Chapter Text

Shaky, numb fingers fumbled with the clunky keys that were in the red reapers hands as she and her boyfriend rushed to get out of the cold snow and into the dry wooden cabin. When they got into the room, they quickly let out a sigh of relief as Jaune pushed the door shut to keep the cold outside air from getting into the room.

“Maybe going up in the mountain's during winter wasn’t the best decision.” Jaune pointed out as he shivered a little.

“Yeah, you might have been right.” Ruby agreed shivering as well before she pulled her boyfriend into a hug, her cold face buried in his chest.

“at least we’re inside together.” Jaune replied to her as he lifted up his girlfriend in his arms and carried her towards where the kitchen was. “Although going here was your idea.” he pointed out to her with a small smile not that he was complaining really.

“You were just as excited to come here as I was.” Ruby denied him as she pouted slightly her head resting against his chest as he placed her down onto a stool. “This was where we first started dating, we’re else would we have gone for our anniversary.” She argued half-heartedly as she looked up at him.

“I’m pretty sure it was hotter then though.” he pointed out to her before he leaned forward to give her lips a soft kiss making her coo. “I’m going to go make us some hot chocolate.” he told her before he stepped away from her to make the two drinks as quickly as he could.

When he stepped away from her Ruby sighed as she felt the loss of his warmth making her quickly remember how cold it was even as she curled up to try and keep herself from losing too much heat. “Just don’t take too long please, it’s cold.” she pleaded to him.

Jaune smiled at her before chuckling a little as he started to make the hot chocolate his hands reaching for his hoodie. “don’t worry I’m be back to cuddle you again sooner.” he told her as he threw the hoodie towards her.

When she caught the hoodie Ruby couldn’t help but smile before she pulled the hoodie onto her and sniffed it slightly, it smelled like Jaune. Even if she was freeing being in Jaune’s hoodie never failed to make her feel warmer. “You better, Jaune lets go back to bed when your done making it.” she told him with a fond smile.

Blushing back at her, Jaune quickly nodded as he finished making the hot chocolate, he finished the sweet drinks by adding some squirty cream and some grated chocolate before he picked them both up and carried them over to his shorter girlfriend.

Placing the drinks down in front of her Jaune grinned at her as he gave her a makeshift bow, “your drink is ready milady.” he told her with a teasing smile before he felt hands grip his shoulders before he was pulled over to her making him chuckle.

“Less talking and more cuddling.” she told him, pulling him into a passionate kiss as her legs wrapping around his waist as she enjoyed the feeling of his warm body against hers.

It didn’t take long for the two of them to find themselves under the covers of the bed as they cuddled. “I love you Jaune.” Ruby told him with a fond smile as she leaned forward to peck his cheek careful to not knock him as he took a sip of his cocoa.

Grinning at her Jaune took a big gulp of his drink before rolling over as he lied on top of her, “I love you too Ruby.” He told her as he rested his forehead against hers.

Giggling as she blushed slightly Ruby quickly grinned back at him, her smile a little teasing. "You have some cream on your lips.” she told him but before he could get rid of it, she leaned forward to kiss him her lips sucking on his lightly. “There it’s gone.” she told him with her face flushed slightly.

In reply Jaune leaned forward as he quickly kissed her back, his lips passionate as he kissed her with adoration filling him. “You don’t have any cream on your lips but I just wanted to kiss you.”

Hearing him Ruby quickly blushed again before she zipped away in a flurry of rose petals only to return quickly holding the squirty cream in her hands as she shook it slightly. “Well then let's give you some cream to taste.” she him as she gave him bedroom eyes.

Hi everyone I’m sorry about the complete radio silence on this fic, I had planned to finish them all pretty quickly but I got a little under the weather making writing a little difficult at the time. To be honest I can’t really think of anything good for the final submission so I’m just going to do the 6 out of 7 Lancaster week prompts. I am still pretty happy with this submission in total they were fun to write.

The good news that I kind of hinted to in the last chapter is that I’m going to start a new Lancaster long fic. Not sure when exactly it will be although I’ll be aiming to get the first chapter out before the end of this month. The premise is a supernatural take on RWBY for the people who have seen the show Grimm they would be able to guess what the premise is.

But for a brief explanation of what it is I’ll sa that there are going to be beings like werewolf's, hellhounds and possibly even Liches who prey on vulnerable humans. But these monsters aren’t the only creatures that prowl the night. Monster hunters called Ermittler’s (Inspired by the Grimm from the show Grimm just don’t want to call them the same thing since it would get confusing.) are about half-way between supernatural beings and the humans that they prey on.

Jaune Arc comes from a long line of Ermittler’s who’s being pushed to take on the family business but what happens when a silver eyed werewolf is shot down by one of Jaune’s sisters.
