doesn't use his privilege as people think he would.
Except in one situation.
He's in the final year of University and just after his graduation, he'd join his father's company . So as his parents suggested , he's been coming to the company now and then to get adjusted to the environment, learn from his father and officials , join meetings and doing a few tasks here and there ,you know the general stuff. At first he wasn't that much interested but an incident or more precisely a person has put a magnet on his back which always drags him out of his house to here.
That said person's name is Min Yoongi. Jungkook met Yoongi almost a year ago. The meeting situation wasn't very ideal as he was being rescued out of the company as Yoongi and his team evacuated the building when a fire was started in the basement floor.
Jungkook may or may not have fallen in love with Mr. Yoongi right then. Even though he was wearing a very ugly orange coloured uniform ,face smudged with ash and sweaty hair falling over his small forehead , Jungkook thought he was the knight in shining armour of his life.
Since that day , Jungkook got a new enthusiasm to go to the company, which according to his bestfriend Jimin , is very stupid and he's gotten out of his mind. But what can he do when Jungkook learns that Yoongi's fire agency is just one block away from their building , which by the way falls in his new route from home to office. If he bribed his driver to take the other route than his usual , nobody is going to know.
He tries his hardest not to peek out his head and look through the glass window at the agency while he's passing by but he pouts like a kicked puppy he doesn't spot Yoongi each day. Even if he's sure Yoongi's shift starts half an hour before he passes by. And if he's taken all this information about Yoongi from Namjoon , a very talented computer expert , nobody is going to know. Jimin knows . Namjoon Knows .
" I can't do this Jungkook . Your father will fire me if he finds out . "
" No he won't. Please hyung please. Just once. "
" Don't give me those eyes . You know what you're doing. "
" Please hyung~ "
" Okay fine "
So that left him with only one choice. It was very frightening and thrilling at first but he got used to it. He is privileged that he's alive and eating and drinking, otherwise he would have been kicked out of this earth if he was just a regular worker of their company . It's been almost 6 months since his first experiment and today is the fourth one.

"You know, we've really got to stop meeting like this." Jungkook grins " At this point , I feel like we're meant to be , no coincidence anymore hahahaha "
"You literally evacuated this whole building with a fake fire alarm just so you could talk to me. Again." Yoongi speaks as he takes the younger boy to the medical van .
" What- i didn't- you " Jungkook tries to formulate some coherent words but all his trials go wasted as he is very much shocked and embarrassed.
" You ain't slick kid . First two times were kind of confusing but when it happened again and again , I kind of checked the cctv footage with full permission "
" I am not a kid " Jungkook pouts " and you're only 27 "
" How do you know ? " Yoongi lifts his eyebrow.
Jungkook feels he got caught again but tries to play it off , " you know like , I mean you kinda look older than me , so I don't know I am good at guessing people's age I guess "
Yoongi sighs, " and what part of the ' I know you're faking the fire alarm many times ' you didn't understand ? Should I tell your father ? You can't cut the CCTV footage again. The Head Security Jung has copied me the tape for your information "
This is what Jungkook was talking about. He knows he's doing something very bad. But at least he knows even if his father learns about it , he won't die . He feels very guilty using his power , also making a lot of other people panic . But for the first time in his life , he's dared enough to do something like this. Being reckless and taking off his good boy clothes. He wonders what's happening to him . Is he really deep in this ?
Is love making him do it all ?
" Back to earth kid " Yoongi pinches him on his arm and he does not look guilty when Jungkook yelps in pain.
" My name is Jungkook "
" I know and I am about to write a complaint against you at police station "
That's when Jungkook's eyes go big because telling his father one thing and a complaint at the police station is another thing.
" You won't do that, will you ? Please hyung don't do this , I am not going to do it again I swear you see "
" Did you just call me hyung ? "
" I am sorry , I shouldn't, I mean Mr. Min " Jungkook looks down at his lap .
" Do you promise you won't do it again ? Yoongi asks , voice gentle than before as he sits next to the younger.
" I promise. I just wanted to see you , I don't usually do this stuff you know " Jungkook feels his eyes are starting to sting . He can't cry in front of his crush . No he can't cry. All his effort will go wasted .
