Special Lessons

Summary:

Pi isn’t really one to get invited anywhere. Especially not by Mork, the hottest and most popular guy at school, who seems hell bent on having Pi tutor him in math.

Notes:

This story came to me during my holidays about two months ago, and I was trying to find a good ship to fit with it. Choosing MorkPi made me change directions slightly from what I had originally intended, but it was fun to write all that chaotic gay energy for this ship haha :’) Hope you enjoy it!

Work Text:

Pi had learned his place in the high school hierarchy a long time ago; at the very bottom of it. He’d probably be qualified as a nerd by most people because of his glasses and braces, but honestly he wasn’t even at their level. At least all the nerds he knew hung out in groups and seemed to be having fun. Pi… was all alone.

Ever since his old friend group had been revealed to be using him to get close to his older brother, Pi had acquired something of a… bad reputation. The first part of it due to him fighting with them once he discovered their secret, making him out to be a violent and unhinged person. The second part due to his… special personality, portraying him as a weirdo who could probably become a serial killer if he wanted to.

Pi had been aware of how unlovable he truly was for a long time already. He had learned to keep to himself, and power through high school until he’d reach university to study dentistry. Also finally get rid of those goddamn braces. Only a few months left anyway. Loneliness was painful, but not as much as being disappointed by others.

One of the only times when Pi wished to be lonelier was during math class. The teacher was particularly harsh, and had moved a certain someone to sit next to Pi after he’d been messing around with his friends too much. Since then, Pi had been stuck next to his snoring silhouette laying on his side of the desk every week.

If Pi was at the bottom of the high school hierarchy, Mork was at the very top of it. Tall, handsome and with a jawline to die for according to all the girls… He was athletic but also good at school, desired but still kind to everyone around him, unattainable but also down to earth. Pi guessed there could be worse guys at that number one spot, though his own bias would have preferred if Mork’s best friend Mueang Nan was the one to have been placed next to him.

As the bell rang, Pi sighed happily knowing it had been the last period of the day while Mork emerged from his own arms, hair a bit messy as a friend of his threw a paper ball at his head. With an easy smile, Mork turned around as he tossed it right back and hit his target.

“How was the nap, Ai’Mork?”

“Too good for math?” Mueng Nan teased as he walked over to the desk, Pi blushing as he was now unable to get up and leave without being noticed by him.

Mork shrugged. “I was saving my energy for our football match,” he replied as he briefly met Pi’s eyes, getting up and passing an arm around his best friend’s shoulders as he exited the room.

Pi couldn’t help but roll his eyes at that. Hey, just because he didn’t hate Mork didn’t necessarily mean he had to like him. The classroom was now empty as he finally got up to leave, surprised to see Mork standing at the entrance of the room after having left a minute ago.

His surprise must have been visible on his face because Mork passed a hand through his own hair as he smiled. “Hey, Pi...”

“You know my name?” He couldn’t help but respond, genuinely surprised.

Mork looked a bit embarrassed. “Of course! We’ve been in the same class for three years.”

Pi still wasn’t convinced, but decided to let it go. “Okay… What is it?”

The sight in front of his eyes was genuinely unsettling: Mork the confident, the cool, the attractive, the talented, the popular Mork… was seemingly shy. Pi could almost see the shadow of a blush on his cheeks.

“My friends told me there’s apparently a math test in a couple of weeks, and well… I suck at math,” he announced.

Pi furrowed his brows. Somehow… things didn’t line up. Mork was one of the best students in this class, often the only real competition Pi had… And he’d never struggled with math before… But he’d also been sleeping through every class since he was moved to sit next to him. Pi had actually believed it was because he already knew the entire syllabus for the class already, but apparently not.

“You probably shouldn’t have been sleeping in every class the past three months, then,” he replied, probably colder than he really intended.

Mork sort of winced in front of him. “Yeah, you’re right. So, I was wondering if you’d be up for giving me tutoring lessons. It would be paid, of course.”

Pi simply stared at him. “But you’re good at math, Mork.”

Mork simply shrugged in his usual nonchalant manner. “I don’t know what’s up this year, but my grades have gone down significantly.”

“Again, if you paid attention in class I’m sure the problem would be solved,” he couldn’t help but bite back, before sighing. “But...” He trailed off, incapable of continuing his sentence.

“But?”

He met his eyes again as he sighed. “I’ll help you.”

Mork’s smile was blinding as he did a little victory fist motion. “Yes! How about tomorrow?”

“Okay.”

