“Let’s talk about sex.” Amelia announced looking across the table at Carina and then Maya. They were all outside having just had dinner at Meredith’s, even though the hostess was working at the hospital. It was one of the few clear nights Seattle had to offer and they were taking full advantage.
“Aren’t you a doctor? Don’t you know how sex happens?” Maya asked affectionately. She liked the neurosurgeon. But she also never looked away from the fire pit.
“What specifically do you want to talk about?” Carina chucked. “You know me, I am an open book when it comes to sex.”
“But I am not. So keep that in mind please.” Maya cautioned.
“How good is it?” Amelia asked either not hearing Maya or ignoring her. Probably ignoring her.
“Sex with a woman?” Carina clarified, knowing Amelia had shown curiosities in the past.
“Sex with each other! You guys are ridiculously attractive, the sex has to be good right?” Amelia asked looking at Teddy for validation.
“They are both very attractive..” Teddy agreed. “Amelia, is this your way of saying you fancy them both?” She winked.
“What? No! I mean…kind of?” Amelia hadn’t really realized it until then.
“Wait what?” Maya looked over at Carina, they had joked about Amelia’s crush. But that had been a joke.
“Relax, she’s not going to try and get you into bed” Teddy chuckled before looking seriously at Amelia. “You’re not right?”
“I wouldn’t say no.” Amelia shrugged.
“Oh my god. Are we being propositioned?” Maya asked looking at Carina.
“Not really.” Carina shook her head. “Are we?” She widened her eyes at her wife before staring at Amelia.
“Let’s just go back to my initial question. How is the sex? Then we can address the potential bi-curious nature of my interest.” Amelia said really wishing that she could drink.
“Sex with a woman is amazing. Sex with the right woman is earth shatteringly orgasmic” she teased.
“Sex with an orgasm expert? Even better.” Maya agreed.
“I hate you both. Sex with Link is good. Probably the best I’ve had but I feel like something is missing.”
“Something as in, something sexual? “
“Okay, as an example. Maya when you’re with Carina do you ever think of anything else? Anyone else?”
“What? No! Have you seen my wife?”
“Neither do I.” Carina confirmed. “I only have eyes for Maya.”
“See, I don’t always. I sometimes think about other fantasies.”
“And that’s okay too..” Carina reassured her. “You’re allowed to have fantasies and want to explore other sides of yourself.”
“You guys don’t.” Amelia protested.
“It’s different with Maya. We’re soulmates, I can’t explain it but being with her is like nothing I’ve ever had before. It’s a whole other level.”
Maya looked at her wife with a soft smile. She loved when Carina said stuff like that.
“Maybe you should try sex with a woman. It is life changing.” Maya shrugged.
“She’s right. It’s definitely something you should try. It might be what’s been kissing all along.”
“I can agree that sex with a woman really is mind blowing.” Teddy agreed.
“Whoa wait back up…explain.” Maya asked she didn’t know Teddy had slept with a woman.
“A long time ago...I was in a very serious relationship with a woman. Alyson. She was the love of my life.”
“Didn’t know that. I’m sorry.” Maya could tell by the look on Teddy’s face that Alyson has died.
“It’s okay..” she shook her head, blinking back a few tears. “It was a long time ago.”
Amelia wrapped her arms around Teddy.
“Maybe we should sleep together.” Amelia suggested with a laugh. She didn’t mean it, but she was hoping she’d get a laugh out of it.
“I am pretty good in bed” she grinned, returning Amelia’s hug.
“Should we leave you two alone?” Maya asked leaning against Carina.
Teddy shook her head. “She doesn’t want to sleep with me. Look at me” she gestured to her somewhat tired appearance. “She’s wants someone younger and hot who can show her a good time. Not a tired mom of two who can barely remember what an orgasm feels like these days.”
“Carina close your ears.” Maya warned before she got up and knelt down in front of Teddy. “Teddy, you are unbelievably attractive. A surgeon, a soldier, and a badass. If I weren’t happily married I would take you to bed in a heartbeat. But because I am happily married, I can tell you that my wife is really good at educating about orgasms.”
“Thank you.” Teddy sniffled at Maya’s words.
“That’s very sweet of you.”
“And honest. Cos damn, you’re hot.” Maya said getting up and going back to her chair.
“Wait, wait I feel tired and haven’t had an orgasm in a while too.” Amelia wanted in on the compliments, waving Maya over.
“You just want her to tell you you’re an attractive mom doctor too..” Teddy had drunk a lot and it showed.
“Carina, you’re up. You’re the one she has a crush on.” Maya suggested.
“Amelia. You are beautiful, inside and out..” Carina told her friend.
“You’ve suffered some awful trauma and heartache, and yet you are still the most giving and loving person. Any woman would be lucky to have you.”
“Aw I knew you wanted me.” Amelia said with a sniffle.
“Is it wrong I want to go back to talking about our sex life?” Maya asked wondering how this nighthad taken such a weird turn.
“It is pretty amazing huh?” Carina couldn’t hide her smirk.
“So good. I think you turned me into a sex addict.”
“In the best possible way though right?” she grinned.
“I mean it’s nice that I don’t have to go a day without sex.”
“You guys have sex everyday!? God I hate you.” Amelia groaned.
“How often do you and Link have sex?” Carina asked, turning her attention to her friend.
“Once every couple of weeks? With Scout we don’t always have time.”
“Once very couple of weeks? Really?” Carina was very surprised.
Maya looked at Carina, she couldn’t imagine going that long without sex with Carina. But they also didn’t have kids.
“I know. Just never in the mood anymore. Kinda wish the brain tumor comes back. At least I always wanted sex.”
“Please don’t say that sweetie..” Teddy felt bad for Amelia. “You don’t mean that.”
“no, your right, I don’t, I take that back.”
“Maybe you’d feel more in the mood with the right person?” Carina floated the idea.
“Maybe. Sorry for bringing the mood down guys.” Amelia said brushing her tears away.
“You didn’t.” Maya was quick to say before anyone else could beat her to it. “You didn’t bring it down, it’s good to be able to talk about how you’re feeling.”
“Hard not to question when I’m around you two and see what couples goals really are.” Amelia said looking at Maya and Carina. The way that they were so at ease with one another, their hands resting so naturally in one another’s.
“Have you considered the possibility that maybe Link isn’t the one for you?” Carina wasn’t sure if she was overstepping.
“I’ve been thinking that more and more. But he’s perfect. He’s an amazing father and he loves me. What if I don’t find something like that again?”
“If it’s meant to be with someone else, it will happen..” she promised. “I can’t say how or when, but it will.”
“Do you guys really have sex every day? Like, every, single day?!” Amelia asked.
“Most days.” Carina confirmed with a nod.
“Unless we’re working. Then we have to get creative.” Maya said thinking of the many occasions of office sex that had happened.
“Amelia, seriously. You deserve to be sexually satisfied and it sounds like that isn’t happening at all right now.”
“Could you just start your study again? Just a daily pick me up might be nice.” Amelia said.
“You don’t need my study to give yourself a daily pick me up..” Carina reminded her friend.
“I can’t believe you watched her orgasm.” Maya said in disbelief.
“I didn’t watch her bella” Carina reminded her, not wanting Maya to be jealous. “We use privacy screens.”
“You watched her brain. Seems more intimate.” Maya offered.

