Work Text:
Sunk fast asleep, life's more or less a dream,
as dreamers do exactly what they will.
And try and try and try and try and try.
When even real may feel a perfect scheme,
another orchestration or a taunt,
be unafraid to live. (Try not to die.)
& whether blowing smoke or blown-off steam,
a ghost postponed is predisposed to haunt.
And try and try and try and try and try.
In haunting, picking fights with a regime,
it's not a bad philosophy to flaunt:
Be unafraid to live. (Try not to die.)
What if, sometimes, you just — let out a scream!
There's nothing here to do but live and want,
And try and try and try and try and try.
Both home and homing instinct make a team,
but only waking words a confidant.
Be unafraid to live. (Try not to die.)
And try and try and try and try and try.
