Motoha Arai was an only child.
…okay, Tomoko Noge and Motoha Arai were sisters in every way but blood. Otherwise she was an only child.
So. After her former idol sent her sort-of-sister to the hospital, Motoha had become a Phantom Thief to avenge her and prevent anyone else from getting hurt.
She didn’t regret it one bit.
She hadn’t expected that becoming a Phantom Thief would involve getting a twin sister who was less than a month old when they first met.
The Phantom Idols aren’t human. They are still very much alive.

Summary
Shanks’s soul has grown darker, since he left the (Un)holy land.
It was not because of any choice, choices, decision, or decisions that he made.
Save one choice he made when he first entered Mariejois.
A choice he only learned about the full consequences of long after he had made it.
Which is just the way the person responsible for that poisoned choice prefers things.
(The Shallows Covenant does more than just make the holders obey Imu when they’re within range).
(Only the Red-Haired Pirates know that Shanks was the first person Luffy freed).

Losing Makoto had hurt Yukari. A lot.
Hurt her enough that she’d hurt her friends, practically tried to kill Aigis, to bring him back.
…and somehow, Aigis forgave her for that.
…how could Yukari not get attached to that sort of love? The sort of compassion it took to look somebody in the eyes - when that someone had decided you potentially dying was a goddamn acceptable risk - and still forgive them and call them a friend?
She’d gotten attached to Aigis.
Just like she’d gotten attached to Makoto.
(When he returns several years later for reasons none of them understand, Makoto is very surprised by this).

“It says here you’re a ex-vet,” She’s got a bit of a snaggletooth. Unseemly for a Viltrumite, but she’s no Viltrumite. Conquest feels his tongue prod at where the gaps in his teeth used to be. Her excitement blossoms into a rich flower. “Don’t need’ta worry, honey. We don’t bite here.”