“I didn’t really know her back then..” Carina defended her wife.

“You think you could sit behind a privacy screen with me in the next room masturbating and not come help?” Maya teased.

Amelia asked eyeing Maya up and down.
“I’m not taking my shirt off to you Amelia.” Maya cautioned.
“The things I could tell you about her body” Carina knew she was teasing but couldn’t help it. “But that is all for me” she winked.
“Oh come on! Just a glimpse?” Amelia pleaded. Maya looked at Carina eyebrow raised. Maya was not shy about her body.
“It’s not up to me to dictate what my wife does with her body.” She smirked.
“Alright, shirt off, please?” Amelia, leaned back in her chair.
“Teddy help.” Maya pleaded having gotten no help from Carina.
“You don’t have to, she’s only teasing.” Teddy reassured the blonde.
“Everyone deserves a little fun though right?” Maya asked looking at Amelia. The neurosurgeon had the smile on her face that only she seemed to be able to get away with.
“Yup.”
“Fair enough” Teddy wasn’t sure she would have done the same but maybe that was just her.
“Maybe you should buy a firefighter calendar.” Maya suggested. “You know if firefighters are your thing.”
“She has eyes. Firefighters are everyone’s thing when they look like you bambina” Carina couldn’t keep her eyes off her wife.
“I think that if you saw 19’s calendar that would change your mind real quick.” Maya offered turning red just thinking about it.
“What does the calendar look like? I don’t think I’ve ever seen it..” Teddy wondered what they looked like.
“It’s tragic. We were trying to raise money. Vic made us all pose. And it was…so embarrassing. But Firefighter calendars are pretty common fundraising tools.”
“Oh I’m sure it raised a lot of money for the station.”
“We didn’t end up needing them and I don’t think any of us were sad when they went up in flames.” Maya mused. She could see the curious look in her wife’s eye. She might have to show Carina one of these days.
“You still have one though right? Cos I need to see that” Carina grinned.
“I do. But you’ll never find it.” Maya was really good at hiding things.
“I’m sure I can find a way to persuade you” she winked.
“Hey what about us?” Amelia asked, mock outrage in her voice.
“I only have eyes for one woman” Carina didn’t take her eyes off her wife.
“I think they’re about to go home and have hot sex.” Amelia said with a sense of disappointment.
“It would be rude for me to refuse my beautiful wife hot sex” she grinned.
“Shall we call it a night with the promise to do this again?” Maya asked her body responding to the idea of going home to sex with Carina.
“Fine! But I want details later.” Amelia insisted.
“I think someone is in danger of getting a little too involved in our sex life..” Carina teased. “Sex with my wife? Those details are just for us. But if you have questions about sex with a woman, ask me. I’ll answer anything you like.”
“But I want details about sex with your wife! Let me love vicariously.” Amelia whined following Maya and Carina to the door.
“No can do bambina, but like I said, questions? Ask me tomorrow and I’ll tell you.” She knew they had a long shift together.
“Get outta here both of you. Drive safely.” Amelia said with a kind smile.
“Hey, you only call me that.” Maya said with the most adorable pout Carina had ever seen.
“No pouting allowed.” she leaned close to kiss Maya’s adorable face.
“Mm fine. But you better make it up to me at home.” Maya said kissing Carina back more heated than was probably appropriate for their friend’s porch.
“Oh I will, in every, single way.”