“Great -”

“Ai’Mork, did you find the book?” A voice came from further down the hallway.

Mork seemed a bit panicked as he turned back to him. “Wait for me at your usual bus stop tomorrow after school. I’ll meet you there. Bye.”

Pi watched him rush out of the room, his voice echoing softly around the walls: “Nah, I actually don’t think I brought it today.”

Laughs invaded the hallway. “Where has our bright Mork gone?”

As he heard their steps disappear, Pi furrowed his brows as he realized Mork had mentioned the bus he took home.

“How does he know which bus I take?” He whispered to himself, finally stepping out of the classroom.

Everything about that encounter had been weird, but Pi was nowhere near knowing how much weirder it would all get.

Pi sighed, feeling like ants were crawling all over his legs as he walked in circles under the bus stop, checking the time on his phone. He was starting to reconsider agreeing to help Mork out, especially since the whole situation felt really fishy in the first place. So why… why had he said yes? Was he, who had seemingly given up on any attempt to make friends, so desperate to be in the presence of the most popular guy in school? Sure, the money would be nice. But it’s not like Pi really needed it either.

He got shaken out of his thoughts by Mork’s hand on his shoulder. “Hey,” he smiled as he looked around them, seemingly a bit shy.

“Hey…”

“My car is parked not far away from here, shall we go?”

Pi nodded, brows furrowed as he was surprised they weren’t taking the bus since he’d asked him to wait here. But it’s true that one of the reasons Mork was regarded as “super duper hot” was his fancy car, which he’d started driving to school as soon as he turned 18 a couple of months ago. Pi thought it wasn’t that crazy special, but it’s not like he hadn’t gotten excited when his older brother Wan had gotten his first car. He would also never admit it out loud, but he did enjoy riding his brother Duean’s motorcycle pillion too. So… theoretically, he could maybe understand why all the girls were drooling at the idea of Mork driving them home. Well sorry for them, but today Pi was the chosen one.

The ride to Mork’s home would’ve probably been the most awkward moment of his life if Pi wasn’t a breathing and walking disaster who had lived through far worse moments than this one. Mork had ended up turning on the radio, as the two of them had literally nothing in common. After all, yesterday had been the first time they talked to each other in three years. Which made Pi, once again, question his decision to agree to spending multiple hours alone with him, at his house on top of that.

Said house was insanely huge; Pi sort of understood why it was everyone’s goal to be invited to one of Mork’s parties… it even had a pool. They sat at the huge living room’s table, Pi getting out all of his math books as Mork got them some water.

“My little brother has club activities today, so he won’t be here to bother us,” Mork smiled awkwardly as he sat next to him.

Pi stared at him. He had somehow expected him to sit across from him, and not so close. “He could’ve been here with us, I’m sure he wouldn’t have bothered us. Is he really young?” He asked. To be unable to understand his older brother’s boundaries, his brother must’ve been quite young.

Mork chuckled as he shook his head. “No, just one year younger.”

Pi furrowed his eyebrows. If his brother was a junior, then… “He’s in our high school? I’ve never heard of anyone being related to you.”

Mork seemed to realize he had said too much, because he rubbed the back of his head with an embarrassed grin. “Yeah… His nickname is Meen. He’s a bit weird, way too honest for his own good, quite clingy too, so I wanted to take him under my wing so he could find some friends in high school. But my brother is also very stubborn, and insisted I pretend not to know him, so… yeah.”

“Meen? Nong Meen from the science club?” Pi recalled.

Mork nodded. “You know him?”

“Yeah. He seems… nice.” Not that Pi had ever talked to him, though. Even though he had been forced to pick a club by the school, he still did everything in his power to not socialize.

“Yeah,” Mork smiled. “You know, I’ve never told anyone, besides Mueang Nan who already knew Meen, that he was my brother, so… I trust you with my secret.”

Pi just stared at him. Why was Mork so trusting of him? Why had he told him the truth in the first place? That guy was weird. Actually, weirder than both Pi and Meen combined.

“Anyways,” Pi spoke out a bit too loud, “let’s start. The exam is just around the corner. I want you to do these exercises first so I can see what you’re not getting.”

Pi couldn’t believe his eyes. In front of him were the exercises Mork had just worked on, and… every single one of them was wrong. But what bothered Pi even more was that the mistakes felt… fake.

“Mork, how did you go from the top 5 in math to this?” He couldn’t help but ask as the popular guy smiled sheepishly.

“Honestly, too many new concepts have been introduced this year, I’m just so lost,” he replied.