" Why did you want to see me ? "
" Cause I- " Jungkook stops. What should he say ? That he's in love with him and booked their wedding venue already ?
" I will tell you if you go out with me, " Jungkook says.
Real smooth , Jungkook , real smooth. He can already feel an invisible pat on his back by Jimin.
" What ? " Yoongi asks in surprise.
" A day out . You know like you can bring your friend and i will bring my friend and we can have some fun "
Jungkook literally sees the disappointed face of Jimin in front of his eyes.
" Why do you think I would agree and why would you ask me that ? " Yoongi stands up, wearing his gloves that he took off a while ago.
" I want to be your friend "
" ..."
" You're cool . I wanted to be a firefighter when I was young. " Jungkook gives his final try. His heart is breaking a little inside.
But maybe fortune is in favour of Jungkook because his last answer does work. Yoongi looks at Jungkook silently for a second and goes ," okay kid . If you say so , I will bring my friend too . We're free on saturday "
Jungkook almost jumps in his seat .
" Okay I will give you two a ride , thank you so much "
" But remember your promise , don't do it again " Yoongi lowered his voice .
" I won't " The younger one shakes his head from left to right.
Yoongi nods and wears his helmet , as his teammate calls his name from far . Jungkook is ecstatic and very very nervous that he almost forgot he doesn't have his name number ( he could have if he wanted, but he didn't go that far ,like please who would do that ?? Duh )
" Hyung "
" Our agency, 7pm Saturday " Yoongi shouts as he walks off .

Jimin is in fact disappointed with him.
" I can't believe you said that.Let's have some fun bla bla bullshit " the older one huffs and picks up a white shirt .
" Please Jimin, I can't ask him like hey you wanna go out with me cause I think you're very cool and I wanna have a family with you ? " Jungkook tries on his 15th shirt.
" Or you could have just said you wanted to hang out with him . Why did I have to go ? Just to be a third wheel ? "
" His friend is coming too, " Jungkook replies.
" That doesn't help my mood either " Jimin kicks Jungkook's butt , shoving him inside the bathroom with his final outfit that he has been trying on for over an hour.
An hour or later , both Jungkook and Jimin arrive at the front of Yoongi's agency. If they're exactly at 7:00 pm , Jungkook doesn't care. They have been waiting for only five minutes but each second feels like a century to Jungkook.
" What if he doesn't come ? "
" He will. And if he doesn't after agreeing then I have some ass to beat "
" Don't. His ass is nice "
" I swear to God Jungkook- " Jimin gets cut as Jungkook lets out a scream , which can be fortunately heard within their range only. The older one looks at his right and perhaps his jaw touches the ground too.
Without a uniform Min Yoongi looks very different. He's wearing black slacks with a tucked in black t-shirt and a dangly silver necklace suiting his outfit. Jungkook perhaps falls in love with him again. And as he can see the way Jimin gawking at his friend then he concludes he looks good too . But his focus is Yoongi and Yoongi only.
" Hi...you look beautiful " Jungkook blurts out as Yoongi and his friend reach near his car.
Yoongi's eyes go wide as his friend starts laughing. Jungkook gets shy too , rubbing the back of his neck as his ears turn red.
" He means come on , let's go. I am Jimin by the way and you ? " Jimin gives his best smile as Jungkook has known so far and directs the question at the friend of Yoongi.
" I am Taehyung. Nice to meet you and Jungkook " The friend, Taehyung grins . He really does have a beautiful face . Jungkook understands Jimin.
" I think we should go " Yoongi who has been silent this far finally speaks.
" Oh yes " Jimin and Jungkook both speak at the same time and the older one quickly retreats to the back seats taking Taehyung along with him. Which leaves Jungkook in his driver seat and Yoongi next to him.
Jungkook tries to calm down his thumping heart as Yoongi quietly takes his seat and starts the car. He hasn't taken the other cars , he is just using his college car that he really likes , nothing fancy.
Jungkook learns neither of them are actually small talk people. He doesn't understand how Taehyung and Jimin are already talking even if they have just met a few minutes ago. He punches some button and the radio starts playing. A R&B song starts filling the entire car and he guesses he can work like that.
