“Ugh, I swear the childhood friends to lovers trope is sooo cliche.” Sasha complained bored out of her mind. All of the girls we’re hanging out and Marcy choose to watch romance anime for their movie night. “Hey guys as fun as this was I’m gonna head home, see ya later.”
It was an obvious excuse to get out of the movie but Sasha had other motives too. It was so obvious that Anne and Marcy had feelings for each other and as much as she would hate being the third wheel she couldn’t stand to watch them be oblivious to each other feeling anymore! Leaving them alone with a romantic movie was sure to at least put them a few steps forward in their relationship.
“See ya at school Sash!” As soon as the words left Anne’s mouth she realized that her and Marcy would be alone…..together. As much as she tried to deny it Anne had fallen head over heels for Marcy, her childhood best friend, but that probably what Marcy sees her as..”Just a friend…” she mumbled “ did you say something Anne?”Marcys voice got Anne out of her thoughts “Oh it’s nothing.” Marcy didn’t seem convinced but she let it go
” Oh this my favorite part of the movie! The protagonist finally confesses his love, but what I love most about this scene is…….” Anne loved to hear Marcy talk about the things she loved, it was what made Marcy special to her. Marcy and Anne were always physically affectionate, they always hugged, held hand, or had some kind of physical contact, maybe Marcy wouldn’t mind if she held her hand right now…..
“So ya that’s why this is my favorite roman-“ she stopped speaking when Anne help Marcys hand”Ah, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable, I’ll stop if you want!” Anne started spilling out apology’s “It’s ok, this is nice….”
Marcys hand felt so warm, this was better than the other times they held hands. Maybe Marcy did think of her as more than a friend.
“Hey Anne, I’m kinda cold…..do you think we could may be cuddle if that’s ok…” Anne needed a moment to process what Marcy just asked but she was pulled out of thoughts when Marcy started to panic” You don’t have if you don’t want to, I’m sorry I shouldn’t have asked..sorry!” Marcy was about to pull her hand away when Anne grabbed her shoulder. “No wait, it’s ok, I’m kinda cold too.”
They watched the rest of the movie while cuddling, and while Sasha wasn’t there she knew that Anne and Marcys relationship definitely changed that night
