You frown, feeling another cry rise up in your chest, but you ignore it. Childe pulls you closer to him, and you snuggle into his naked chest. The whiff of his cologne comforts you, and you find yourself relaxing in his embrace.
"We aren't good for each other," you mumble.
He presses a loving kiss to your head, caressing your hair, "I know."
"But we can't seem to stay away from one another for long."
With a sigh, he murmurs, "I know that, too."
In which your lover pours the gasoline and you light the match. He then leaves it up to you to decide whether you would rather die at the hands of his fire, or suffocate for eternity, unable to exhale the fumes of endless regret.
