Hermione Granger has never quite lived up to anyone's expectations of her, but, then, the world has consistently failed to live up to her expectations, too. None of that matters now, of course—
because Hermione is absolutely, irrefutably, one hundred percent going to turn her life around when she gets to Hogwarts. She’ll go to every class, even if what’s not on the curriculum is the more important part; she’ll never talk back, she won’t go getting into any trouble at all.