Pi sighed as he put the notebook down. “Okay, we’re gonna redo each exercise step by step until you understand them, okay?”

Mork nodded eagerly, his face getting closer to Pi as he looked at the notebook in between them. Pi spent the next hour redoing the exercises in front of Mork, until he seemed to get it. He extended the exercise book to him.

“So now that you get it, you can do these exercises with the same concepts, okay?”

“Sure.”

“Where is your bathroom?”

“Oh, it’s at the end of the hallway, on the left.”

“I’ll be right back.”

As Mork focused on the exercises, Pi went to one of the many bathrooms in this gigantic house. After two hours there, he was a bit tired. Hopefully Mork would be done soon, so he could correct his work and then go home.

When he walked back into the living room though, his eyes caught sight of a few picture frames inside of an open cabinet. Since Mork’s eyes seemed stuck to the task at hand, Pi dared to stop in front of it. One of them caught his eyes especially, seemingly taken a few years ago as Mueang Nan and Mork looked significantly more innocent. They were holding each other by the shoulders, huge grins cutting their faces in half as they stood on grass.

Mueang Nan already looked so cute though. He already had the mesmerizing smile that had made Pi fall for him as soon as he saw him on the first day of high school. It hadn’t been helped by the fact that Mueang Nan had helped him when he had fallen in P.E on that very same day too. Since then, even though they had rarely ever spoken again, Mueang Nan was by far Pi’s favorite person in the whole school.

At some point, Pi had even wondered if Mork liked Mueang Nan too, seeing how they were both so close. But it turned out that they had basically been raised together and were as close as brothers. Besides, it’s not like Mork ever seemed interested in anyone, despite having half the school fighting to have a chance with him. His perpetual singleness only seemed to be contributing to his charm, at this point. And it’s also not like Pi would ever have a chance with Mueang Nan anyway.

He gasped as he felt a hand fall on his back for only half a second before he turned around. Mork was standing close behind him, a small smile displayed on his lips as he took the picture frame from Pi’s hand.

“This picture is so funny, we were so ugly.”

Pi’s face felt a little bit warm as he whispered. “You were fine...”

Mork stared at him for a while, before placing the picture back in its original place. But where Pi had expected him to go back to his seat, he stayed put. This close, their chests were almost touching, with Pi’s back digging into the cabinet.

Pi wanted to brush it all away, say anything to make them go back to math even if it was awkward, yet he couldn’t get himself to do so. Something about Mork, and the way he was looking at him, was making his heart skip in his chest. No one had ever looked at him like that before.

“I’m really glad you came to my house today, Pi,” Mork said, barely above a whisper as his mouth was already quite close to him.

Pi couldn’t even nod as his hands went to take his glasses off, making him panic a little bit. “What are you…”

Mork’s hand on the side of his face shut him up mid-sentence, accompanied with the (very blurry) sight of his face moving closer to his. The truth is… that Pi could’ve stopped it. He saw it coming, though again extremely blurry without his glasses, but when Mork’s lips touched his own, well… Pi did nothing to prevent it.

Knowing nothing about kissing, he let Mork take the lead as his timid lips tried to follow the pace. He could feel the popular guy’s hands on his face, though his own were way too incapable of reaching out to touch him back. It seemed to take an eternity, their lips embracing in the silence of the big room,  the two of them huddled in that one tiny corner, bodies resting fully against the cabinet as the kiss kept on going.

After a while, they did pull away to catch their breaths, Pi immediately looking away as he was incapable of even daring to face Mork in that moment, until he felt the hands on his cheeks pull him closer again, their lips colliding once more. This time though, a tongue slipped past his lips, making him gasp softly as his hands automatically went to Mork’s waist, grabbing onto his school’s shirt.

That kiss seemed to last even longer, though it did not stop entirely when they pulled apart, Mork’s lips instead moving to his neck. Pi felt so warm despite the cold A/C, tender lips tickling him as Mork’s body got even closer. He could feel his hands move down from his face to his chest, then…

Pi pushed him away when his hand touched his crotch, Mork immediately stepping back as they both froze into place. After kisses that he had enjoyed, Pi was now feeling dirty. Was that why Mork had invited him to his place? Had he planned to hook up with Pi, who would be too lonely, too desperate to reject him? Pi guessed that’s why Mork never dated anyone; he probably was a one-night stand kind of guy.

“Are you okay?”

Those words echoed in ears as he looked away, Mork coming closer once more. The warmth of his body in front of his own made Pi jolt away, hitting his elbow against the cabinet and letting out a resounding “ouch!”

