    They say when Icarus fell from the sky, he threw his head back and laughed, he found joy in his ending. He knew it was close and he laughed and smiled in the face of death.
    He knew his end was close when the wax that once held his wings together began to melt and drip onto his skin, the sun beating down on him just a bit too much. The same sun creating beauty at the same time; making the ocean and her waves below glitter like diamonds. He felt the wind blow through his hair and the feathers of his wings.

    When Velrisa began to fall, she didn’t laugh, she grimaced at her ending.
    She was not supposed to die. This was not supposed to be the end.
