Work Text:
Blitzo sat in his desk, signing away meaningless paperwork that talked about all the financial troubles he had caused during their last “earth trip.”
He couldn’t stop thinking about it all, mostly the tripping balls part.
He knows it was all fake, stuff the repressed part of him decided to dig up in the heat of the moment and torture him with.
But the main thing that echoed in his head, that made him upset and think, shouldn’t have even bothered him that much.
Stolas, in all his glory, sitting sprawled out in his throne, warm smile as he carressed Blitzo’s face. “Why are you so afraid to love?” He asked, voice low and suave.
Blitzo groaned and throw his pen across the room, Moxxie freezing as it almost impaled him.
“Uh, sir? Are you okay?” Moxxie asked and Millie checked over her husband to make sure he was okay.
“Fucking dandy!” Blitzo responded with a tight smile. “Just all this fucking paperwork is driving me bat shit crazy!”
“Well why don’t you take a break, boss?” Millie suggested, smiling the kind smile she mostly always wore.
“If Blitzo stops while in the middle of something, he’s never gonna finish the work.” Luna informed and Blitzo groaned, standing up angrily.
“You know what? Fuck this shit! I’m done sitting on my ass doing fucking shit ass paperwork you bitches should be helping with. I’m going on a walk!” Blitzo yelled.
“Say hi to Stolas for me!” Luna called over her shoulder like the smart ass she was.
Blitzo flipped her off and stormed down the hall, running a hand through his hair and sighing dramatically as he walked the familiar way to Stolas’ house.
He doesn’t even know why he was going there when that was his current problem, it was just where he went whenever he had a problem.
When he approached the mansion, he looked around to make sure “the wife’s” chariot wasn’t around and he snuck in, slinking past the guards as he always did and entering the living room.
Octavia was laying on her back, some song blasting through her earbuds and Blitzo absentmindedly waved at her. She flashed a peace sign but otherwise ignored him as he made his way over to Stolas’ room.
“Blitzy?” Stolas said, confusion laced in his voice as he sat up from where he’d been dramatically laying on the bed. “What, couldn’t get enough of me yesterday?”
Blitzo at least had enough decency to flush at the comment and crossed his arms.
“Ew, fuck, no.” Blitzo spoke before he really thought about what he was saying, heart panging when Stolas’ face dropped but was quickly masked by his own face of reassurance. “I’ll try harder next time to make you miss me more.” Stolas flirted with a wink.
Blitzo scoffed and hugged himself tight, avoiding the owl’s gaze.
“What’s wrong dear?” Stolas spoke evenly, moving in the fluid way he did and scooping Blitzo up into his arms, pressing their foreheads against each other.
“Nothing is wrong.” Blitzo claimed and Stolas tsked. “My scrumptious pie, I can always tell when something is wrong. Don’t you trust me?”
Blitzo pointedly looked away at that comment, not knowing how to respond. He didn’t trust anyone, much less someone who held as much as a firm grasp on his feelings like Stolas did.
Stolas frowned, lowering Blitzo back to the ground. “Oh,” he mumbled and Blitzo felt like running away but his legs stayed frozen.
“Well, I trust you.” Stolas said and Blitzo, for once in his pathetic life, felt like crying, genuinely crying that is.
“Aw fuck,” Blitzo mumbled and Stolas tilted his head. “Fuck you, you motherfucking bitch.”
Stolas simply smiled at the remark and sat back down on his bed, leaning back on his arms and crossing his legs, looking elegant as always.
“Do you need to talk about something, Blitzy? I know to you I’m just an annoying fuck, but you can tell me things.” Stolas said sweetly.
Blitzo couldn’t move from his spot, words bouncing around in his head.
“Starting with the one that treats you like a plaything.”
“Does anybody love you, Blitzo?”
“Are you afraid to love people, Blitzy?”
But mostly, the words that echoed in his head the most, were the most painful.
“How dare you threaten my impish little plaything.”
Blitzo told himself from the very start of this whole arrangement, that he wouldn’t get attached, he wouldn’t get feelings.
Whenever he got feelings, things never ended well.
So he tried to ignore it when it began, but of course, because nothing ever goes right for him, he did catch feelings.
But the Stolas, he was just a plaything. Someone who was accesible, who wouldn’t fight it, someone he could have sex with and throw away when he was satisfied.
Stolas had a wife, had a kid for fucks sake, he couldn’t give two shits about Blitzo.
The small imp knew this well. No one ever gave two shits about him.
Not Rizzaoli, not Veronsika, not Millie, not Moxxie and not even his own daughter Loona.
So why would a man who has riches and fame and a family give a shit about him.
Blitzo flinched when he felt soft feathers carress his face.
“Blitzy, darling, you’re tearing up. I’ve never seen that, not even when we go rougher than normal.” Stolas said and Blitzo ducked his face, wiping tears.
“It’s nothing, Featherhead.” Blitzo mumbled and Stolas pouted.
“Aw Blitzy, I love your creative banter, but I am worried dear. You never cry, you think it’s for weakling shit brains. What’s wrong? I won’t judge.” Stolas promised and once again picked Blitzo up, this time cradling him as he sat down.
The smaller demon curled up, making himself even smaller and shrugged.
“Nothing you’d understand,” he grumble, trying to force his harsh exterior back up but failing as tears began to fall, sizzling off his skin from the Hell heat.
“Oh, is it a poor thing? Blitzy I can lend you money if you need it that bad, I would just need a favor of course.” Stolas said and Blitzo shook his head.