Mork grabbed his arm, looking worried. “Pi, are you okay?”

He pulled his hand away from him as their eyes met briefly. “I’m fine, I’ll just go home now.”

“B-but, the exercises…”

He ignored Mork’s protest as he walked back to the table, grabbing his books and shoving them into his bag. Mork stood behind him in silence, clearly trying to find the words to tell him something, but Pi was too quick and went to open the door. As he set foot outside, he froze, before turning towards Mork who looked pretty embarrassed.

“Just so you know, I’m really not into these sorts of things.”

And before the taller guy could respond, he shut the door. Thankfully, there was a bus stop not too far away from here. During the ride, the whole encounter kept playing inside his head, and Pi felt dirtier at each new round. And his anger was soon replaced by shame. What the fuck had he just done? Was he really that desperate for a guy to like him that he’d accept the first random one who came his way? What was wrong with him?

He arrived at home after an excruciating ride, rushing to his and his brother’s room after having barely greeted his mom. Duean was laying on his bunk bed, whistling a random melody as he scrolled through his phone. He turned toward Pi as soon as he closed the door loudly.

“Ai’Pi, why are you so late? Usually you’re always the first home!”

As soon as he met his brother’s eyes, Pi felt like crying. He wouldn’t actually cry, of course, as he wasn’t an easy crier, and even less so in front of his brother, but he couldn’t pretend everything was okay either.

Duean, who had clearly noticed something was wrong, had sat up on his bed, his legs dangling from the top bunk. “What’s wrong? Who hurt you?”

His chin wobbled as he swallowed any oncoming tears. “Hia… your brother is a slut!” He exclaimed with almost a sob but not quite.

Duean just stared at him, a chuckle escaping his mouth before he realized the seriousness of the situation. “What?! You’ve lost your virginity? You haven’t even had your first kiss yet!”

Pi knew he was turning red as a tear finally rolled down his cheek. “Ahhh, my first kiss! I lost my first kiss to a random guy!” He sobbed as he rushed to sit on his bed.

Duean jumped down, sitting next to him as Pi buried his face in his chest. “Who did you kiss?”

“I lost my first kiss to Mueang Nan’s best friend...” Pi continued weeping. “He’s gonna tell him and Mueang Nan will hate me.”

“Ai’Pi.” Duean sounded worried, which was a very rare occurrence. “Tell me what happened.”

Pi pulled away as he sniffed loudly, rubbing away his tears. “Yesterday, Mork, Mueang Nan’s best friend and the most popular guy in school, asked me to tutor him in math. But he was always very good at math, so I was confused, but then he insisted and offered to pay me so I accepted. I tutored him all afternoon today, but then… he kissed me.”

“That asshole took advantage of you?!” Duean shouted, getting up so fast he hit his head on the top bunk bed.

Pi shook his head as he grabbed him by the wrist. “I… let him. I even participated.”

His older brother sighed as he sat down next to him. “It’s clear the guy likes you and just wanted an excuse to be alone with you. And if you kissed him back, then… maybe you like him too.”

Pi felt his heart stop at the thought. Mork, really? How could he like someone he’d shared his first few words with only a day ago? No, Pi was just a desperate slut who would go with anyone who’d have him.

He shook his head. “He doesn’t like me. He wanted… more, but I stopped him.”

He watched as his brother clenched his jaw and got up once again. “Where does he live?”

Pi stood up too. “Don’t say that Hia. Let’s not create a problem, okay?”

Duean made an annoyed noise. “But he created the problem when he tried to take my little bro for an easy target.”

“But I am…” He protested. “I kissed him back.”

His brother seemed to calm down as they met eyes again. “Pi, you can kiss and like whoever you want. But don’t let guys manipulate you into sex if you don’t want it, okay? Not only will I kill them and go to prison, but I’ll be sad forever that my brother got hurt.”

Pi knew he looked as moved as he felt when he went to hug him. Despite all of their differences, his brother’s roughness and rudeness… he really was the best brother Pi could’ve wished for. Even though he didn’t have friends, at least Pi had Duean.

School felt more uncomfortable than usual on Monday. Pi couldn’t fully relax, not when both Mork and Mueang Nan were sat only a few rows behind him in every class. During the week-end, Pi had come to accept, at least to himself, that he had kissed Mork back for a reason. That reason being… and he still couldn’t help but feel weirded out as he thought about it… that he was in fact attracted to Mork.

