"I knew I'd find you here." The floating fairy called out with a voice that wasn't something the traveler was used to. It was tinged with a feeling of bittersweetness, one only brought forward by their meeting with the prince. It has been a good while since they met with him and lost track of his 'sworn enemy', but the experience still lingered in the air between them, unspoken yet deafening.
Paimon tried their best to cheer Lumine up before they set off to Inazuma with the Crux Fleet- doing menial things together, such as eating at Good Hunter with the Knights or visiting all the friends they made in Liyue. They even went on more meaningful quests, such as helping Zhongli fight off one of his corrupted old friends. However, not even almost dying could take the traveler's mind off of her brother and Paimon was at their wits' end, really (not that it was that long in the first place).
So, now, here, standing on top of the highest peak of Guyun Stone Forest, the breeze could only sway their hair, as they looked down upon the rest of the fleet packing for the trip.
"Paimon... the logical choice would be to move on, wouldn't it?" Her eyes were brimming with tears, the fairy noticed, and it made them wish they caught on earlier. "To lay low and stop trying to find out what happened, to wait for him to accomplish everything he wants to, regain our strength, and then leave together..."
A pause.
"But how could I ever make such a choice, when this world could get destroyed by it?"