A few minutes later , they arrive at the Barbeque restaurant . It is a nice place. Jungkook has been here a few times. All of them get out of the car and Jimin quickly runs to get a table . Taehyung joins him but Yoongi stays right there , till Jungkook locks the door .
" Thank you " Yoongi speaks as Jungkook stands next to him.
" For what ? "
" For earlier , you know when you arrive-" Jungkook thinks it's cute when Yoongi is stuttering and his cheeks are kind of turning red.
" Oh when I called you beautiful ? You are hyung." He smirks as the colour on the elder's cheeks deepens .
" Okay let's go , I am hungry " Yoongi runs off almost , leaving a grinning Jungkook with bubbly feelings.
They ordered food. A lot of food. Even if Yoongi debates that he should pay half of it because he's the eldest, nobody listens to him.
" Hyung I promise , this is my apology treat okay " Jungkook gives him a smile when Yoongi starts murmuring how the younger generation doesn't listen nowadays .
" What apology ?" Taehyung asks , mouth full of chicken as Jimin pours him a glass of Soju.
" I false alarmed four times "
" He broke my watch "
Taehyung looks confused as both Jungkook and Yoongi answer at the same time. Jimin knows but he stays silent , smirking a little.
" He broke my watch once when we're both walking in the opposite direction so he apologized . '' Yoongi answers quickly before Jungkook can and starts eating his food again.
Jungkook's heart physically aches and this pain isn't hurting. He's been so overwhelmed with his feelings for Yoongi and he can't believe it when all these feelings start getting stronger and stronger. Even if they haven't learnt much about each other , Jungkook feels like loving Yoongi won't be a regret. Not when the said male is looking at him with gentle eyes and cheeks more red because of the alcohol.
" So you said you're from Daegu- " Jimin breaks the silence and Jungkook mentally thanks him . Otherwise he would have cried right there because of how strongly he is falling for a person he barely knows. But he is ready to learn . He is ready to learn each and every thing about the older , what makes him smile, what movies he likes , what's his fear that he doesn't let others know.
Dinner was actually enjoyable and they promise to meet again even though Yoongi complains he doesn't really have time . Jungkook furrows his brows and threatens him and Yoongi exactly knows what he's talking about and sighs.
The return was more peaceful . This time all of them were talking , laughing at some jokes Taehyung tells and exposing kid Yoongi , embarrassing him . The latter also throws back some childhood stories and Jimin, like his usual self laughs , falls all over Taehyung.
Jungkook turns to his side and locks eyes with Yoongi. He's smiling and he looks pretty. He has this relaxed expression on his face that Jungkook can never grow tired of. Yoongi brings his hand and gently squeezes the younger's thigh , whispering a quiet thank you. Jungkook doesn't know if it's the alcohol talking but Yoongi looks comfortable with him and he has look on his eyes that tells him " don't worry kid , I got you "
Jungkook was born with a silver spoon , and never felt the lack of anything. He had everything and has everything. If you ask his younger self , what happiness is , he would say the iron man figurines collection he has back at home. But if you ask his 24 year old self the same question, he can answer now, happiness is realising how someone like Yoongi exists and how he brightens Jungkook's day and makes him smile and gives him butterflies.
Because happiness comes in all shapes and sizes but his happiness is 174 cm.
( And even if you know where he got that info, pretend you don't cause nobody knows )

Two weeks later
Jungkook waits outside the agency , as Yoongi packs his things up. Both of them are still busy but sometimes they meet afterward when Yoongi's shift ends. Sometimes they eat or drink coffee , sometimes they go to the dog park nearby. They know there is something between them. Yoongi doesn't hide his smiles anymore. Maybe if he looks at the younger as he has the universe in his eyes , Jungkook doesn't know it.
" What's the noise hyung ? " Jungkook asks as Yoongi stands next to him.
" Taehyung and his team heading to South street , Park and Co. " Yoongi answers.
" Wait ! Isn't that Jimin's hyung family company ? Is the fire big ? Is everyone safe , should I call him ? " Jungkook asks in worry.
" Don't worry kid . They don't need much time there "
" What do you mean ? "
" What I mean is maybe your friend likes Taehyung a little more and learnt some stupidity from you "