Sure, the guy was hot. He had a jawline that could cut rock, probably. Floppy hair perfectly falling on his forehead, and a smile that did make him look adorable. But that was nothing compared to the real, actual feelings Pi felt for Mueang Nan. Besides, Mork only seemed to want sex from him, which wasn’t what Pi wanted.

Now, he just had to hope that Mork wouldn’t tell his best friend, who was practically raised as his brother since birth, about their kiss… Pi sighed as he let his head fall into his arms during lunch. He was doomed. That kiss had been the proof of his very shallow desires for Mork, and now Mueang Nan was gonna know all about it. He’d probably hate Pi, think he’s so easy he goes with every guy who will have him… Maybe he wouldn’t be entirely wrong.

He gasped as he felt a hand on his shoulder, sitting back up as he met Mork’s eyes. Great, just what he needed today.

“Pi, I need to talk to you,” he said as he looked all around them, as if he was ashamed to be seen with him. That wouldn’t be surprising. Maybe he regretted kissing him in the first place.

Pi readjusted his glasses on his nose and walked away, his tray in hands. He could feel Mork following him, which led him to pick up the pace, almost throwing his tray on the pile of dirty dishes as he exited the cafeteria.

“Pi, wait up!”

He was almost running by now, even though he knew there was no way he could escape his fate. Mork was the best football player in school, and he was… not very good at any sports at all. He slowed down when he felt Mork’s fingers touch his wrist.

They stood there, catching their breaths in the empty hallway for about a minute before Mork dared to speak again.

“I’m really sorry about Friday, I messed up,” he admitted. Pi was surprised that he did. “You probably thought I was using you for… sex, but that’s not the case.”

Pi furrowed his brows. It was weird to see Mork so shy, whispering the word ‘sex’ as if they were ten years old. “It’s okay Mork, I’m just not looking for that kind of thing.”

“Me neither!” He protested. “I’m really sorry I gave you that impression, I just didn’t know what to do, so I did that and it freaked you out…”

Pi shook his head. “It’s fine, just know that I’m not interested in anything casual.”

Mork’s cheeks got really red then, and he looked so shy he felt like a completely different person. “I don’t want something casual either, Pi. In fact, that was my first kiss.”

Pi felt like he had been punched in the stomach for a moment. “Sorry, what?”

Mork got a bit closer. “It was my first kiss, and I wanted to play it cool, so I did what I saw in movies and stuff, and what my friends told me -”

“How is that possible?” He couldn’t help but ask.

The taller guy seemed to move on from his shyness to a bit of incredulity. “Well, it was.”

“Mork, you’re the most popular guy in school. All the girls, and I’m sure some of the guys too… are dying to make you theirs,” he stated. “So why… why me? It’s already surprising that you hadn’t had your first kiss yet, but it’s not like I can judge. But with me? When you could have anyone you want?”

Mork’s fingers were rubbing his scalp, messing his usually perfect hair up. He kinda looked cuter like that. “But… you’re the one that I want, Pi.”

The hallway got really quiet then, as they stared at each other. Frankly, Pi might as well have been dead, as he could barely feel his heartbeat anymore. His ears were ringing so loud it felt like he was about to faint.

“B-but, you don’t know anything about me,” he protested weakly.

Mork chuckled. “I know enough. I know that you’re incredibly smart and talented, that you’re ambitious and caring -”

Pi couldn’t help but chuckle. “Please, I have no friends. I’ve never taken care of anyone.”

“But you have,” Mork smiled. “You think no one notices it, but you helped Pang find her glasses when she dropped them on the ground, you helped Teacher May carry her books to her classroom, you helped Mueang Nan when he forgot his bag on a bench, you even helped Ai’Pong go to the infirmary when he got hurt in P.E, and you… you helped me find the classroom on the first day of school this year.”

“Is that… when you noticed me?”

He smirked as he shook his head. “Nah. I’ve noticed you for a while, Pi. That was just the final nail in the coffin.”

They were standing really close now, so close Pi could see Mork’s every pore. “But you’re ashamed to be seen with me, h-how can you like me?”

Mork seemed so surprised it made Pi doubt his own sanity. “Ashamed of you? What do you mean?”

Pi shrugged. “Well… every time you talk to me in public, you keep looking around as if you’re scared of someone seeing us. You even pretended to forget your book in the classroom so your friends wouldn’t see us together.”

He started pouting when Mork chuckled, his hand going straight to Pi’s head to pat it. “I’m not ashamed of you, I just know that you like to cultivate your “aloof” aura. I’ve seen how uncomfortable you look when someone tries to make friends with you in public, so I thought that it would be easier for you if we kept it a secret. But my friends know I like you.”

