"So what's it like to finally be away from your six annoying roommates?" Jay's voice came from the phone and Sunghoon chuckled
"It's pure bliss!" The boy exclaimed falling into the familiar comfort of his plush bed that he'd used for most of his life.
"You only say that cause there's no Jake around to steal all your chicken anymore, you protein fiend." Jay said, brief shuffling coming from the other line.
"Actually I'm more thrilled that you're not crawling upto my bed at ungodly hours cause there's a bug in your bed."
"It's a legitimate fear, mister scared of vr!"
"That was ONE TIME!"
"Whatever, I hope Gaeul pees in your bed tonight!" Jay cursed at Sunghoon making him gasp dramatically.
"My sweet baby Gaeul would never! I hope you choke on your expensive cutlery!" Sunghoon said as Gaeul perked up on the bed and started to sniff Sunghoon's face.
"Gaeul no!" Sunghoon chided the puppy.
"Oh is that Gaeul? I haven't seen her in so long." Jay said
"I'll send you a selca later" Sunghoon giggled softly as Gaeul nuzzled into his neck
"But I want to see her in person." Sunghoon could practically imagine Jay's pout that he would have kissed away if Jay was with him right now.
"Come over some time then."
"Thought you didn't want me there?"
"I don't, but Gaeul wants to see you I guess." Sunghoon said and Jay hummed
"Alright you tsundere, if you can't say it I will." Jay said with a chuckle "I miss you."
"I mean I guess you're more comfortable to hug than a pillow." Sunghoon teased
"I'm hanging up!"
"No don't go!" Sunghoon sat up panicked "I love you Jongseongie and I miss you too!" He said cutely into the phone. Fully utilising the aegyo tips that he'd gotten from Sunoo.
"Now that wasn't so bad to admit was it?" Jay questioned with a deep chuckle that sent shivers down Sunghoon's spine. He let out a small sound of agreement.
"So how's the family?" Sunghoon asked
"Oh they're great but I think they might like Riki more than they like me!" Jay said with a scoff into the phone making Sunghoon giggle
"No I'm not kidding Sunghoonie! Last night for dinner mom grilled extra meat for him... and today dad took him out to play golf!" Jay whined into the phone "He said he tried to wake me up but I don't believe him!"
"To be fair, you do sleep like a rock." Sunghoon chuckled "remember that one time Jungwon had to blast Drunk-Dazed on full volume to wake you up but you still slept through two thirds of the song?"
"Hard to forget when you keep reminding me." Jay grumbled pulling more laughter out of his boyfriend.
"How's your family?" Jay asked
"Oh you know, the usual. Mom complaining about how I've lost so much weight and dad making fun of all the embarrassing aegyo content we filmed." Sunghoon said, Jay cringed on the other side of the line. He knew how that felt.
"But my sister is the worst!" Sunghoon complained "I brought her one of our signed albums right? She downright shamed me for bringing my own album instead of BTS, TXT or Seventeen sunbaenim's"
Jay burst out laughing at this making a sleeping Ni-ki groan. He quickly covered his mouth to suppress his laughter in order to not inconvenience the sleeping maknae.
"Yah! Is this funny to you?!" Sunghoon chided
"I mean, if I was your sister I'd have probably done that too!" Jay said quietly tiptoeing out of his room to not disturb Ni-ki further.
"She even pulled out my photocard and was disappointed because' and I quote" Sunghoon proceeded to speak in a high voice to imitate his little sister " 'I've seen your face for 15 whole years, what am I going to with this? Why couldn't you get me an album that had Sunoo oppa's poca?' Like the audacity of that child!?"
Jay was almost rolling on the floor with laughter at this point. The way Sunghoon explained the situation was just adorably hilarious. He wished he was there to see everything that went down. He wished he was there with Sunghoon.
"I miss you!" Jay said once again after his laughter died down
"What's with the sudden tone change?" Sunghoon said "I miss you too but hey, in two more days we'll be going back to work and you'll have to see me everyday!"
"Two days and I'll be home."
"Wow so your parents house isn't home? I'm gonna tell your mom."
"Please don't, they might disown me and adopt Riki if you do." Jay said making Sunghoon chuckle.
"It's getting late," Sunghoon said glancing at the clock "it's 10:30, that's way past your bedtime."
"I'm a fully grown adult?" Jay said taking mock offence
"You're a fully grown adult that sleeps at 9:30pm." Sunghoon supplied "Sleep Jay-ah we'll talk tomorrow."
"You too Sunghoon. I hope you're getting some good rest."
"I am, although I'd prefer to have your cuddles."
"I can come over..."
"No! Two more days Jay-ah"
"Fine! Good night Hoon."
"Good night Jongseong, I love you!"
"I love you too!"
And with that the line disconnected making Sunghoon sigh. He already missed Jay and it seems he won't be falling asleep anytime soon now that he feels the absence of Jay's warm cuddles and the obnoxious snores that lulled him to sleep.
Maybe he could stay up awhile and play video games until he tired himself out. That sounded like a solid plan so Sunghoon booted up his laptop, wondering in the back of his mind if Heeseung was perhaps having a late night gaming session too, his suspicions were proven true when he saw the green circle by Heeseung's profile in league of legends.
If this was the dorm and Jay was there, he'd have most definitely given the two a earful for staying late and playing games. They had only been apart for a week and Sunghoon was already going through Jay withdrawal.
Sunghoon sighed running a hand through his hair and focused on his video game though thoughts of Jay and the members still plagued his mind.
His gaming session however only lasted for about ten minutes before his little sister very rudely interrupted him.
"Oppa, there's a crazy person trying to throw stones at your window but mising!" Yeji said piquing Sunghoon's interest.
Someone was throwing stones at his window? He glanced towards the only window in his room in time to catch a stone skim right above his window and hit the roof probably.
What idiot was throwing stones in the middle of the night. Sunghoon paused his game and got up to peak over the window only to find a familiar looking face, dressed from head to toe in black staring back at him.
"Jay?!"
"Let me in?" The brunette asked sheepishly
