Izuku lets out a half chuckle, shutting his phone off and setting it down. He runs both hands from his hair down to his chin, dragging his cheeks down in the process.
He sighs, pushing his chair out and digging through his closet. He eventually throws on an oversized (and old, it's colors are obviously washed out and the white is extremely stained, not to mention the loose stitching)
All Might hoodie Izuku vehemently refuses to throw out, claiming it was fine and he didn’t mind. He eyes his unfinished homework on his desk.
He should really, really finish that.
He almost brings it with him, before deciding against it. He quickly opens his door, slamming a bit harder than he normally does and winces.
Oops. He thinks dully, pressing the button on the elevator. It rolls down and up relatively easily, seeing as how early it is. When the elevator opens, he's quick to notice his lover, who oh so kindly waited for him.
The lover in question waves at him, bracelets jingling on his wrist. Izuku smiles at the familiar cat charm.
"Sorry to bother you so early," he murmurs, shuffling into the room. Hitoshi follows him, waving it off.
"Nah, don't worry about it," He says. "What do you wanna do? Chat? Sit around? I'm fine with anything."
"Can we just.. sit on the balcony?"
"The.. balcony? Sure, but why? It's cold as fuck out there."
Izuku laughs, "God, you're so dramatic." He teases. Hitoshi looks at him in faux betrayal.
"Me? Dramatic? Never.."
Izuku gives him a look.
"Seriously? Didn't you fake your death just because you didn't wanna spar with Kacchan?"
"...Touchè, touche," he mutters, pushing the door to the balconies open. Izuku graciously walks through it, relishing in the feeling of the frigid morning air kissing his skin.
"It is cold!" He gasps excitedly, like some little kid.
"Oh no, I think I'm dying. Hypothermia." Hitoshi calls out from the floor. (when did he get on the FLOOR?) "I want cat roses at my funeral."
Izuku stares at him incredulously. "..Too bad," he settles on, helping him up. Hitoshi blinks, pointing to the side
"The sun's coming up."
Izuku looks at where his lover is directing him to. "Oh. Already?" He asks rhetorically, admiring the beautiful clash of pink, blue, and orange, all surrounded by gray clouds of various sizes before turning back.
Hitoshi just stares at him.
"Uh.."
"Sorry, sorry, I was just admiring my boyfriend, you see."
"A-ah!!" He squeaks, cheeks reddening. "What.. what's the occasion? I mean.."
"Do I need one?" He laughs. Izuku laughs with him. It's a beautiful sound, carrying along the bird songs and by the surrounding rooms. A melody, composed of just them and only them.
His heart flutters.
"What's so special about me in the sun?"
"Lots of things." He says, unhesitant.
"Oh yeah?" He pushes. Hitoshi stares off into the sun, reciting everything from memory.
"Your bed hair is so messy and adorable, the green looks especially lovely with the orange light. Your freckles too- it highlights them perfectly. Your eyes are especially pretty, just like emeral-"
"Y-you can stop now!" He squeaks, waving his hands in front of him.
"Ah, damn…" Hitoshi sighs, dejected, clutching the wall for ' support. ' The younger one laughs again, filled with the same mirth and joy as before. He leans against the railing, fully facing the sun now.
"You know, I've always preferred sunsets," Hitoshi says, joining him.
"Why's that?"
He simply shrugs and Izuku takes this moment to lace his fingers with his lover's. It's cold and calloused, but still soft and loveable nonetheless.
He turns to face him, a small, cheeky grin growing on his face. "You know, you look good in the sun too."
"Idea thief."
"Oh shut up," he snickers, rubbing his thumb across Hitoshi's knuckles. The latter squeezes Izuku's hand in response. "I was going to say how it complimented your eyebags."
He receives a light smack in the head from Hitoshi's free hand. It makes him chuckle.
"So violent," he mumbles, smiling, but it feels like home all the same.
Yeah, Izuku thinks. Home.
Izuku has always preferred sunrises, anyway.
Click
Izuku jumps. "W-what?!"
"I took a photo, my dear."
He turns bright fucking red.
