(This is a revised version of the original fanfiction that I posted on Wattpad in early 2020. I hope I wrote it slightly better and less cringy than the last.)

This fanfiction is a spin-off of the hit anime series My Hero Academia/Boku No Hero Academia, written by Kohei Horikoshi. I do not claim ownership of the universe this story is based in, only the characters I have created and the plot that this story follows.

The story takes place approximately 20 years after the War Arc in the canon manga. It includes all information from the animated series, as well as the first movie: "A Tale of Two Heroes." I have decided not to include the latest movie, "Heroes Rising" due to some of the drastic changes made to the main characters in that timeline. However, I have added some details currently mentioned in the manga series, especially ones involving the character Hitoshi Shinso.

This fanfiction follows the adventures of my main ship, which is Hitoshi Shinso (Horokoshi's design), and my Original Character, Andeddo Heishi. Current ship name is [BrainDead]

It does include some of my other ships from this universe, ones that you may not like. (I'm a multi-shipper, so my ships are pretty diverse and I usually choose ones that make the characters happy. I do not ship-hate unless it makes for a toxic or abusive relationship, and I do not accept pedophilia. Age changes might be acceptable.)

I also involve side characters that either I or my friends have created. Many of the side characters you see are other OCs that I created and never got to use, most of which have their own backstories that may or may not play into a side-plot in the fanfiction. If you want any extra information about the characters, though I doubt anyone will care, I have everything from backstories, quirk details, weapon arsenals, character bios, outfit designs, to detailed maps of certain areas in the story that might help you visualize the scene.

I am willing to take requests if you would like me to design you an OC or include one of yours in this story. I can also write a chapter completely for that said character if requested. This applies to people who either can't or do not want to write stories themselves.

This fanfiction is written in "Scenes" which aren't actual chapters, but are named that way for convenience. This means that time passes off-screen that can't be written in due to difficulties in circumstances or time shortages, and they aren't always connecting. This also means that characters may meet in scenes that aren't visibly written, allowing them to spend more time together.

This story also changes perspective regularly, allowing the situations and characters to be seen from different points of view. This is shown by the bold names in brackets. For Example: [Andeddo], [Shinso], or [Third Person] if it's out of character perspective.

*I like to use Andeddo's first name in perspective changes because I'm American, and that's the name I recognize him by. I use Hitoshi's last name because of Japanese customs and because that's the name everyone in the anime and fandom uses to refer to him.

Original Plot Details

- In the current time frame, the ratio of people born with quirks has dropped to 60%, increasing crime and social issues related to quirkless persons. (AKA, an excuse for half of my nameless criminals to be less of a problem for me to fabricate individual quirks and fighting scenes.)

- Due to the loss of the legendary All For One, villains internationally have lost both their most feared figurehead and the bane of all Heroes. This led to a much reduced publicizing of villain activity. 70% of all villains and criminals now work in the dark, avoiding public areas and fading into the background. The villains that still cause trouble are the typical speed-based cat thieves and psychopaths with no sense of impulse control. Speed and strength-based quirks are the most common among these criminals, while those with intelligence and complex quirks often operate behind the scenes.

- My AU has its own time-dating system. Y'know that glowing baby who was basically acknowledged as the first instance of quirks in the MHA universe, whom the general fandom has dubbed 'Jesus'? Well, the introduction of quirks became the new time marker for society in this world, as MHA doesn't really have a relevant religion. The calendar is officially referred to as 'AI' or 'Ante Illustrationem' and 'PI' or 'Post Illuminatio' respectively, meaning 'Before Enlightenment' and 'After Enlightenment' in Latin. (Therefore, the current year at the beginning of the story will be 775 PI.)

Semi-Canon Plot Details

- Everything about this is fanon. I don't like canon angst and losing good side characters to bullshit plot armor.

- BNHA movie [Heroes Rising] is not canon in my universe. Although Class 1A did have the vacation to the island, Nine did not appear and the Shimano siblings were rescued from something or someone else. (I don't like the idea of Deku sharing OFA or the drama of the whole fight. It had good graphics and plot, but it just seemed like a really stupid concept. Plus, it's not canon to the original manga.) [World Heroes] is not yet included in this AU due to a lack of research. (Listen, I have no time for binging this-)

- AFO is dead, erased from existence in very-not-cold blood by none other than Izuku Midoryia. (Not a Dad for One AU. They are unrelated here.) Don't ask me how this happened, as AFO supposedly took over Tomura Shigaraki's body in the manga. I don't have a solid answer to that. Let's just say there was a way to separate the foreign soul/vestige from Shiggy's body with a special quirk.

- Izuku Midoryia returned to UA after AFO was killed, finishing his term until he graduated the Hero Course with Shinso and the rest of Class 1A. (Hitoshi Shinso was admitted to the Hero Course shortly after Midoryia left.) Aoyama and Hagakure were redeemed of their betrayal after aiding Midoryia in his efforts to defeat AFO and the former MLA, although they were both formally expelled from UA and stripped of their Hero Licenses/titles.

