Chapter 1 – Sunday – The beginning
It was beautiful and peaceful summer morning in Titans Tower. The birds were singing, the sun was shining, the sea was rustling calmly. The ubiquitous silence was only disturbed by the sound of red wine’s drops, gripping from the overturned glass and breathing of two sleeping titans. They was sleeping in the unaware, that the next events will be the beginning of the end of a certain chapter in their lives.
This calm picture suddenly shattered by the loud sound of the ring and the big letters “INCOMING CALL” appeared on a big screen on the TV in front of suddenly very awake titans.
Raven jumped in her seat, and she saw out of the corner of her eye, that the green cat was scuttling under the couch. She realized where she was and what was going on and jawed. Then she lazy picked up the call.
- They come back! - the full of energy and happiness Cyborg appeared on the screen. He was driving in his car and Bee was sitting next to him in the passenger seat.
- Hey-ah Rae! - she greeted her.
- What? - Raven said, still half-asleep.
- Robin and Star! Today they coming home! From Tamaran!
- WHAT?! - they are coming back? Today? She was full awake now but she regretted her instant outburst. She had hangover.
- Yes! I get the message from them and they will be there in the evening! As soon as I get know about it, I get in the car to be in Tower on time! We will be there soooooon – he sang.
- What? Are you driving here? - she said in panic.
- Yeah, of course! - he answered and she rolled her eyes. Soon, her quiet and peacefully tower will be place full of people, again. Wonderful.
- Ok, I have to disconnect for now. Go wake up BB! Wait!… why are you in pajamas?
- Whats the time?
- Soon it’ll be 11 a.m.
- Ugh…
- Anyway. I’ve gotta go for now. See you soooon – he said and disconnected.
- Fuck – she just said and fell on the couch.
- I think we should clean up – she herd Beast Boy’s hoarse voice. She looked up to see his green face leaning out of the seat-back of the couch.
- Probably.

- Ok, so you know, I have a little request for you – Cyborg said embarrassed in small voice, avoiding eye contact.
He came here with Bumble Bee about hour ago and then he wanted to “Talk with them about something important”.
- Actually, it’s not good term for that, more likely “friendly favor”? - he continued with nervous smile on his face. Raven and Beast Boy were staring at him with the same annoyed look and crossed arms.
- Sooo… what’s that “friendly favor”? - Beast Boy said impatient. They knew perfectly what he wanted from them.
- You know… it will be very nice if you probably could not tell Robin about my temporary absence in the Tower – yeah… bull’s eye!
- Ah.. you mean, that “temporary” almost one year absence? - Raven said with sarcastic smile.
- It wasn’t that long… it was more like emm… ten and a half month.
- I have enough – Raven said and turned around. She was still mad at him for yesterday (author note: you will read about it in the following chapters :) ).
- Ok, ok, I’m sorry Rae-ven. But please, Robin will kill me, when he found out about it! - he wouldn’t going to cry, right?
- And we care about it because? - She was sick of it.
- You are my precious friends? - He said unsure.
- Cyborg, you left me here, alone with Beast Boy for one fucking year! It was your responsibility to take care for this Tower not us! - she was pissed off now and her headache was growing harder now.
- Wait a moment, but what about Kid Flash, he was supposed to be here as well.
- Please... – Raven rolled her eyes
About year ago Starfire and Robin had to go to Tamaran. It was strictly related with putting theirs relationship in the next level. In short, they wanted to get married, but it was not that simple, when you were a princess. To achieve Tamaranians traditions, they decided to go to Tamaran to complete the fiancée formalities. Thanks to the global network that Titans created and rapid respond system, the most dangerous criminals were in prisons and the crime rate lowered. They was in stable situation and they allowed themselves to left the Earth for some time. Cyborg was appointed by Robin to take a role of temporally leader of the “original Titans”. The team of three people was not enough, so Wonder Boy ordered Kid Flash to help. After that, they left.