Pi looked up suddenly. “Even Mueang Nan?!”

“Especially Mueang Nan,” Mork answered nonchalantly.

Pi sighed. He guessed that was to be expected, after all, those two were joined at the hips. Before he could try and attempt to change the topic, though, Mork grabbed his hand. His fingers were warm against his.

“I’m sorry that I acted like an idiot, and I promise I will try my best not to mess up anymore. And I know… I know I messed up trying to play it cool, but I was hoping you could give me a chance.”

“Mork… I’m really not who you think I am,” he replied, feeling something in his heart break as he said so.

“What do you mean?”

“I… I suck,” he admitted. “I’m really insecure about most things, I don’t know how to be friendly to anyone, I’m weird and I’m not attractive like you are, I… just don’t understand why you would want to be anywhere near me.”

Mork seemed to stare into his soul as he sighed. “Hearing you say all of these mean things about the one I like is really painful. Because I can accept all of your flaws, but I really hope you can become more confident with time, Pi. You’re beautiful, and you’re not as weird as you pretend to be.”

“I am,” he chuckled sadly. “Just so you wait and see.”

“Okay!” Mork exclaimed. “I’m ready to see how weird you can be. Because I’m weird too, sometimes. And I know you have a hard time thinking that anybody could like you, but… I wanna be here, every day, to prove you wrong.”

Pi had to admit that he was moved. After all, it was the first time someone had confessed their feelings for him, and called him beautiful and worthy of love. Suddenly, all of the angst Pi had been through over the week-end was gone, completely erased by Mork’s honesty and his big brown eyes staring into his own.

“You lied about being bad at math, didn’t you?” He asked with a smile.

Mork’s apologetic face was kind of adorable. “I did, I’m sorry. I really didn’t want to manipulate you or anything, I just had never asked anyone out before and I knew you’d say no if it was under any other pretense, so -”

“Let’s suppose I forgive you,” Pi interrupted. “You’re right, I don’t want the school knowing about our business, especially since I’d be hated for doing anything near you. I also wanna take things slow.”

“Sure, that’s totally okay!” Mork nodded eagerly.

“And no telling anything graphic to Mueang Nan!”

Mork pouted. “Why? Why are you always so focused on Mueang Nan?”

Pi sighed as he felt a blush creep in on his cheeks. “I just don’t want him to imagine me… kissing you, or worse, doing more than that. I’d at least like my image to remain pure in his mind.”

“You like him,” Mork said, and it didn’t sound like an accusation, more like a fact.

Pi bit his lip as he felt guilty for the way his expression had fallen on his face, looking genuinely sad now. “Like d , I guess.”

He enjoyed seeing Mork’s expression brighten up again as he inched a step closer. “So… you’ve got someone else you like now.”

Pi pretended to hesitate. “Hm… I tolerate him, I guess.”

The smile Mork sent him did make his heart ache. Even though he wasn’t in love yet, only on the way to like, he did feel good around Mork today. What was happening felt natural and right, so who was he to deny it? If that made him easy, so be it.

“But most importantly though…” He announced. “No more lying.”

“I swear!”

“Good.”

They stared at each other in silence as Mork took a step closer towards him. “So… you’ll give me a chance, then?”

Pi wasn’t going to pass up a chance to play it cool. “I might,” he replied as his eyes fell on Mork’s lips.

Mork was also staring at his own, but he didn’t take the initiative like a couple of days earlier. Instead, he kept looking at him, barely a few inches in between them in that big deserted hallway. Pi could feel his face get warmer.

How had he gotten to the point of flirting with Mork when he didn’t even think the other knew his name a week ago? It all felt unreal, but his pounding heart seemed to be there to remind him that it wasn’t.

Suddenly, he surged forward, pressing a small peck on the corner of Mork’s lips before quickly pulling away and starting to walk.

“Okay, see you later!”

He could hear Mork trying to formulate words while completely stunned. “Where are you going?”

“Somewhere!”

He’d probably go lock himself in a bathroom stall until class started again to calm his heart, and find the courage to face Mork again.

Notes:

The Pi & Duean scene is by far my favorite from this whole fic, I LOVE their relationship!!! Initially I was a little shook to see Morn & Gord from My Tee play brothers, but I actually ended up falling in love with their dynamic so Duean needed to be part of this fic as my favorite character from FUTS :’) Hope you enjoyed this fic & I’ll see you for my next work!