- AFO (the quirk) has been fully transferred to Shigaraki, who is now the leader of the LOV. (I still call it the LOV, although the Paranormal Liberation Front/Meta Liberation Army is canon in the manga. Let's just say they went back to LOV after AFO died and Shiggy took over.) Kurogiri, who is now known as Oboro Shirakumo, was released from custody and willingly chose to return as an assistant to Shigaraki. He still keeps in contact with Aizawa and Yamada, and they all return to being friends.

- Dabi made up with Shouto and most of the other Todorokis in secret. (Ex. Fumiko, Natsuo, and Rei) Enji knows his true identity, but they don't talk, and any time they see each other, Dabi still tries to roast the living mackerel out of him. Honestly, there's no fixing that dysfunctional family.

- Hitoshi's biological parents in my AU are based on this fanon concept. (Insomnia quirk + touch-based mind control quirk.) His mother and father live separately due to his father's work schedule. He grew up with his mother but lost contact with her after moving into UA's student dorms. (I was debating whether or not to have them divorced, but couldn't find a good enough reason.) Hitoshi Shinso and Eri were officially adopted into the Aizawa family after the war ended. (Kota was adopted by a non-hero couple, who are currently unnamed. Unless anyone has a better suggestion. I'm open to ideas.)

- Kota Izumi, Eri Aizawa, and Katsuma Shimano were admitted into UA a few years after the main class graduated. Eri and Kota graduated from Class A's Hero Course, while Katsuma graduated from the Support Course and ended up becoming UA's next resident nurse, with his sister Mahoro being his medical assistant. (She doubles as the school therapist/counselor. She can use her quirk to calm her patients and also maybe knock them out.)

- Recovery Girl peacefully retired but is still living on-campus as a resident advisor in the head staff. She often does special favors for her favorite (NON-SUICIDAL) former patients.

- Most major characters that were killed in battle are still alive. (Don't have a full list yet.) Characters like Aizawa and Mirko will have full prosthetics and are now retired but can be considered support Heroes if a need arises. Gran Torino was basically crippled to the point of permanent retirement -> Vigilante Deku was gifted his damaged cape as a sort of memoir/mantle.

- Students involved throughout the plot are still alive. Camie is unharmed, along with two other unnamed victims who were kidnapped by Toga/the LOV for their IDs. They were returned to their respective schools and continued each of their careers with minimal trauma.

- Kurogiri, the reanimated corpse of Oboro Shirakumo, still has the memories and personality of his original host. However, he has no emotional attachment to either Aizawa or Yamada, and therefore does not wish for his body to be changed or to leave the LOV for them. This conflicts with him, as he has the innate personality of a sensitive caregiver, and is very protective of people. He feels guilty for "taking" the friend that they lost, and will sometimes visit them to give them some kind of closure. (Shigaraki gave him a sort of shapeshifting or illusionary quirk to go out in public.)

My Accepted Theories

- Inko Midoryia and Nana Shimura are related, making Izuku and Tomura a really screwed-up pair of cousins.

- Himiko Toga and Neito Monoma are estranged siblings. (Along with the rich family changing their name after Toga's homicide incident.)

- [Mari Antoinette Syndrome is a syndrome in which the hair of a person turns white due to trauma/abuse or experiencing things that are too stressful for the brain to process.] In my AU, this applies to both Tomura Shigaraki/Tenko Shimura and Dabi/Touya Todoroki. (Touya's hair was originally red and later turned silver/white before he dyed it black.)

- Adult Pro Hero Katsuki Bakugo is half-deaf due to his quirk. He hasn't fully lost his hearing, but he does have damage due to the shock of his close-range explosions and past injuries. He requires hearing aids in and out of battle, but can function without them in society. (His yelling has also been toned down mildly due to his lack of hearing.)

[More Details not pertaining to Plot]

In my world, Kota is a Pro Hero. He has a couple of support items that help him with his quirk, and they have all sorts of functions.

One is his gauntlets, which are attached to storage tanks on his back by long bubbly black plastic tubes. They focus the stream of water from his hands into a jet, cone, or any other shape that a water hose nozzle could create. Certain gestures with his hands trigger certain styles. They also have a function that can either heat or freeze the water to a certain temperature that the user sets as it comes out of the dispensers, making them perfect for any climate or situation.

The second is the aforementioned storage tanks he wears on his back, connected to his suit by straps. They can store the water from his hands through the tubes connected to his gauntlets and keep it at room temperature, ready to be dispersed at the user’s command.

I have a Happy Ending AU to this story, which may or not become canon in the future. (Depending on how many years I end up writing this.) Slightly more wholesome and fanon than the original.

- Eri uses her mastered quirk to reverse All Might's injury & Midoryia's scars, cure Bakugo's deafness, and bring Twice back to his original body before he began cloning. Aoyama and Hagakure have their quirks removed so they can live normally. Ragdoll's quirk is returned to her by Shigaraki. (By request of Andeddo, of course.)

- Andeddo goes back in time to save Nighteye, due to the importance of his quirk, and later gives up his life of slaughter to join Detective Naomasa in his Police Agency, dedicating his work and gathering of information to the people. (Rather than the Hero Agencies or the Government.)

- If possible, Inko will legally adopt EVERY member of the LOV (and my villain OCs) under false names and documents presented by Andeddo, and no one can tell me shit about it.]
