   Summary

   He’s awake with the sun, as per usual. Steve is a morning person, he’s always been a morning person, and if he lies in bed too long he gets this restless itch under his skin that can only be scratched by getting up and moving. Except, when he opens his eyes and finds the sunshine filtering in through the semi-translucent sheers to spill across the bed, across Bucky, he doesn’t mind so much.

   “Hi,” Steve murmurs, reaching out for the hand resting between them on the mattress. Bucky’s callouses scrape against his own, their fingers intertwining. Steve squeezes, and Bucky squeezes back.

   “Hi,” Bucky breathes back.
