Work Text:
As the rain poured upon the country of lightning, a thundering scream was let out. A lady rushed over to his side, holding him while tears streamed down her face. Or was it the rain?
While his sight was blurry, he was able to see her clearly. Her hair, white as snow, and eyes deeper than any part of the sea.
“Ah. An angel.” Said the fellow in her arms.
He weakly smiled at her, slowly bringing his hand up to her cheek. He held her gently.
“My lady, why must you cry? You are an angel, so please, smile once more. You mustn’t cry for someone as weak as me…” His sight began to fade, his fiery red vision beginning to flicker.
“My lady, there is something I must tell you.” The lady by his side nodded frantically, trying to wipe the tears from her face while sobbing uncontrollably. He looked at her right in her eyes.
“I apologize, my lady. The truth is that I’ve always loved you. Even if you’d never look my way, I loved you sincerely. I’m sorry my confession was less than ideal, it seems there’s no time to hold back. I will always love you my lady…” The man looked back to the sky above them, so bleak and colorless. His eyes finally closed, hand falling back to the ground, and soon after, his vision reflected the sky.
The lady let out a blood-curdling cry.
