Levi Ackerman knew that he was staring at his phone's screen for how many minutes already. Though that thought didn't make him stop what he was doing. He was lying lazily on his king-sized bed. The sun was already setting on the large window of his bedroom in his condominium. The city was noisy with its people buzzing around during the busy hour.
But he was just there, still busy on his phone. His dark eyes almost scowled at the article he was reading.
Worldwide Superstar and Famous Actor Hange Zoë Caught With A Lover?
The famous actress Hange Zoë was seen in a known café with a mysterious man. It wasn't known yet to who the mystery man was, but coming from the people who spotted them, it was said that the two seemed to be very close. Fans were already starting to speculate who it was.
Of course, Levi thought. What were the odds that Hange would be caught in broad daylight with a so-called lover? The pictures were blurry but Hange's outstanding figure was very obvious. She was smiling happily and beautifully in them. Levi wanted to scream.
He was contemplating on sending her a text message. He wanted to ask about it but he didn't want to pry more. Something along the lines of Hey, you're on the headlines again Shitty Glasses! Or maybe, Four-Eyes what the fuck?
Or maybe he could ask about the television series that was offered to him earlier that he heard she was also offered to be part of. You know, to appear professional. He didn't know whether she accepted the role or not so he didn't give an exact answer to the producers yet.
Being an actor was actually one of Levi's dreams when he was young. He loved his job even though the fame came with disadvantages such as invasion of his privacy or being unable to do normal things that people would normally do.
He was good at being an actor. He won a lot of awards for his work, in different events and different years. He was already named one of the most successful and famous actors in the entertainment industry in Hollywood.
They came from a long way back- both him and Hange. He remembered back when they were in highschool. The two of them were in a rock band together, with their friend Mike.
Levi was the vocalist, Hange was the guitarist while Mike was the drummer. Those were fun times. They were not as known as they were today but still, the people in their school liked them. Even with his scowling and rude face, Hange's wild eccentricities and Mike's silent demeanor.
They were a group to reckon with. But Hange had bigger dreams.
"Someday, I'm gonna be a famous actor worldwide!" Hange screamed to the space when the three of them were resting on the rooftop of their school building.
Mike snickered beside Levi, both boys watching their friend. "That's going to be hard."
Hange turned to face them and pouted, "Mike, don't you want to be an actor? Or maybe a musician?"
Their tall friend sniffed, "Not sure. Maybe not for now."
It wasn't a real surprise, since Mike's family was expecting him to take their business someday. He was the only child in his family, so there was no one else that they could count on.
"How about you, Levi?" Hange turned to Levi, her face was ecstatic and hopeful that Levi couldn't help but stare.
Levi always liked whenever Hange was like this- happy with her eyes twinkling with hope and her smile so big and wide. It was hypnotizing. "I guess it's not bad."
Hange's face brightened more with his answer. "Right? Right? Right? Just imagine the roles we could do! It's exciting! And-" Hange took his hand, "Maybe we could be in a show together, Levi! Wouldn't that be fun?"
Levi groaned at the memory.
Being in the industry for almost a decade made him realize that it wasn't that easy to be in a show with Hange. They started acting together in one of the children's movies where they acted as superheroes. It was lame for Levi's taste but surprisingly, it was a hit for the masses.
Their fame started there, but after that, Levi never got to work with Hange again for years. Their next movie together was after five years of working apart. Both them and the fans were excited when it finally happened, feeling like it was a comeback.
Though not being able to work together as much didn't separate them as friends. They still hang out secretly and sometimes, Mike would join them. They couldn't go to where they usually went back when they were young but they appreciate every little time they could have for each other. Especially that they were all busy in their own lives.
Usually, Levi takes lead action roles more than the romantic ones. He wasn't trying to be picky but he wanted to do the roles that he was comfortable with. Though, sometimes he would choose to do chick-flick movies if he could see his fans would almost beg him to do it.
Hange, on the other hand, wasn't picky on her roles. As long as it was safe and she could do it, she would. She usually starred in Sci-Fi movies and heavy drama ones but she could be seen in almost all genres. Levi couldn't count how much he secretly cried while watching her movies. She was that good. No wonder she was one of the youngest award winners in the industry.
Levi learned to love their jobs because of Hange and her passion for it. Because of her, he was starting to take bigger steps for himself as an actor. He was able to appreciate the spotlight more and more.
Though, he couldn't help but remember Hange's words sometimes…
"Maybe we could be in a show together, Levi! Wouldn't that be fun?"
Being in the spotlight was good while it lasted but Levi wanted more. Levi wanted to have fun… and maybe this time, with her.
A notification suddenly distracted Levi from his thoughts. It was a text message from his manager, Bob.
Bob: i got a word from hange's manager, janelle
Bob: she said yes to the tv show project
Levi's heart skipped a beat and he couldn't contain the smile forming on his lips. His hands were shaking as he quickly sent a message back to his manager.
Levi: okay, tell the producers to ready the contract
Levi: i'm in too
This was going to be so much fun. Levi couldn't wait.