First month wasn't special, they lead a normal life like always. Few criminals tried to take advantage of the absence of Titans leader but was defeated very quickly. However, there was no need to wait long for changes. The old proverb says: when the cat is gone the mice are playing around. When Kid Flash started to got bored and noticed he wasn’t necessary all the time, he just said “if you need me, call me and I will arrive in the blink of an eye” and with that he was gone. The next one was Cyborg. The Titan East asked for his help with some mission and he went away. With time, his adventures with Titan East was more often and longer and finally he didn’t come back. That way, Raven and Beast Boy stayed alone in Titans Tower. First of all it was huge disaster, never-ending nightmare. They fought all the time, argued for the smallest things, only to had some pause in the periods when they just didn’t speak to each other. In the second month, step by step, they began to got along. Half of the year later they used to the situation, understood each others more, enjoyed their time together and even had some fun. There still fought from time to time but they quickly dealt with their problems, but otherwise they were inseparable now.
- Ok, fine – Beast Boy finally said.
- What? - Raven was shocked that he let it goes so fast.
- Cy, we’ll not say word to Robin – he continued – but, we're not gonna cover you up. If he guesses, we won't deny it. That's it.
- Thank you, thank you, thank you – Cyborg took them in embrace and was practically crying for happiness – I am in your debt!
- Just shut up and let me go! - Raven tried to free herself from big man’s grip.

- You getting married?! - Cyborg yelled – In a week!? That's crazy!
- We have enough of waiting – Robin said calmly and take the next bite of his pizza – ah… I missed that taste so much.
All the titans was sitting now on the couch in the main room and was eating ordered pizza. Starfire and Robin arrived some time ago and after all greetings and welcoming Robin said that he couldn’t wait to eat Earth’s food. Nobody blamed him, when you imagined leaving in Tamaranian cuisine for so long. They was eating in peace and cheat chatting like in an old times, until Robin announced that he and Star were going to get married next Sunday! Everyone knew that they were going to do it in the near future, but not in such short time! It was shock for everyone.
- Star, it’s that true? - Bumble Bee said a little unsure.
- Yes, friend Bee - Starfire answered – we know that we do not have a lot of the time, but I am sure that with the help of our friends it will be possible.
- If you are planning intimate party that can be - Cyborg said – How much guest do you plan to invite?
- About tree hundred – Robin announced as if it was not big deal.
- It’s a joke, right?! - Cyborg was frightened now.
- No, we have everything under control, so don’t worry – Robin was confident - Being a lieder of Titans have some benefits, you know. Anyway Cyborg, I have some favor... It’s a big deal, so I hope you agree – he was a little nervous now.
- Ask for anything – Cyborg said with toothy smile.
- I will be honored, if you agree to be my best men! So.. what do you say? - Wonder Boy wasn’t have to wait long for an answer.
- Of course, bro! - He said with joy - Thanks for your trust! I do my best. - He hugged him.
- Actually I have the same request – Starfire said timidly, then she looked at Raven.
“Oh, no” – it was all she could thought, then Star came up with her and took her hands – Raven, we’re not very alike and I know that you don’t like to celebrate with us, sometimes it’s very hard to me to understand you but I know you for so long, that I’m sure that I can call you my sister. Can you be my maid of honor? - Starfire was piercing her with bright, puppy eyes and she knew, that she wasn’t capable to say “no” to her. She started to got soft recently…
- Ok, Starfire, I will be your maid of honor with pleasure – She said politely with small smile.
- That's wonderful, friend Raven! – alien princess was floating – We have so much to do! We have to visit the florists and the dresser of the hair, and choose the dress and the cake and... - it occurred to Raven, that she did not know, what she agreed to.
- And the is also one detail – Robin interrupted her - In Tamaran it’s a bad luck if the best man and maid of honor go to the wedding alone, so…. I hope you have you dates – he winked to Raven.