“No, fuck, you skeezebag. It’s not a poor thing. It’s a me thing. And I’m sure as fuck not opening up to you.” Blitzo grumbled.
“Then why did you come here?” Stolas asked, concern thick in his voice.
“I don’t even fucking know. I got mad at work and next thing you know I’m here shitass.”
“Your subconscious knows this could be your home,” Stolas said in a soft voice, a feather tracing along Blitzo’s face. “I’ve told you countless times you can live here, but you decline everytime.”
“Your wife wants me dead.” Blitzo reminded. “And I’ve also told you countless times I don’t want to be some freaky sex slave.”
“You wouldn’t be dearie, I love you, I’ve said that before.” Stolas said, hurt lacing his tone, accent becoming thick as he got upset.
“You only say that so I don’t leave and your quick fuck doesn’t disappear.” Blitzo mumbled bitterly.
“That’s not true at all!” Stolas said, normally narrow eyes wide as his feathers bunched up in stress. “Blitzy, I care for you. Do you think I’d just give someone access to the human realm just because they fucked me good?”
“Yes.”
“I’m offended you think so little of me,” Stolas replied and Blitzo looked away. “I genuinely care for you Blitzy, I love you as well. I’ve risked my marriage, my relationship with ‘Via, my reputation and everything I own just so you can work, just so I can spend time with you.”
Blitzo flushed a bit now and crossed his arms. “Whether or not that’s true, the only time you ever express interest in me is when it benefits your unhealthily high sex drive and your kink shit attitude.”
“Blitzy, I didn’t need you to take care of me at Lulu Land. Or come to the Harvest, I simple wanted you to come so I could enjoy your company.” Stolas informed.
“Then why do you call me a plaything?” Blitzo grumbled and immediately hid his face as he didn’t mean to let that spill.
Stolas hummed and began to sway his arms, rocking Blitzo a bit as he held him close to his chest.
“Blitzy, I had no clue you felt like this,” Stolas mumbled and Blitzo turned away.
“Whatever, it doesn’t matter how I feel prick.” Blitzo mumbled and Stolas was caressing his face again, “hand” resting like a comforting weight on Blitzo’s cheek.
“It does, love, I’m sorry I didn’t realize it bothered you.” Stolas said.
“Of course it bothers me. You spew all this bullshit and fuck about “oh Blitzy I love you!” But you only fuck me and toss me like I’m shitty garbage! Fuck Stol, even that fuckhead Striker noticed it. He tried to get me to shit, kill you or some fuck because he thought I hated you for how you treat me. And I fucking do! Well, shit, I don’t hate you bitch but I wish I did. I hate how you treat me and I hate how I feel because I’m just fuck nothing to you.” Blitzo ranted and tried to turn his face away but Stolas kept their gazes stuck together.
“Blitzy, I do care for you. I’m sorry, I didn’t realize how I treated you could be seen as such. I- It’s just things here are hard. You know Stella, and I still have Octavia. I was scared of getting attached because if I did, I could be throwing everything else away. But Blitzy, I trust you, and I do indeed love and care for you. I wouldn’t entrust the book to just anyone, and I wouldn’t risk my life for just anyone.” Stolas said, voice soft and caring.
Blitzo frowned and avoided eye contact with Stolas. “Then why…?” Blitzo couldn’t bring himself to finish his sentence, but Stolas seemed to catch on.
“I was worried if I acted too… lovey, I may scare you off. Call it a defense mechanism I guess.” Stolas said. “I called you a plaything because it made it easier, just pretending this was glorious sex. I never thought you’d feel the same way.”
Blitzo scoffed. “God, fucking Millie calls you my boyfriend all the time. Of course I feel the same.” Blitzo said with a grin and sniffed, wiping at dried tears.
“Aw, fuck, shit. I cried like a bitch, thats Moxxie’s job, not mine. Fuck,” Blitzo mumbled and Stolas chuckled, pressing a gentle kiss to his forehead, which made the other freeze.
“So cute, so tiny and adorable.” Stolas cooed. “Ay, watch it fucko. I may be in love with you but fuck off with that shit, don’t treat me like I’m precious.” Blitzo said.
Stolas laughed and hugged Blitzo tightly. “This does mean we can still have sex, correct?” He asked and Blitzo barked out with laughter.
“Hah! Yes idiot. Want me to fuck you now, is that why you’re asking?” Blitzo teased.

An hour later, a very tired bird and imp lay in bed, simply basking in each other’s warmth when a very loud door slamming shut sounded out.
“Mom!” They heard Octavia yell very loudly, obviously trying to alert them. “How was work? I know you had a long day and want to go see DAD, but I’ve missed you MOM!”
Blitzo was on his feet, scrambling about and grabbing his belongings.
Stolas watched with an amused smile as he ran over to the window.
Blitzo stuck a leg out the window and smiled at Stolas.
“Don’t tell anyone about this, fucko.” Blitzo said and his face flushed a bit. “But love you.”!
Stolas smiled widely and his eyes practically turned into hearts. “Love you too Blitzy. Soon we won’t have to do this, I swear.”
Before Blitzo could respond, the bedroom door was flinging open and he jumped out before he was seen.
When he ran back into his office, the others just absentmindedly waved at him, though Loona grinned at her father.
“How was Stolas?” She teased and Blitzo rolled his eyes.
“Can it Loony Tunes, I’ve got work.”
