Izuku hates going outside of his dorm. He'll go out for food, the gym, and classes, and maybe breaks, but he hardly leaves his room.
It's not that he's insecure, but when you are 6'8, have muscles that could snap a person in half, and a resting bitch face, you tend to gain a lot of attention. Izuku hates attention.
He'll do anything to not bring attention to himself.
